Hi, Im in the UK and for my wanted lists I'd like to set a Max price for
each item, but it only shows USD as a currency, is there a way to change this
to GBP?
Thanks in advanced

There is an update on brickpacker.com now confirming Gerrit's passing. Apparently
they did not find anyone who could keep the site going.

Try disconnecting your PayPal and reconnecting it

How do you disconnect it? I tried closing all sessions on my PayPal account and
then log in during checkout, but I still receive this error. I know nothing is
wrong on my side because a friend couldn't place an order either and I've
paid in 3 different places today without any problem.

Have an epic day!

Interac eTransfer doesn't send money via email. It uses the wire transfer
system just like all other payment systems. It's no different than BillPay
in the U.S. or IBAN in Europe, PayPal, Zelle, etc. It just uses the email/phone
number in place of the routing and account numbers.

Great!!! That happened to me not too long ago! Celebrating with you!

Congrats! Don’t forget to celebrate with pizza!!!

Thank you! We may actually celebrate with a foot long at Subway!

There it is! Finally a foodie I can relate to here...

Italian BMT; no lettuce, heavy tomatoes, heavy onions, vinegar on the meat side
and the oil on the veggie side, toasted of course

That sounds good! I might try it the next time I go!

My personal favorite is:
Regular white bread with pepper jack cheese and steak (also toasted). Along with
lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, and a sweet onion sauce. It makes for the perfect
lunch!

I just might give that a try too. Thanks!

I sent them the actual invoice and removed their request to cancel (they had
provided the reason that the buyer and seller had mutually agreed to cancel).

If they communicate with me and really want to cancel then maybe it was all a
misunderstanding. If they don't communicate then I will wait a file a NPB
and see where that goes. Then I can provide feedback that is accurate.

I'm sure if I was "in Hiroshima when it happens" I would NOT ask
you to represent the bomber.

Something's doesn't seem to be coherent in what you wrote.

I'm also pretty sure LEGO isn't interested / doesn't allow
representations of actual war weapons and sceneries.

The concept of promoting peace while representing mass destruction objects is
a VERY complex approach, and I think you're far from this comprehension /
distance which would be required.

I'm 100% sure I'm NOT interested in this "project".

My question concerns the up-to-date rules as applied here to distance
selling with the UK. Not certain about UK cross-border buying protocols, anymore.

~ As seller, will I need to electronically insert proof of taxes-paid into the
customs form (IOSS) in order to avoid the buyer being double taxed?

~ If taxation is applicable to such an order, will taxes be processed within
the order itself, or garnered from the buyer on the receiving end?

Thanks in advance

Help pages notwithstanding, if any UK member would care to offer empirical
input it would be appreciated. Thanks

It's really straightforward

BrickLink will automatically collect the UK VAT (under GBP135).
You will receive an e-mail with the VAT receipt, and can download the PDF from
the order page if not recevied.
Print it and attach it in a transparent document pocket outside.
Fill a normal CN22 or CN23 form.

This. Specifically for UK - this is enough. Your PayPal payment will have a 'Partner
Fee' section for this, which will be forwarded to BL's PP account immediately.
You will have to attach a VAT invoice to the outside of the package - you will
see it on the order page + will receive an email from BL with a .pdf

No need to attach anything electronically to your shipping label.

Thank you, guys!

I'll take both of your inputs as empirical and as an affirmation of the updated
help page. Very helpful. Thanks again

Best regards,

I am not sure a "Parts list" exists for just this build. You would have
to look at instructions for this build and make a parts list yourself.

Using the inventory for this set, the instructions, and a wanted list, you can
add the parts for each step to the wanted list by selecting them from the inventory
of the set. You can then download your wanted list, I believe, though I do not
know how as I have never done it before. Someone here could help with that aspect
though.

Good luck,

I may be mistaken but I think to the UK you don’t need IOSS but rather just printout
the VAT receipt and include it on the package. At the top of the order whenever
taxes (except to the USA) are applied you will have additional options at the
top of the order that let you know what to do. Picture 1 is from a UK order I
had which only prompts me to include the VAT receipt (which I download and print
out on 1 or several shipping labels and apply to the package just like the
normal label) and then in image 2 which went to the Netherlands I needed to also
include IOSS in addition to the receipt.

As for your 2nd question, yes if bricklink collects taxes they are collected
on the order itself just like USA sales tax unless it exceeds some $ amount which
varies by country in which case the buyer is charged it on delivery

Thanks. But this doesn't help to advance my understand beyond what I already
knew, in what to expect from the specific order details presented...

"if bricklink collects" "exceeds some $ amount"
"varies by country"

The effort is always appreciated though. Thanks again

These are specific numbers

Thanks, Jason. But as I highlighted "up-to-date" is what I'm
looking for here.

I don’t think there has been any significant updates to them tho. So that would
make those pages the most up to date for each respective country

Also the uk one says
“This document was last updated on Jan 12, 2024 10:10 by CE_Anastasia”
Which seems pretty up to date

~ If taxation is applicable to such an order, will taxes be processed within
the order itself, or garnered from the buyer on the receiving end?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, sounds sketchy

Unless they can provide a screenshot of the payment, then I wouldn't proceed
with the order & stoplist them just to be safe

I would like to think that all he has to do is refund the money I paid, mark
the order as ready or packed and then he could send a new invoice similar to
how a store would manage an order that paid with an offsite payment where taxes
could not be remitted to Bricklink?

It sounds to me like the seller somehow marked the original order as Not Paid
since a Paid order would not be batched with a 2nd order.

Only way is while NOT using an on site payment method.

Then again, comes the problem of possible avoid taxes
What a mess.

I'd be buyer or seller, I'd cancel the whole and restart from scratch
if possible and not too late.

Recently had a small order where they buyer chose to not pay with instant checkout.

They then sent an email saying that they had sent the payment to me via email.

When I responded that the payment had not come through yet, they requested to
cancel.

I think they were hoping that I didn't check and just shipped it, thinking
it was paid.

Has anyone experience this type of possible scam where they try to get you to
ship something by pretending they have already paid?

Got someone asking to purchase a single part lot with a pre-shipping order value
of 120 USD. I'd like to try and oblige this member, if I can...

Big maybe on that. I thought everything came out of Illinois. Mos Eisley's
were 9+ pounds and came with the GWPs in the same box. The Orient Expresses
were 7+ and came in the "ready to ship" boxes that are custom sized,
but the the GWPs came separate. Where else do they ship from in the US?

I have received Shop At Home orders from Kentucky.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Someone here could help with that aspect
though.

Good luck,

I have been buying on this site for 20 years. Never have I had a problem paying
for an order until now.

My seller sent me an invoice, I paid for the order, the seller contacted me and
told me he forgot to add in the shipping and that he would send another invoice
for that. Knowing the seller could not invoice me for just shipping, I told the
seller to hold on to the order for 1 week and I would place another order so
that they could then invoice me for the shipping for both orders and send them
both together.

To me this seemed like a no-brainer. It gets me a bunch of parts I need and I
get to save on shipping and the seller gets the shipping costs paid.

1 week goes by and I place my second order, the seller sends me an invoice for
the second order, but I think something must have been wrong with it because
when I clicked into the invoice there was a message at the top of it that the
invoice had been updated and it had a "Go" link.

Okay this is new; I have never seen an invoice with a "Go" link before.
I click on the link, and it takes me to another invoice that looks identical
to the first invoice. I read through the invoice, as I always do, make sure it
all looks correct, and go back up to the top to click on the "Pay" button
only there isn't a "Pay" button. I look on my orders page, no "pay"
button next to the order. I look on the order itself, no "Pay" button.

Maybe this new invoice is updated with postage?

The first payment went through just fine as an onsite PayPal transaction. At
this point I would think that my order would automatically default to paid. As
I have never had a store on Bricklink, I do not know how the Bricklink system
works when an order is paid. The seller contacted me after this and explained
that he had forgotten to include the shipping costs and would send an invoice
for them. Knowing that a store cannot send an invoice for an order that has already
been paid for, I sent back a message to the seller with a solution. I would place
another order on the following Monday, and he could then invoice me for that
order and the shipping costs to ship both orders in the same package. He agreed
to this and that following Monday I placed my second order at his store. When
I checked out, the final checkout screen had Batch 1 and Batch 2 on it. Even
though my 1st order had been paid for, both orders were included. He sent me
an invoice that included shipping and a credit for the amount of money I paid
on the first order minus the state taxes. I cannot pay for the order. The seller
has contacted the Help Desk to find a solution.
I would like to think that all he has to do is refund the money I paid, mark
the order as ready or packed and then he could send a new invoice similar to
how a store would manage an order that paid with an offsite payment where taxes
could not be remitted to Bricklink?

I haven't had to order anything online from TLG in a month or two and
placed an order for multiple copies of a set late Monday night. Much to my surprise
they arrived today. But the bigger surprise was that they shipped the GWP's
in separate boxes. Is this a fluke or did they listen to our complaints about
smaller sets getting crushed? Seems like the orders from early February were
all packed in to one box.

I have had several GWP ship separately but it mainly depends on the set you order.
Bigger sets tend to be stored in their own shipping box in the warehouse.

I agree with this statement. I' not sure if it has to do with the location
the sets are shipping from as well or if a specific distribution center has run
out of a set, but I've had it both ways.

Maybe there's a language barrier at play here, but this is not tax fraud.

AIUI:

If the amount paid/pocketed includes the tax:
— The seller is collecting tax money when they aren’t authorized to and have
no way to remit it.  That is tax fraud.
— The buyer is giving the tax money to the seller, who, again, is neither authorized
to collect it nor in any capacity to remit it.  Knowingly or not, that is tax
fraud.

(From what was said, the seller is taking the tax.  So this is the situation
discussed here.)

If the amount paid/pocketed doesn’t include the tax:
— The buyer is not paying the tax they owe.  That is tax evasion, a.k.a tax fraud.
— The seller is helping the buyer not paying the tax.  That’s helping and abetting
tax evasion.  Tax fraud.

Also if your orders are packed Bricklink doesn't add new batches to it. Neither
if it is paid.

Apparently, it does. It has happened at least 5 times in the last year.

I've actually reached out to BL help desk and said that I owe them money
because of this very issue. I explained the entire situation, gave them a detailed
break down of the total dollar amounts involved, all order ID #'s and asked
to be contacted so that the I could pay them what I owe. I've heard nothing
back. I am NOT trying to skirt the rules. I have done everything that I can to
resolve the issue. At some point BrickLink has to take responsibility for their
bugs and actually respond to help requests.

Dein Shop sieht von hier aus offen aus, das hat also schon einmal geklappt. Wenn
Du weitere Versandmoeglichkeiten dazufuegen willst (ins Ausland z.B.), dann musst
Du dazu im Menue von "My Store" auf "Edit Store" klicken, und
dann auf der linken Seite "Shipping". Dort siehst Du Deine Versandoptionen

From what I can tell this is a bug. I've seen more times than I am happy
about and am having a hard time getting it resolved.

For me it has happened when a buyer is local and selects local pick-up. I invoice
them, they pay, they pick up, but the system never registers the payment, their
order then sits permanently at packed with payment as none. Then the next order
they place gets added onto their last 'open order' as a new batch. I
send them an invoice and there is no pay button. My inventory/order system then
tries to subtract their previous order + their new order from my inventory screwing
up my numbers. It's become a whole annoying thing. I currently have 22 orders
sitting as filed that are payment-none and status-packed.

Seems to strange, I have customers that choose Local Pickup, we invoice them
with 0€ shipping cost and they pay normally. Then come to get the order when
we send them a message that it is packed.

Also if your orders are packed Bricklink doesn't add new batches to it. Neither
if it is paid.

Try using the setting to separate Payment Status from Order Status:
https://www.bricklink.com/orderSettings.asp

I've been patiently waiting for the help desk to look into the ticket that
I filed, but have it on my to-do list to send them a second request for help
at the end of the month. It isn't currently happening, but my local buyers
have been busy recently and haven't been placing as many orders.

The only solution we have been able to work out is for me to email my buyer my
direct paypal link and take payment that way, then we can at least move forward
with getting their parts to them.

Onsite PayPal?
The seller assured me it was set correctly.

The seller has not said 1 word to my message of there being no "Pay"
button to use nor how I am supposed to pay for the order.

I did send a second message to the seller 3 hours ago but still have not heard
anything back.

I did check the forum and the seller is not asking any questions regarding this
matter.

Can anyone explain why an invoice would be sent without a pay option?
Does it have to do with something the seller has not checked prior to sending
the invoice?

The 1st order I placed in their store was paid for through invoice and had the
"Pay" button, so I have no idea what has gone wrong this time.

I just got order 25000000 of Bricklink.
Quite a milestone.

I'm surprised 25 million wasn't a big topic of conversation in the forum.
Didn't even know it was coming up. I remember 10 million being a pretty big
deal around here.

  Goodday everyone,

I bought a large amount of Lego. Some are still partially assembled, see the
photos.

Can anyone tell me which set this is from?

I can then look for instructions and make it complete again.

Greetings Henk
