| There have been a couple recent threads that are quite distasteful to me. They
involve our volunteer administrators/community experts.
Instead of calling out any one specific post or poster, I wish to use this post
to thank our administrators/community experts for all for the work they do to
make Bricklink what it is today, one of the most respected sources of Lego information
on the web.
This includes current and past members of this elite, capable, and respected
minority here. I know I probably could not do what they do, and know I would
not put up with the bull sh*t that they seem to be getting recently without telling
the commenter where they could stuff their opinions.
Thank you to you all! I for one appreciate what you do or have done to make
this site great.
Detractors, please, if you can not say something nice, then keep it to yourself
(preferred) or at least in another thread (if you just can't contain your
negativity.)

The volunteers have always been the backbone of this site. In the early days
Dan's dream was more than one person could do. Many people throughout the
years have made this site what it is today. One of the most useful things that
volunteers have managed is the catalog. There is nothing as up to date (almost)
and more important than than this catalog. Lego itself has nothing like it and
their records are incomplete and Bricklink's catalog was put together by
volunteers and members. Still correcting and adding the catalog is unique because
of its exactness and discussions, additions, and subtractions by the admins and
members. When praising the admins, we also need to add those members that contributed
just because of their love of Lego.

Well said, John. This site is an incredible resource as well as a fine marketplace,
and that's solely because of the people involved. The buyers and sellers,
often the people who contribute information for the catalog as well, are the
visible side of this, but without the impressive work done by admins, cataloguers,
moderators and others none of us would have anything much to use.
And like you, I'm also often impressed by their patience and helpfulness
as much as I'm dismayed by the crap they have to put up with.
