Hi,
I received this flag in a used 4195 set. The skull and the pattern around it
are just plain with no colour. Usually the patterned part would be red. Is
this a know variant or could this be sun/another form of damage.

Thanks.

I would guess it's a misprint that just didn't receive the red layer
of ink. Nice find

In which case, then the tan "layer" of the skull wasn't applied either

Seems as though it must be some kind of factory error and has avoided all coloured
ink. Must admit I think it looks a little odd on the ship when built I would
have preferred the correct coloured version. Ah well seems like its a bit of
a rarity at least.

A very nice set, let me know if you'd like the proper flag for it, Lindsay.
We've some stock from partouts of both sets, that we may never get around
to listing. I'll send as a Christmas gift to you, a new flag for your set.
Just pm with your address if interested.
