If you are trying to complete a project and you have most of the parts and you
filter a store by wanted list you have to sift through pages and pages of already-owned
parts and look for the little red numbers that indicate you still need some.
It would be neat if I could filter just by parts on a wanted list that I don't
already have.

That option is already there.
When in the store, click on 'All Filters' scroll a bit down to the last
options.
There you will find 'Hide Items if Have Qty is ≥ Want Qty'
