I have never seen any quite like this, got them in a lot awhile back. If they're
real, what part is this? If fake (and I'm guessing likely fake) I'll
toss them.

Fake.

Check that lot carefully. I find that the hips are obvious fakes but torsos/heads
etc are harder to catch. Anything super hero themed should be checked VERY carefully,

I'll check with a fine tooth comb, for sure. I dide find a couple other figures
that were quite obviously fake in the same lot, I'll make sure to look all
the other figure parts over and make doubly sure I got them all. Thank you for
your input!

I've seen these sold at a few different conventions/cons. Usually the person
will have the booth set up, explain how they are doing such an awesome service
to you by selling you mini figures at $5 each instead of buying your kid the
whole set they come in. They are always very careful not to say Lego, but also
very careful not to mention what they are selling isn't Lego. I made a kid
cry once when I showed his Mom that the figures were rip offs. I've seen
them mostly in super heroes and a few Star Wars.

I did find a couple figures that are fake from that lot, and they look to be
superhero figures indeed. They look pretty convinving but it's easy enough
to tell when you take a closer look. I'm gonna hold onto them as a reminder
of what to watch out for!
