Sets are getting bigger - and so are the LEGO boxes - and I like to have my LEGO
on display; not away in the original boxes - so what to do with the empty boxes
? - I should keep the boxes for the eventuality of future selling; right ? -
they have only been opened in one end - where the thumb flaps are -- but
can I open in the other end too and thous flatten the box completely - would
help save a LOT OF SPACE

what is the conventional wisdom regarding this ??

If you flatten the box completely, it will not have the necessary stability afterwards.
