When clicking Buy All on a Wanted List and then clicking Auto-Select, only third-party
stores are listed. The price of a part is often (but not always) cheaper from
LEGO's PaB website than from any third-party store. Also, PaB shipping is
free if the order is at least $35, whereas shipping costs can really add up when
buying from third-party stores. LEGO has owned BL for almost half a decade.
Why is LEGO's PaB website not included among the stores on BL?

(I tried to search for this suggestion in the Forum but didn't find anything)

In my experience, it's rare that PaB is actually cheaper - if it were I'd
definitely be buying parts there and selling them here.

I think it's the default because it's the least expensive for the buyer.

When I opened my store shipping was a weight scale, starting at $3.00 but hat
really only covers First Class postage, which can't be tracked. One package
sent First Class still hasn't arrived to the sller, after 2 weeks.

First Class parcels could be tracked (First Class was replaced by Ground Advantage).
You definitely shouldn't be sending anything as First Class letter mail now.

I changed my shipping options to 2 methods that provide tracking information
- Ground Advantage for $5.95 and Priority which is $9.85.

Problem is buyers are still paying the $3.00 so every shipment I eat a min. of
$2.95. I'm sure it's something I haven't done, don't know how
to do, etc.

It looks like your First Class option is still active - you can't delete
it until all the orders you sent out with it are completed, cancelled, or purged;
but you can disable it.

By the way, please sign up for Pirate Ship so you can avail yourself of commercial
rates for postage. Ground Advantage starts at $3.79 for the commercial rate,
I believe.

Same here. You get, what is it, about 6 weeks to pay it so there really shouldn't
be any excuse to missing it. Especially if going away, paying it before leaving
is sensible. You don't have to remember once you are back.

One feature that might be helpful here is the ability to pre-pay fees.

You can't eliminate VAT - it will be collected either by BrickLink (if the
order is under 150 euro) or by customs in the buyer's country (if the order
is 150 euro or more).

about it however.

#1 I have "Complete" sets, but there're original bricks are scattered
in my LEGO box. is it right/uncouth to sell something as "complete" if
I put the sets back together again from my vast lego box?

Yes, but you have to note in your listing if you don't have the box and/or
instructions.

#2 Is a mini figure still "new" if it has been gently taken care of in
a box of other minis, and never been played with and still shinny and unscratched?

Nope. It's Used.

The next time you go to the supermarket or big box store, make sure you pay an
extra fee based on how many items you bought. Why is it ALWAYS the UK/EU stores
that whine and moan about servicing their customers?

There are plenty of non-European stores with fees for this and that.

Personally, I think fees for buying *more* are a bit odd, but the supermarket
analogy isn't accurate since the customer is typically walking around the
store putting the items into his or her own cart. I guess a service like Instacart
would be the closer analogy.

didn't consider the order completed? Presumably they leave feedback when
they've either received goods and are happy (Order Completed) or they leave
negative/neutral feedback because they are unhappy with the sellers lack of resolve
(Order Completed)

On other platforms like ebay there is no Completed status because feedback alone
defines the orders status and rounds up the overall transaction as complete!

I've definitely had buyers leave feedback before they even received their
orders - rare, but it happens. I don't know if one can do the same on eBay
(it seems one can click the "Leave Feedback" button but I don't know
if the form can be submitted), but in any case, since eBay also tracks orders,
I imagine the order isn't complete until the buyer has received it (I don't
know what happens in cases where the order can't be tracked).

I think if the buyer marks the order as "Received" and then leaves positive
feedback the order should automatically complete. Maybe when the buyer leaves
any kind of feedback? Not sure about that last part.

Thankfully most sellers aren't like this. Yes, you should just be able to

ENFIELD, Conn. - April 1, 2024 - Announcing BrickLink Dating™

After the failure of its Trionicles line, the Lego Group (TLG) decided to throw
its hat into the ring of online dating. "And where better than BrickLink,
our site for new and used Lego™ parts?" asked Susan Williams, head of TLG's
Consumer Services division since 1978. "Prospective dating partners will
have the opportunity to list themselves as 'New' or 'Used'",
corresponding to BrickLink's most general category. Ms. Williams did add,
however, that some of the best-known features of BrickLink will be missing from
BrickLink Dating™. "We have no plans at the moment to implement any sort
of color scheme."

I did this as requested.

Then he opened the "Non-Paying Buyer Alert"

I'm guessing that the seller's reasoning was that he wished to cancel
the order (this helps with inventory and also means that he would not have to
pay fees on the sale) and avoid the possibility of negative feedback from the
buyer (a completed NPB means the buyer cannot leave feedback).

"Invalid Device" sounds like it's related to the one-time pin. If
BrickStore has its own login for API access then it could be that that setting
was turned on (as it was for everyone) and needs to be turned off.

Look at the shadows and highlights.

Hilarious that they're taking images from BL for this

Just seen a few clips from the Star Wars holiday special for the first time.

That has to be one of the worst things ever produced, surprised the Star Wars
idea survived after that disaster.

Did anyone see the whole thing before it was pulled ?

I'm dating myself but I saw it on TV in 1978

You can also watch it on YouTube

  Hello,
I have bought some lego parts, but i believe they might be fake.
The bricks do have 'lego' written on the top of the studs, but on the
back side of the brick there are no 4 or 5 digit part number. Anyone can tell,
if these are real lego (maybe older parts only had the logo)?

Though fake Lego usually doesn’t have logos, pictures would be great

I'm not going to say it's never happened, but I've never seen a fake
with the Lego logo on it, not even pictured.

  You gotta be kidding me!

This is the first time this has happened to me in a lot of orders on here.

I ordered what was supposed to be new Lego pieces.

I received used Lepin or other off-brand pieces. One stud on each piece is indented
where the Lego logo would go.

These people should not be allowed to operate on here. Go sell that junk on
fleabay.

Hi, I found this marbled part on in an unsorted lot and I have a few questions.

1. How would I got about listing this part?

2. What’s a good price for it?

Thanks

  Hi,

I have an order and following a little issue, seller have issued a refund through
BL.
On the order page, there is a refund frame with the amount.

But, as I've paid using paypal outside BL, I guess refund cannot be
done but there is no error reported

The seller has to issue a refund through PayPal, since it was paid offsite I
don't think there is anything BL can do.

seller's account have been debited the
amount and it looks like to have gone into nowhere

I doubt the seller's PayPal account has been debited - for offsite payments
BL only records the refund, it doesn't process any refund.

Hello. I got what I think might be a suspicious email last night at precisely
midnight UK time ( 8pm Bricklink time ).

I didn't open it because I thought it might be a hack attempt, but it was
from Bricklink Team and the title was Attention sellers.

I'm wondering if anyone else received a similar email?

Yes, and there are many signs that it's authentic:

- it comes from blservice@bricklink.com
- it is authenticated with DKIM, SPF, and DMARC
- it doesn't link to a login page
- it doesn't ask for your password

I've never heard of a computer's being hacked simply from opening an
email. It's opening attachments, clicking on links, etc. that can cause issues.

  Hello
I am starting getting paranoid with all those mails we are receiving to identify
our account…🤔.
Could the Bricklink admin / support board please post some information, so we
know what to expect. I cannot believe that support is sending mails with threats
of closing ones account. We have no complains from customers, are paying our
fees … I cannot understand why there should be withhold any customers payments
/ orders? Is that for real?

They don't sound real. Are you being asked to provide login information?
If so then you know they're fake.

I recently sold a set, and the buyer came back saying there are SEVERAL missing
pieces. Those are all LARGE pieces (not real cheap). He also said he checked
inventory against BrickSet (Not BrickLink). I'd like to give the buyer the
benefit of the doubt, but when there are 20 large missing parts (Including a
linear actuator), I'm rather not sure.

It might be helpful to name the set? I don't see how one can troubleshoot
a problem, or even determine whether a problem exists, without this information.

Did you confirm that the BL and Brickset inventories differ?
