| i've had deletion of a minifig and unsure why this time around, it met your
guidelines, it's a complete minifigure, with all correct parts
it relates to two figures SH154 and SH146, the two items you have on this website
show the figure with the wings spread open, but you don't have a listing
with the figure using the alternative wings (collapsed) so i list with the one
you have and in the description explained it was the alternative wings
can you either allow this the listing of these figures allowing the alternative
parts or add a second listing (perhaps with a "a" suffix so they can be sold
as a complete figure.
lego dont give you two figures in the set, one for each wings.
I hope this can be sorted to make life easier

Could you mark it as custom maybe to stop it getting deleted? I've just had
a set deleted but again it didn't tell me why. I've listed it as used
and incomplete yet apparently that still wasn't good enough - I always write
any issues in the extended description and wondering if that kicks it out. There
seems to be no rhyme or reason!

But then it's not complete according to the Bricklink inventory of the minifigure,
hence it gets deleted. If they allowed replacement of pieces, then anyone could
theoretically list an incomplete minifigure and say "head replaced with blue
1x1 plate".
So you either have to list all the pieces separately, include the correct wings,
or mark it as a custom minifigure.

its not replacement pieces, read what i wrote...alternative that came with the
set, hence you had a choice when you built it yet only one version of it exists
on here, im not replacing with a random part from another set

Please look into the messages posted previously on acceptable inventories for
minifigures, you cannot list anything outside of the BL inventory. the pieces
will sell, or buy the correct wings and the fig will sell. In fact you could
probably sell for more if you included both sets of wings.

I know that; I did read what you wrote. But what I'm saying is that BL doesn't
care about alternates. If they allowed you to replace an item in the minifig's
inventory with an item not in its inventory, even if the reason may be slightly
valid, it would open the door for sellers to replace any item with anything;
and believe me, there are sellers that would do that if they could get away with
it.
Bricklink uses the assembly instructions in set's instruction booklet to
determine the pieces of a minifig. To list a minifigure on BL, it must have at
least all the parts in the minifigure's inventory.
There are many star wars figures that come with a hair and helmet, but the bricklink
inventory only includes one or the other depending on the assembly instructions
in the set.

Even if there are alternative pieces to the figure in the set, they are not allowed
per BL's minifigure policy.
Per Randyf: Our guidelines are that the figure is considered first fully
built either when the handheld accessories are first attached to the figure according
to the set instructions or when a separate set of numbered instructions begins
for other parts of a figure.
So looking at the instructions for the two.
Hawkman is considered complete after Step 2 since the accessory is attached at
step 3. Step 2 shows the long wings, therefore those are in the figure inventory.
Space batman is also complete after step 2.
Although in both cases, it shows the alternative wings as being in the instructions.
A general rule is that unattached parts cannot make up a minifig assembly therefore
the folded wings for Hawkman and folded wings / alt head for batman are not part
of the figure assembly because they do not first appear in the instructions as
being connected to the figure.
There are exceptions to this rule like with Oscar the Grouch not being connected
to his garbage can, but the garbage can still being part of the figure.
Just trying to shed some light, not saying I agree or disagree with it.
