| I think it would be nice to provide an option to fix the price of an item and
bind it to the actual average price so its price will vary with the average price
fluctuation.
Since it's a data that BL has, I think it would be easy for programmers to
adjust.
That would prevent a lot of problems, like parting out a set putting the average
price but having problems in selling an item because its average price becomes
much smaller with the time going, for example.

I cannot see this working as it is very easy to manipulate. For example, if you
list an item then another user could also list the same item very cheaply and
use another account to buy it and so bring down the average price sold. Your
item gets repriced to the new low average and they buy it, then cancel their
original fake sale. Or if you bind it to the current average listed price, they
just list items very cheaply but do not allow them to be sold.

At the moment most people I know are parting out sets for the average prices,
so what you say may be already applied.

No, because once a set is parted out, the prices are fixed - so a seller can
check them at the time of listing and knows what the part will sell for if someone
orders it.
Whereas with an automatic average price, that continually adjusts the price as
the average changes, the seller will have no check on what the price of their
items are sold for. The average can be manipulated with fake orders, the order
placed, then the fake orders cancelled and the seller cannot see why their items
sold so cheaply.

| It could be a mess if prices chaged automatically but I would be happy to see
a function that sets my prices - of the items I choose - to the 6 months avarage
manually by clicking a button.
Sorry for the off topic but how could you do that now? Checking each item's
price guide one by one and setting the actual price? Or using BrickStock which
is a little complicated if your store is not in USD?
