I cannot seem to close my shop to go on holiday.

Can anyone suggest a work around as I am going into Management and selecting
close but the save button is not active.

Thanks but tried that and its still not working

Try clearing your browsing data to then select the site's "Preference cookies"
only when logging back into BL.
