| Is there a way to check which parts I already have that are on my wanted list?
Thanks

You can also do this using BrickStore

How exactly do you do that? I guess you can subtract one (wanted) list from another
(inventory) list and check which parts don't go into the negative numbers,
but that seems clumsy to me - is there an easier way?

You remove from your Wanted-List all your shop.
In your WL, the lots with numbers zero or negative are to be deleted.
Just sort by Qty, delete all this.
In short, it takes 2 or 3 clicks to do the whole.

Thanks, though not quite what I meant - I have my inventory as a BrickStock file.
If I now decide to build something new and make a wanted list with the necessary
pieces, is there a quick way to check the inventory against that wanted list
to find out what I need to buy?

Yes, CTRL+I, CTRL+S

|
Yes, as I wrote.
Open the shop inventory, open the WL.
Go to the WL, use the "-" minus button, substract the shop inventory.
Sort the WL by Qty.
Remove zero and negative values, it remains ONLY what you've to buy.

Right, now I get it, was thinking the wrong way round - thanks again!
