Thanks for the reply. I had a thought that it was 3 months but just looking on
PayPal it says “you have 45 days to file a dispute”. Either way this particular
order is from April so I think the 3 months would be up anyway.
My concern would be feedback and would BrickLink remove a negative (if posted)
in this situation?

Olliels is the user name for the one that’s complaining with me. He ordered on
10 April marked the package as received then completed and now complains parts
are missing.

A seller should inform the buyer as soon as possible, preferably before sending
the parcel.

Presumably you mean buyer though. In that case, no formal timescale is set. BL
keeps order details for six months and disputes at PayPal need to be opened within
six months.

Hi sorry, yes I meant buyer. This buyer is obviously contacting different sellers
today and it seems ridiculous that he can make a claim for an order from 3 months+
ago? If the parcel was missing, I would only have something like a 45 day window
to claim with the Royal Mail so surely something similar should apply?
