Hi all,
I have had 2 incomplete sets listed for a couple of months now, with no interest.
The sets are retired, and around 98% complete. I have lots of positive feedback,
and feel the sets are "priced to sell".
Does anybody have any feedback around selling incomplete sets?

Thanks

I was going to say "around 98%" is too unclear and doesn't meet the listing
guidelines but having looked in your store you have been clear which parts are
missing.

In the case of the Benny Spaceship (am quite tempted myself...) the 5 parts missing
out of nearly 900 is over 99% complete. The lack of interest might be the 2x
trans yellow 6070 you are missing as I cannot see any UK Bricklink or Ebay sellers
with this part. Overall the price is good but maybe a bit cheaper would trigger
a sale as it comes with a bit of a problem of either keep checking (possibly
for months) for the part to become available in the UK or paying international
shipping.

Also it might also help to add a few photos so people can see if the stickers
are applied well and if there is any wear to the bricks?

I will correct myself although the trans yellow 6070 mentioned in your description
is not available from any UK Bricklink or Ebay sellers it would be stickered
on this set and the counterpart 6070pb009 is available from 3 UK sellers who
have 1 each. Not such a problem. Still might be worth updating the description
with the correct reference and securing those parts to make the set easier to
sell?

The other option you have is to just part them out into your store, it'll
most likely make more money too even if some of the parts do take a long time
to move.

A couple of months is not long for something to be listed on Bricklink. Some
listings may take years to sell and sometimes price elasticity of demand is low
so if you reduce the price too much you are probably just giving them away. Either
be patient or part them out... but be prepared for some parts to take time to
sell also.

You could buy the missing parts and sell as complete. At least you have put what
is missing and not just 98%.

Benny's spaceship, 3 new and 4 used have sold in six months in GBP. Your
price does seem reasonably low compared to the others so it may be timing, or
it may be that the buyers cannot be bothered to buy the missing parts and go
for a complete one instead.

Hi everyone,
Thanks all for the feedback. The parts missing are described on the listing,
so the buyer understands what is included and what is missing.

I understand now about the counterpart windows, which I didn't know before.
I guess its a choice of sourcing the missing parts to achieve a "complete" price
Vs waiting it out.
