Hi guys, any UK sellers know the Royal Mail custom code for Lego please? I just
cannot find it anywhere, tried all various things and having a nightmare here.
Not had to put this code in before, obviously a new thing in place. Great.

Cheers
Steve

The standard six digit HS Code is:
9503.00 ¹

Anything after that is country specific.

For the EU 9503.00.35 ²
For Canada 9503.00.90 ³
for the US 9503.00.00 ⁴

I use "Plastic Toy Parts" as a description.

There is also a production code on the tape seal or embossed on an end seal.
Look up the letter code to see which factory it was packaged in. You can use
to determine country of origin:

B = Shenzhen, China
G = Possible China
H = Nyíregyháza, Hungary
M = Billund, Denmark (normal sets)
O = Billund, Denmark (Exclusives and store promotions)
Q = Purkersdorf, Austria
R = Ciénega de Flores, Mexico
S = Kladno, Czech Republic
T = City Stationary China

Cheers mate, I will try that then. I do normally put plastic toy but on the Royal
Mail site, there is nothing under that or similar. Bloody pain in the rear.

Oops, I guess I should update my references. Source 1, should be the 2022 edition.

For the UK:
https://www.trade-tariff.service.gov.uk/headings/9503

Look under 9503.00.35

With the requirement to add a tariff (or HS Code), many services supply their
own country's HS code, In this case, Royal Mail provides a link to HMRC.

This is great when asked for the six digit version, but when asked for the eight
or ten digit version, you need to look up the buyer's country import code.

You'd think that with an Harmonized System (HS), they would all be the same,
but the World Customs Organization only defines the first six digits, anything
after that is country specific.
