| Like the topic states, I’m curious to see how other sellers keep their inventory
up to date?
Thanks

Local registration, upload through CSV, download through API. Local is leading,
inventory on BrickLink is following. Works great.

I know of one former BL seller who wrote an app that would run (once a day) and
compare every item he had listed against the BL average sold prices and then
would automatically adjust his shop prices. Last I knew, he was unwilling to
sell it to anyone else even tho he no longer uses it.
As for physical inventory quantity counts, I do what I call "Live Auditing" while
I am picking orders where I verify the remaining quantity of the items at hand.
When I am putting new items away into storage, I will often audit an entire
storage container at the same time to verify quantities. My own shop, being
open less than a year, rarely has quantity problems; shops that have been open
for many years may experience problems more frequently, especially if many people
have access to the inventory. It is so easy for stuff to go missing for a hundred
different reasons.
Over the past 20 years, I have worked for a few different BL sellers auditing
their inventories. Opening each drawer and verifying the contents manually is
really the only way to accomplish this. It definitely takes time and a good
knowledge of Lego parts, part names, colors, and knowing how to interpret the
price guide.

| Since 2017 I've been using Brick Seller to manage my BrickLink and Brick
Owl inventory and orders.
If you are not familiar with Brick Seller, you can find a link to it on the BrickLink
Inventory Software links here: https://www.bricklink.com/links.asp?catID=9
