I hope this is the right place. I've bought a few used sets on here, and
a couple of them actually came with the correct bag numbers. Is there a database
that has this information? Or did the seller go through every single step in
the instructions to figure it out? With a small set, I can understand doing that,
but one of the sets was Metalbeard's Sea Cow..2700+ pieces. If there's
a database, I'd love to know. If not, I wish I could figure out who I bought
it from and pay them a little bit extra for all of that work!

Thanks

I don't think that information exists on this website, although it has been
suggested many times. The only way that I know how to do that is to go through
the instructions step-by-step. Some sets are also built in sections, so one could
simply take apart one section at a time.

There's no database I'm aware of, it's a manual process. I've
done it once or twice with already built models that I just took apart in reverse
order, but it is definitely much more time consuming.

I've heard of a few OCD sellers who do it just because they have to. :o
