Just one question at start - did you comunicate with BL administration before
start to use their API in non-free software?

I realy like this Idea, my IT-team had same project with more cool functions
some years ago, but we had problems with Bricklink terms.

I think this is a service, not software? Does that make a difference with your
question?

I think no difference, we had comunication with BL API admins about our project
when found that we can't make it non-free.
We wanted to make web-service with many seller tools include separate accounts
for employees in one store, auto-notifications, many statistics and data-analisys,
easier part-adding interface, price algoritms, sync with BO and others and others.
We received answer that we can't ask our clients to pay money for functionality
that use BL API.

Of course we had a plan to split our software for free part that use BL API and
non-free part with our own functions what doesn't use API, but finaly we
calculate and it was need more than EUR 15-20.000 to complete our plans. With
main part of software that will be free we were afraid that it will not be reasonable
so just some functionality was realeased for my store as private software.

But BrickSync was at donate system not just becouse he want it, but becouse it
is the only way as I know.

Yes, thanks, hard to find from mobile phone.
As I said.
You can't make monthly charge for all your software if it include BL API.
You should make free part of software that use API (as BrickSync was) and charge
just for your own functions and Ideas.
