Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for some help with an issue. This is my first time posting in
the discussion so I'm not sure if I will do everything correctly. I placed
an order from Blake_Files, store name Awesome Express, https://store.bricklink.com/Blake_Files#/shop
for 55 series 11 blind minifigure bags sealed at $5.94 each. It was a great price
which is why I purchased them all.

https://store.bricklink.com/Blake_Files#/shop

The seller filed a false OCR stating that he didn't have the inventory. Five
days later all the minifigure bags were reposted in his store as opened/verified
at a much higher cost than what each bag was listed for. Obviously he didn't
want to sell the items for what he had them posted and decided to cancel my order
and repost for more money.

What can I do to file a complaint against this seller or have them removed from
selling on Bricklink? Any help is much appreciated.

Stay Healthy and Happy Building!

Jason

You can't really do anything aside from leaving feedback and filing a NSS.
But if you haven't actually lost anything, a NSS won't stick anyway.

Least favourite the store and move on.

Hello yorbrick,

Thank you for the response. I figured that was the case.

Removed from selling here because they changed their mind? I'll agree they
(assuming this is the entire story) didn't go about it the right way but
removed from selling seems a bit dramatic. What if the seller thought they were
sealed but later realized they had all been sliced open under the back flap?
There's lots of reasons why this could have happened, including your hypothesis.
One thing is for sure you bought 55 of them sealed and they have 63 series 11
opened sets for sale, so you can't possibly be 100% correct.

As another person said, add to your least favorites and move on. This isn't
some corporate entity you were hoping to score a crazy deal on, just some seller,
another person just like you who may have just made a mistake. Was everything
handled properly? I'm not sure, I'd guess no since you are still quite
upset about it. Sorry it didn't work out but there are much worse things
in life to worry about. Probably not the pitchfork-in-hand response you were
looking for.

Hello randyipp,

I see your point and I am generally an understanding person when mistakes are
made especially when a seller lets me know that a mistake is made. I usually
reply with something along the lines of, "no worries, it happens with Lego...lol."
I received no response from the seller even after reaching out. In response to
the OCR I emailed back immediately with, "I saw that you canceled the order due
to not having the ordered items. Do you have some of them but not the request
amount or none at all? Thank you in advance."

I received no response and four days later the seller had a lot more series 11
minifigures in their shop that wasn't there previously. Listed for a lot
more money then if they had sold them to me at the price listed in their shop.
I can't recall the few figures that were in the shop when I made the order
but it was only like three. Low enough to recall it wasn't that much. I emailed
again with, "Did you seriously cancel my order and then post all the minifigures
in your shop?" I got no response to that either.

My concern isn't that they did it to me but that if they did it they may
have done it previously, will do it again, and potentially do other shady things. Is
that the type of seller you want on Bricklink?

Stay Heathly!

I do not think it was handled correctly, clearly, but we can't punish people
for future crimes, this isn't Minority Report.

Weren't you just going to open them and resell them? Looks to me that they
just realized they could do the same for more money. Seems to me that the biggest
issue here is that you had thought you would be getting some items for far below
market and didn't.

In the end you have left appropriate feedback, I mean it was a negative experience
for you, to me that should be the extent of what happens to a seller who changes
their mind. I mean how much to buyers get punished when they decide they don't
want an order after placing it?

There are sellers here that intentionally resell minifigures as new when they
are clearly used, to me that is an attempt at deceit, far worse than a simple
change of heart.

I agree it is pretty crappy of this store regardless of their reason, but there
is not much you will be able to do about it as long as you were sent a refund.
You left negative feedback. It may keep other buyers away.

Hello PapaPearson,

Thank you for the response. I did leave negative feedback. I didn't think
there was much I could do but I don't know all the in's and out's
of Bricklink.

Stay Healthy!

I think you handled this appropriately.

You'll find other great deals, just like you found this one. With any great
find, the possibility always exists of it falling through. It's happened
many times.

You can't force a seller to sell something to you and you can't force
a buyer to buy something from you. I just accept it and move on.
