| Hi.
I sent a question regarding an order to bricklink support (through the form on
the webpage, with an attachment) like what must be almost a week ago, and I'm
still to receive a response. And now the person I might purchase from (depending
on what the bricklink people say) is naturally starting to complain that it's
taking too long. So I'm wondering how long should I except it to take for
Bricklnk to respond to a question? I'm assuming the question was sent because
that's what the page said after I hit "send".
Thanks in advance

| Hmmm...I see.
Well, the question was, if a seller (from a certain central european country
I have prior bad experience - online shop scam) suddenly lowers the price of
a normally fixed cost, and then demands that I pay in advance even though when
I placed the order I could choose (and did choose) pay on delivery, am I being
oversuspicious in having a bad feeling about this sudden change, or is this common
on Bricklinks...and why does Bricklink enable the option pay on delivery if the
buyer can demand payment in advance anyway? Prior to this I've never ordered
stuff from anywhere else but Swedish sites and German Amazon (and only because
what I was looking for wasn't available through any reliable Swedish sites
or German Amazon).
Thanks for the quick answer btw.

Very few (if any) BrickLink orders are paid in advance. Paying up front is normal
for this site.
If you place an order on Bricklink, you must pay for the order. If you don't,
the seller has a right to submit a complaint against you and cancel the order.

I think you meant “on delivery”

Okay, good to have that cleared..but what does this mean exactly then (quote
from the order):
"Payment By: COD (Cash On Delivery)
Payment Instructions: (not specified)"
(I assumed it to be paying to check out the package from the post office representative..not
a too unusual delivery option in Sweden..and not a bad one for paranoid people)

What I’ve gleaned from reading other similar posts, it can take some time. I
can imagine it also may depend on the question.
I’d advise placing your question here in the forum (omitting personal info) Perhaps
you’ll get, in the interim, some useful advise, there are many savvy members
that spend time here in the forum. You may also grab the attention of an admin,
a couple of whom audit the forum.
