I’m wondering if there is a way to get a parts list for a certain section of
a Lego project. You know how for larger sets they break down each floor or section
(modular buildings)… I just want a parts list for a certain section. I really
don’t want to go through 100 pages and tally each and every single part and then
add them up… there has to be an easier way.

If you can find a 3D model (Studio-file or LDraw-file) of the project, you could
get the partial parts list through Studio. Just delete everything you don't
need and go to [Model] [Model Information] or upload your edited Studio file
to Bricklink directly.

Bricklink's inventory system does not provide information about subbuilds
or sections.
