| Hi
For the third time this month we have a buyer paying BEFORE we added shipping
costs and handling charges. So we have to send buyer a request to pay the remainder.
In the last case it was a 25 Euro order where buyer asked for letter shipping
where it is a mammoth that can only shipped by parcel @ 25 Euro. So he even might
not have orderedit knowing the right shipping costs, and may want to cancel.
So we have to cancel (pp costs lost)
More over the possibility to add shipping costs is blocked.
This is really very annoying and takes a lot of extra correspondebse and frustration
for both buyer ans seller.

The only way I think you can avoid this is to make sure that the e-mail address
you have on BrickLink with your account is not tied to any payment processing
like PayPal (so they can't know where to send funds until you send the invoice).
I've found that since I've done this, I haven't had any payments
sent to me in advance to an invoice being sent.

| Hi
Thanks, but this does not completely help running into trouble. Say we use another
e-mail and buyer pays to that non-existing e-mail address and is not aware of
the fact that it is not the right one, and he puts the order on PAID. I still
can't send out the proper invoice because the possibility to add costs is
blocked.
So maybe the option to put the payment on ' sent' should be blocked
until the invoice has been sent?
It also won't avoid early payments, but it makes it possible to send out
the right invoice.

They can still send a payment, and you need to figure out a way to collect it
or wait a very long time for it to time out. I actually had to connect my communications
e-mail to my PayPal account to avoid running into trouble in these situations.
It's amazing how willing some people are sending their money random places
without any indication it's going to end up well..
