Hi, guys. Hope you know about war in my coutry. But there are few shops, which
are still work/survive in Ukraine. Mothly of them are real LEGO enthusiast. Every
sell is very important for them. So, if you can, make some support and buy from
Ukraine. PayPal available. Thanks!

Sorry, U.S. sanctions apply to Ukraine, too. Best wishes from the USA, sorry
that you have to suffer because of this.

Actually, I just tried to check out from your store and the system let me… Do
U.S. sanctions apply to Ukraine as well? I was under the impression that they
did, but this seems to suggest otherwise.

How can there be sanctions agains Ukraine, that'd be silly.
Restrictions maybe due to postal status unsafe, or such, but sanctions I can't
believe this.

You would think, but I'm pretty sure there were sanctions against Crimea
a few years ago when the Russians invaded. There was even a post on the BrickLink
forum by a seller who got suspended for trying to ship to a buyer from Crimea.
I mean, come on, how is it Crimea's fault for getting invaded? I am not sure
if those sanctions are still in effect, but I am also not sure that I would want
to buy from and/or sell to Ukraine right now. And I'm pretty sure that USPS
suspended all shipments to and from Ukraine, so it's a mute point, anyway.

Yes, but replying to an UA guy about sanctions against their Country is a bit
rough - apart you're VERY sure of what you say.

It's hard to be very sure of anything right now. All of my news is filtered
through the lens of the Western news agencies—I cannot trust that it is 100%
fair and objective. There is a lot of hearsay and gossip spreading in the U.S.
right now and no one really knows what is actually happening in Ukraine (except,
of course, for the Ukrainians).

Furthermore, sanctions are not an all-or-nothing affair. There are sanctions
against entire countries, like Cuba and North Korea. There are sanctions against
a specific region within a country, like Crimea. And there are sanctions against
specific individuals and/or organizations within a country, like Belarus. How
am I supposed to know if my buyer is connected with the Belarusian government?

The whole purpose of forums like the BrickLink forum and the original forums
in ancient Greece and Rome is to encourage debate and to help clear up misconceptions.

So - please don't post to an invaded Country Citizen "Sorry, U.S. sanctions
apply to Ukraine, too." if you're not sure.

And apparently after your tests, BL authorizes the transaction.

[...] and to help clear up misconceptions.

^ This, exactly.

There are no US sanctions or restrictions against Ukraine.
If there are any sanctions it is from individuals or sites, but not the government.

There are no sanctions for Ukraine.

True enough, but:
https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm

Delivery can take more time, but it works

”Ukraine Post advises that due to the conflict in the region international
postal transit through Ukrainian territory has been suspended until further notice.
Post offices will remain closed beginning Feb. 24 and postal deliveries are suspended
until further notice. As soon as the situation allows, the post will resume delivery
of all international postal items”

With the deteriorating situation having caused systems within the country to
further destabilized, since February - The USPS Disruption notices were updated
June 3rd

Let's hope it all begins to normalize, soon

I can appreciate your optimism, but…

The influencing factors that bring about failures within complex logistical systems,
rarely (if ever) affect unidirectionally. These systems are fundamentally amalgams
of systems, which in turn are comprised of contractors and subcontractors, etc
and-so-on. Many of these links are facing the same causations.

Exacerbating the situation further, are the divergences (political and logistical)
of those border countries to Ukraine that are of the global network Ukraine must
operate within. It is for now, simply not business as usual for operations within
Ukraine, even in the far western areas such as your beautiful Lviv.

Such things will begin to normalize though, hopefully sooner rather than
later. I believe it will, anyway.
