Hello - I am working on "restoring" the sets from my childhood (mid-late 90s)
and in the process of piecing things back together I noticed subtle differences
in the undersides of plates and bricks in my collection. These included:

Bricks 2x4 or larger with cross supports
Bricks of all sizes without cross supports
Bricks with hollow pins and without cross supports

Plates with solid pins on underside
Plates with hollow pins on underside

Can anyone tell me what years the molds changed? I would like to be as accurate
as possible when piecing sets back together.

I really like ReBrickable website for these kind of things. Remember that many
mold variations overlapped for several years.

for your 1 x 6 brick:
3009 has solid pins or hollow pins and 1 or 2 cross supports that go halfway
down inside. production 1963-2022

3009a has no tubes and production ended in 1969

3009b has solid pins and cross supports going to the bottom edge of the brick,
production from 1984-2002

So whether you use solid pins or hollow or any variations on the cross supports
are acceptable for sets from 1984-2002.
