I have free shipping for orders $30+ in my store but I would like to post larger
sets but not have the free shipping option for the large sets. How would i do
this?

I have posted in my terms that the free shipping is for minifigures, parts and
small sets only.

Set limits on the sizes in the shipping options. Any order over $30 under a certain
volume gets free shipping, anything over a certain size get charged for shipping
according to weight, volume, individual dimensions, order value, etc, whichever
variables you want to set.

If you're concerned about Instant Checkout then you can set your set entries
to "Manual Only" instead of Weight Bound or Volume Bound.
