Just was FORCED to accept an update ToS regulation in order to ACCESS my account?
Did I miss a notice about this?
If I did not accept, all my data would be inaccesable! Where's the 'buy
time option' so I can consider AFTER reading it to leave or stay? I am now
forced to accept otherwise my store etc has become inaccessable.
I would not even be able to fullfill open orders or payments.

very odd and maybe unlawfull (who's checking this?) way to impose new rulings,
guys......

Notice?! BL send out notices, pfft - never happens. To make you feel better here
is one:

Dear Valued BrickLink User
Today we will be updating out terms of service which you must accept or bugger
off. We can update this anytime and as usual, there will be all sorts of things
wrong with the site afterwards. Check the forum if anthing in your store does
not work as anticipated. There are sure to be members who will have workarounds
for you. Or you can just wait patiently while we fix everything.

We will not tell you what has changed in our terms. As a seller we keep a history
of your terms for your customers to see, but since you are our customer, we do
not care for niceties. Just click and be done with it, do not be so demanding.
Our fees did not change, we moved to Hong Kong, you must be Danish in order for
he Law to be applicable to you and you can expect unlimited downtime anytime.
If there is anything else you need to know, contact the help desk. That is not
covered by the terms of service so they might actually give you some, service
that is.

Thabk you for understanding and Regards (Typo to be fixed later so as to make
you sign again)

None of this bodes well and it's only the beginning. I hate the rug being
pulled out from under my feet. Either we roll with it or bow out. Undecided.

There is nothing permanent about you accepting their new terms of service. You
can take as much time as you want to consider them.

There is nothing permanent about you accepting their new terms of service. You

I wish we could edit posts. To further and perhaps belabor the point, you did
not endorse the terms. You didn’t say you liked them. You just attested that
you know they are in fact the terms, which in fact they are regardless..

Is there something bothersome about the new terms? I looked through most of
them - looks like they made some minor (for me) policy updates in prep for the
LEGO takeover. No change to fees. Basically they added legal mumbo jumbo on top
of Bricklink's more layman-written terms.

But if you don't like them can't you just accept them then close the
account?

That's the whole point: you first have to agree, so that is a binding contract.
If I want to execute my 'rights' (= using the site for fullfilling my
obligations to buyers) there is this issue:

1) orders placed before 13-12-2019 subside to ToS
2) execution of these orders on or after 13-12-2019 subsides under ToS =
13-12-2019 because I have to (no other way!) agree with the ToS to get to those
orders

In normal business (unless one goes bankrupt) regulations there is a transition
phase for these acts that land in the middle.

I don't know whether orders are affected by this, but it would have been
nice if these things had been taken into account. Many feel ourselves once more
not taken seriously in these matters.
