I received a false, malicious rating. There is corresponding correspondence showing
this. Still, it's impossible to remove this, why?

Because if it doesn't meet the FB removal process, they won't remove
it, even if it's unfair to you.

Try talking to the other member and remove both your FBs.

Sounds like you both need to sit down and communicate about what it would take
to work this situation out. You could both start with removing your negative
feedbacks for each other, and then talk.
