Hi, as an example...
I can see the minifig head part number bricklink uses = 3626cpb2593, but a search
on LEGO website does not know this ID.
Ive found the head on LEGOs website = 6289408, and can use this ID that LEGO
themselves use within bricklink to find the head, bricklink class this as a 'Part
Color Code'.

So my question is, the bricklink system obviously knows the official LEGO part
ID, but how do I get the page with the head on to show me the actual LEGO part
ID, and not just the ID that bricklink uses? Then I can just search on LEGO website
for a few parts I cant find sellers for on bricklink.

Thanks

Use the "color images" button. This will show you the Lego PCC number.

This is why I read the forums, I never knew those were on that page. Thanks!

It was that long ago that I found this out myself either. I only had to learn
it because I wanted to learn the process for adding new set inventories and there
was a PCC that needed to be update. There is always something behind the button
clicks.
