I started my Bricklink store about 6 months ago. I have the physical side
of drawers and small containers pretty much set up, thanks to suggestions on
this forum. But now things are getting Real!
I sell completed sets, minifigs, bricks, instructions, books, and specialty
vintage bricks and items. I would also like to keep track of incomplete sets
awaiting parts. I sell on bricklink, ebay, kijiji(used free site),facebook marketplace
as well as in person at Craft Sales(and Yes they have been profitable). So far
I have simply been writing down what I bought and when, as well as what I sold
and when/where, but I sometimes have memory issues. I need to keep track of
everything I have when asked by a buyer (especially in person). Also I have
a $5000 limit on my income due to disability payments and need to keep close
track of sales verses expenses.

I need an inventory and accounting system that is fairly straight forward and
accessible. I could set up spread sheets as I have some experience doing this
but I was pretty sure I had read about other programs already set up. Any Ideas?

Inventory: easy.

BrickStore!

Created in 2006 by a German developper - rewritten in 2021: free and open source.

To update to the latest build (recommended), use the very last one here:

You found a bug? It may be already signaled, and it's fixed quickly, here:

Accounting: someone will probably post on an online service that does this.

I don't know you - but us, especially as a company - would NOT post on any
online server our commercial information, as clients (including postal address),
phone, payment mode and amounts paid.

In short, I'd recommend you to use an Excel or such local application

Hoping it helps?

Hello TerraBrick,

I made BLS Manager that can help you keep track of store statistics and orders,
You could also check out BrickTrac, I think that it can keep track of incomplete
sets.

Just to chime in - BrickTrac was created specifically to keep track of incomplete
sets (and turn them into complete sets), but it's also fully integrated into
BrickLink and it tracks cash flow and profits, so if your $5000 limit is on a
cash basis or accrual basis I've got you covered

Both BLSM and BrickTrac are in active development - Erwin and I are both sellers
too - so we're both really open to suggestions to make the apps more useful.

One note - you didn't mention your setup, but both programs are Windows-only.

Please reach out and say hi, and definitely join us on the discord servers -
you'll find lots of support there for what you're trying to accomplish!
