Hello,

Firstly, I apologize for the trouble.

I added a Set by mistake to "parts" , and I was hoping someone could
delete all the parts so it's not counting them in my parts inventory? The
8 sets in My Collection are correct, just not all the parts from the Space set.

Thank you for your support.

and my BL emails prove I sold about 6 weeks ago, but appeared in a new order.
I know it's an error listing because the Retain Lots was NOT enabled and
pretty much 100 percent of my inventory items have Retain Lots turned ON.

Wasn't the update just a few nights ago? That is usually the pre-cursor
to this type of problem cropping up.

Already said: do you have recent invxml.txt files downloaded and timestamped
to check and compare?

Or BrickStore files?

If not, it's very possibly an human error, or a inventory sync in between
platforms?

I could verify 2 BrickLink cases where it increased our Inventory of a lot in
almost 5 years. So 2 in 48hrs, sur that can happen, but far more probably something
else.

I see in your inventory you have many items with bulk x4 and x20, could it be
that when listing this item you wanted to put x20 and typed 10 instead?

You can download Brickstore and sort your inventory by the retain column to see
if all items are changed, do you use any other software?

I have been doing a massive switch from one type of storage to another, doing
inventory in the process. I was missing about a fifth to a quarter of my stock.
I never saw anything weird during the great BrickLink hack of 2023. I changed
my password etc. it's bizarre though, entire lots missing, thousands of pieces.

this happens to me too much. Always happens in groups, like they backed up our
inventory from an old database.

Recently, BL sold a torso I never had listed. I thought perhaps I had imputed
it accidentally, apologized to the customer, and made sure I did not have any
more in my inventory. This was some odd/rare torso in a non existent color.

a few days later, bl sells it AGAIN. Same song and dance.

It sold yet a third time.

The orders were not cancelled, just given credit for the "missing" part,
so I have no idea how it kept getting put back in my inventory and selling over
and over when it was never in my inventory to begin with.

I've had this happen about 1-2 times a year but always figured I was at fault
even though it didn't seem that way, after the whole recent fiasco I don't
think its me.

Haha yes!

I'm actually more shocked these days when I can't remove a stain, between
acetone, alcohol and H2O2 and the fabulous magic eraser (do not use on lego though,
I've learned the hard way you can see the scratches)

The disinfectant wipes, doesn't have to be lysol, work. They also take the
stickiness off if removing stickers. Or hand sanitizer (alcohol?).

While I'm sure your answer was covered by the others...

#1 There is a reason BL has the review section when you post new items. Its
good to review it before you blindly click. I've caught a few fat finger
typings during my listings.

#2 If you use the radio button for sales options be sure you ABSOLUTELY know
what your doing before hand and After you are done with the sale and review your
items again.

#3 Its always good to review your stuff every few months. Just to be sure.

Outside of that some have claimed over the years we have gremlins. While I know
these Gremlins exist, in all my time here I have never seen something magically
change until it was something I did via 1-3 listed above.

Cheers

Gremlins were, but not with the prices, but with the number of items, with onsite
payments, more items were returned to the warehouse than there actually were.
If the system evaluated these onsite payments as not executed, the items from
the warehouse were not written off, but the order in the deposit was then added
to them, so when someone then bought items to zero, I had 2x more than the actual
amount after such an unexecuted order. It happened to me with several orders
and quite large ones, when my warehouse suddenly grew by several thousand items
without me doing anything. But that was 2 years ago and luckily I haven't
registered anything like that since then.

I do know that qt# are one of those Gremlins but with my Store being small I
caught the few times it happened or before the order got processed to deal
with it. While I have NO way to prove it. I suspected a few years ago it was
tied to the Tier Pricing. almost like each tier could have been adding to the
inventory. When I worked the math it didn't make sense so I didn't bother
digging further and just always redid inventory checks every few months against
a previous qt count of the higher bulky items.

As the others said, there's no built-in way to check, but that's one
of the things BrickStore is excellent for - just one click to backup your stock;
do it regularly, and you have offline copies of everything to verify in case
of problems!
Anyway, don't fret too much, I don't think there's anybody here who
never had problems to learn from, welcome and enjoy your time on Bricklink!

that depends on the seller and country

most of the time it is on the shippinglabel and a copy is automaticly send to

ín some countryl's the seller gets a trackcode at the counter of the postoffice
and has to send the trackcode him/herself by email

If the seller entered it, it would be on the order detail page. It might also
be in the "drive-thru" email if the seller sent one.

It sounds like you may have just entered the wrong price, I once bought a minifigure
for 15p and the seller messaged me saying they meant to put £15 and cancelled
the sale because they messed up.

There are a handful of times I questioned the price at which someone purchased
something from me. They seemed lower than what I would have wanted. You can't
get that data after the fact, but what you can do for future instances, is mark
everything in your inventory to "retain items after being sold out" (or
whatever it's called). It's in your inventory page at the bottom. This
will preserve that item with a zero quantity in your stock room at the original
price.

Turns out my issue was inadvertently having items on sale (like I put all black
and orange items on 50% sale when the Bengals went to the Super Bowl, but I didn't
realize that included my Darth Vaders. So I sold out of nearly all of them in
a day.) or when I would upload a new parted out set using the NEW price, not
realizing that the newly updated prices were 15% lower than a year prior.

It's way more likely you fat fingered a typo on the price than a glitch.

There is nowhere to confirm, other than the order. I'm not saying a glitch
is impossible, but there is no normal, intended way for a customer to buy something
at a lower price than you listed. The most likely scenario is that you entered
a different number than you intended.

New seller. First order. Buyer purchased set for a price which I believe is less
than I listed for, but I cannot confirm what I listed it for. Is there a place
to do that?

  Hello,

I would need some helo please.

Is there by chance a possibility to change more remarks in the store inventory
at once?

For example, the remark "box 1" (50 lots) needs to become "box 100".
So I am not willing to change one by one these 50 remarks. This will take me
ages to do so for the whole inventory (nearly 19k lots)...

Can I change the 50x remark "box 1" to "box 100" at once?

Thank you in advance

Read through the Help Guides and Forum to learn how everything works. Then ask

First thing: buy from another seller to get positive feedback (all feedback is
transactional on BrickLink). Once you have a positive feedback you can convert
your account to a seller account.

Then you'll be asked to submit documents for verification.

Hi,

The one time code depends on “your machine” and is only valid for a month.
“Your machine” is identified by several supposedly invariable data (I don’t know
what BL is using).  If you used another browes, or if the cookies were deleted,
or if the month is out, then you need a new OTC.  Updating your OS and/or your
browser may also change the identity of “your machine.”

Some people have deactivated the OTC because they were asked for it too often
(the identifying data isn’t ‘invariable’ enough in their cases).

As others have said, magazine promotions. They switched over to paper bags in
2022.
Germans and Poles seem to have the most.

I suspect there are a few sellers who have the hookup to where they buy up all
the unsold magazines (or raid a dumpster/pay a worker where they are being thrown
away) for the minifigs.

They could be buying retail, but I find it hard to believe they are picking up
1000 of the same set by visiting stores and paying retail price.

In the US, LEGO has produced promotional figures that come with DVD/Blu-ray (LEGO
movie, superheroes), and I have recently seen small children's books that
include a minifigure at Dollar General.

Magazines; and they're not cheap (at least not in Canada).

Yep - they appear to be primarily available in Europe for some unknown (I presume
licensing) reason.

Nowadays the foil packs are actually paper though. The mags themselves can be
picked up in most newsagents and supermarkets in the UK for around £5. Themes
include Batman, Star Wars Jurassic World, Ninjago, City etc.

Thanks for the help. That clears it all up!

Hi,

The problem would be a old part number (due to a renaming or a merge)… and there’s
no way to correct that on the website

I think BrickStore could be able to automatically correct your XML file… or at
least it’ll have a simple and easy to use interface to find the correct part.

my package didn’t arrive, and the seller told me to be patient. One month has

ID in the first place.

Open an NSS (Non-Shipping Seller) and, if you paid via PayPal, start a PayPal
case.

I think it's unlikely that you actually got scammed, but the seller is still
responsible for the package getting to the buyer.

We have plenty of magazines with that in France, I believe in complete Europe.
Lots of little City, Star Wars, Ninjago, Legends of Chima, Friends, Elves, Technic...
polybags
It's almost always cheaper to buy the complete magazine instead of just buying
the minifigure here

Two classic solutions - rubbing alcohol and/or hairspray! Seriously. These get
off even most permanent marker stains from pretty much everything (except clothing).

Try eucalyptus oil - it works for the lego paint so should work for other markers.

PS I hope that you can find some eucalyptus oil - its plentiful down under

You could try wd40. I haven’t tested it on Lego elements.

Try some dawn dish soap. Sometimes it doesn't work and I use the edge of
a razor blade to gently debride a thin shaving of the stain. I only do this on
my personal ones, of course, not ones for resale.

Best wishes, have an epic day!

As Nubs is showing you, or the old school method by adding a comma followed by
the desired color ID number onto the part number within the brackets, as I do.

I've been searching everywhere for the answer to this. As is getting more

When one posts a Forum message that includes a Part Macro tag, a problem window
pops up if a color was not specified in the tag. Naturally, the window does not
include instructions as to how to actually do this. That would be so uncharacteristic.

So, what's the format, please?

I've been searching everywhere for the answer to this. As is getting more
and more usual, nothing.

When one posts a Forum message that includes a Part Macro tag, a problem window
pops up if a color was not specified in the tag. Naturally, the window does not
include instructions as to how to actually do this. That would be so uncharacteristic.

So, what's the format, please?

I clearly sense a dropshipping case here.

Is it allowed on bricklink?

I don't like it, only because if a customer has an issue with quality
or packaging for shipping I would like for them to contact me directly. They
could provide photos of anything broken or damaged in route. Perhaps one day
when my store is big enough I will feel more comfortable with drop shipping.

Have an epic day!

If it is shipped outside your own country, you will still have to add customs
info including price.

That fixed it thanks! Weird how that could even occur. I haven't touched
that particular list in a very long time. Thanks for the link!

Cheers

I believe it's allowed, one wishes that buyers would be a bit more honest
though.

But a nothing says a dropshipper couldn't order from bricklink. Besides there
are tons of different reasons to ship to a different address: a gift, item you
were short on, completing a transaction, trades how and shipping to hotel, business
partner, relative that doesn't like the internet, friend that doesn't
want the hassle to setup a bl account.

Yes, to be clear a BrickLink seller can't dropship since BL sellers can only
list what they actually have in inventory (maybe an exception can be made for
inventory mistakes, etc.). But there isn't anything stopping people from
listing on e.g., eBay, and then dropshipping from BL.

Yes exactly this ^

Bricklink doesn't want people selling what they don't have to hand here
because that can create a bad buyer experience. However it will be of little
concern to Bricklink if the buyer is shopping from another platform and the goods
are drop shipping from Bricklink

The only time we step in is if the dropshipper is a professional buyer and starts
giving sellers a hard time about orders that didn't go well. Otherwise, we
tolerate them - because a lot of our sellers appreciate the business.

Yes personally I'm happy to take orders from drop shippers but for my own
sales I prefer to hold the inventory else things can get messy with sourcing
as well as jeopardizing own feedback when relying too heavily on the service
and accuracy of others

Yes, it is allowed. If it is a dropshipper, you may get a nice repeat customer.
Also, just because the buyer's info is different doesn't automatically
make it a dropship. It could be a seller short of parts on an order who wants
you to ship the missing parts directly to their customer.

Okay, I get it, Norwegian Krone Euro conversions have been somewhat wonky for

The conversion rates are just fine. Both listings are correctly converted. To

I see. Interesting

You can't list items you don't own, but that is in the sellers control.
1.2.8 Exact quantity: The quantity of the item that you are listing for sale
must not be greater than the quantity you have physical possession of in the
country in which your BrickLink store is registered. Drop shipping is not permitted.
The only exception to this is a custom fan magazine that has to be pre-ordered
and the Buyer is made aware of this in the item description.

But a nothing says a dropshipper couldn't order from bricklink. Besides there

  Hello,

I'm looking at building up the parts for the UCS Y-Wing (2nd edition, 75181).
I already have set 75172 which is the play scale Y-Wing which I'm looking

Is their a way, without going through it line by line, to part out the pieces
from the playscale set into my UCS wanted list?

Many thanks,

Hi,

To part out a set: hover over the white, heart-shaped “Want” icon and click “Part
Out”: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/partout.page

But you can’t “apply” a Wanted List (or an inventory) to another one on BrickLink,
to remove the parts you already have.  You need to use third-party tools, like
BrickStore (application) or Rebrickable (website).
