| I am proposing (with tongue in cheek) the ability to list a set as new in sealed
package, built once.
This has been the result of a party contest where you give all the kids a polybag
and see who can first build the simple model pictured, all without opening the
bag. Most often there's only a narrow clear stripe on the back where you
can see what you're doing.
We did this with a little boat with a guy in it like 30017. It was simple enough
to do without instructions. Love to try it with the 5-wide Elva, 30343, but you'd
definitely need a set of instructions to reference.

I love it. "Built once, never opened." Can't wait until people start doing
this with boxed sets.

Seller are really creative sometimes, just look at the "New (incomplete)" listings
for the new Guardians' Ship... Even funnier when the name of the store matches...
or not!

| All the minifigure-only listings make sense because the individual catalog pages
for them don't exist yet, but "Brand new in box, without minifigs and their
accessories. Pre-order item." is beyond me.
I assume the German store is parting out the sets after they pick the minifigures,
but the Hong-Kong shop that sells the part bags as is as a "pre-order" item?

One gets the impression that the seller doesn't have the set on hand, doesn't
one?

| One does indeed, although they seem to have a very good idea about what to do
with it once they presumably get the set.
