| So I have become aware that some sellers on the internet offer replacement stickers
for the "faded gold syndrome" on the torso of classic space minifigs.
I can only assume they are already sold here on bricklink and it looks very difficult
to spot restored and original ones. I sell classic space minifigs and take a
higher price for those in good condition without faded torsos but that looks
like that has to change if I cant tell tje difference.
What is your opnion on restored items and pricing? Can I trust sellers on here
to be honest about it?

| It would be difficult to see what you are referencing without an image. |

The faded gold problem is one of printed torsos, not stickered ones, so I'd
guess they should be easy to differentiate - you may have difficulties making
sure that a stickered torso is authentic, but I'd go with the state of the
sticker there: If it looks brand new, it just might be. After 30+ years, there
has to be some ragged edge on the sticker, especially since back then they were
made of paper, not plastic.

I am not talking about the stickered versions but the printed ones. It looks
like custom gold print you put on the torso and then remove the sticker.

They look like DIY rub-down transfers rather than stickers. I wonder how long
they last, as transfers aren't great for play use unless you lacquer them.

| Only buy from trusted sellers is all I can say.
