| I'm sure discussion of this topic has already been raging, but..
They can't keep purging stuff after six months, like they've always done
in the past, because there are now VAT issues and tax issues, that we sellers
must address. Personally, the fact that they are STILL collecting sales tax,
instead of seller tax numbers, is an absolute insult. BL / Lego has increased
my costs by 8% this past year, and I have to go get it back myself.

If you click the "download" link, you can download general details about all
orders - those are never purged.
However, Bricklink is not a bookkeeping program, so whether it's Bricklink,
a website, garage sales or something else, in the end a seller is always responsible
for their own administration. (Personally, I don't trust Bricklink to do
anything for me)

The subject also need to be subdivided between what BL is doing here, and the
division between B2B and B2C sales. At the moment, BL is treating all sales as
B2C. To do all the various needful things, BL needs to develop an entire strategy
for B2B sales, rather than doing it piecemeal. Some of the people shipping via
freight forwarders are B2B as well. Anytime someone approaches a BL seller to
do drop-shipping fulfillment, that is B2B also. So this is a wide ranging/complicated
issue that needs to be addressed.

it's not complicated at all.. when ebay started collecting taxes, the first
thing they did was ask for every sellers' tax numbers, and flagged the accounts
accordingly.. BL should have done the same thing
from the end of 2019, it was only about 30 dollars for me, so I left it hanging..
this time around, I have to deal with it cuz BL has been charging me all year..
and everyone else
