I am a UK seller and have shipped around 10 orders to the EU since the new VAT
regs came in on JUly 1st. My current procedures are to include the BrickLink
VAT receipt and a copy of my original invoice in a gripseal bag sellotaped to
the back of the package and labelled customs documents. I also write out the
CN22 customs form and put the Bricklink IOSS No in the VAT line on the customs
form. I then pay at the Post Office for the label to be attached. Does anyone
agree that this should be sufficient?
The reason I ask is that if you print the label and customs forms via PAYPAL
you are asked to enter the IOSS number. Does anyone know if the IOSS number is
transmitted electronically as part of the label info using the Paypal label print
facility? I am aware that the Bricklink advice says the IOSS number should be
sent electronically, but is it essential?
I have had one feedback from a buyer in Hungary who had to pay the VAT again!
The customs documents attached to the package were unopened!
Any advice on other sellers experiences would be welcome.
