LEGO's PaB website than from any third-party store. Also, PaB shipping is
free if the order is at least $35, whereas shipping costs can really add up when
buying from third-party stores. LEGO has owned BL for almost half a decade.
Why is LEGO's PaB website not included among the stores on BL?
(I tried to search for this suggestion in the Forum but didn't find anything)
|
Anyone have the data on what percentage of parts/colors/patterns available on
BrickLink is on the current PAB menu?
|
They now have 15087 lots for sale, but only 14694 in stock. Bestsellers in stock
are 4180 lots.

Also, I think the prices would become much higher if LEGO had to pay enough people
to ship every order as quickly and accurately as a good BL shop does.

Same here. You get, what is it, about 6 weeks to pay it so there really shouldn't
be any excuse to missing it. Especially if going away, paying it before leaving
is sensible. You don't have to remember once you are back.

One feature that might be helpful here is the ability to pre-pay fees.

Many sites have automated billing yes, also they could implement more payment

got 18 of the top one and 22 of the bottom one.
Box item numbers are the same 6425718, but the code below the barcode is different.

124957-322 Bottom
Should a note on the catalog be put? And also I can upload photos of each box

Your status doesn’t matter.
BrickLink has to collect the taxes from the buyers, so the payment can only be
done with an onsite method (Stripe or PayPal Onsite).
If there’s an e-mail or link in the invoice, it may be a way to make the buyers
pay offsite (the buyers could send the money directly to the e-mail, or the link
could be a link to a payment service). BL can’t allow that because that would
be tax fraud.
Remove links and e-mails from your invoices when BrickLink has to collect tax.

Thank you.
|
The sticker sheets I have appear to be a mixture of both volume and weight bound.
The majority of the volume bound ones have dimensions, but not all.
Ideally, these probably all should be volume bound. Or at least the larger ones
that might get creased more easily and/or not fit in a regular bubble mailer.
|
All my orders ship in a box.
I set all my stickers' package type to Weight and that works for me.
When someone changes it to Volume Band (without dimensions) it disables Instant
Checkout, which is annoying.
I'm not sure why someone would that? It should be at store's discretion,
right?
|
Volume bound for any parts with large dimensions makes sense to me, and it should
probably be consistent. Individual items are always at the store's discretion
as you can set them manually to weight or volume bound.
|
For some years now, whenever I add a sticker to my Inventory I set Package Type
manually to Weight, and then when someone change it to Volume Bound it changes
my initial setting.
It shouldn't, should it?

I think it shouldn't, report the behavior here please:

That is only valid when one hasn’t yet checked out. And you can’t click on “check

So, if OP has already checked out, as they seem to say, they can’t update the

the prices can’t change.
(If the seller changed the prices after the click, it’s too late. Too bad for

returned. So if LEGO have relented on their 'no PAB returns' line, presumably
there is some legal reason behind it.

The 'goods made to order' exemption used to be stated on LEGO's website
for Pick a Brick. I'd be highly surprised if it wasn't removed due to
a challenge on right to withdraw.
It's worth noting that right to withdraw only applies to consumers. So if
a seller buys from another seller, distance selling regulations don't apply
in the same way.

Or they just eat the cost of them as returns request could be very very low,
that will help their Customer Service award.

Rather not, Milissa.
There are fairly common scenarios in which a seller might consider setting a
sent order status to “Completed” Just a few…
1) Buyer leaves positive feedback, but doesn’t change the order status from “Shipped”
|
Just file it.
| 2) Buyer messages seller, thanking and/or offering praise of service or product
without changing the status.
|
Just file it.
| 3) Buyer and seller are in communication over an order issue, which concludes
with the buyer expressing to the seller, their complete satisfaction with the
transaction. Here, the seller might not wish to task the already tasked buyer
further, by asking them to change the status and rather takes care it themself.
|
Just file it.
|
There are a good many LEGO fans that simply don’t know, don’t care, or don’t
care to know about order status 'duties’ and just wanna buy LEGO, that’s
it. Which is fine. The changing of order status by the seller simply helps a
vendor clean things up a bit, to stay organized. I does for me anyway.
|
The only order duty a buyer has is to pay. After that is the seller shipping
it and nothing else, as a commerce platform there is no further need to
do anything else.
|
But just an opinion based on my experience as a BL vendor, and very obviously
not that some other sellers.

Catalog." if I try to submit. What am I doing wrong? I've never added

Are you adding the “-1” behind the set number?

Yep, tried it both with and without.

The autocomplete only works for parts seems, just enter the set number and click

Great, thanks for the info ! By the time I move, get a place to live, get my
stuff from Canada (by boat of course so it will take months), it will take at
least a year or two before I will be able to reopen my store.
Thanks for the info about the threshold amount as well. I'll try looking
on Internet to confirm it but so far I haven't found anything.
|
That threshold is for intra-EU sales excluding domestic. So all of EU but Spain.
Otherwise, each EU country has its own thresholds and procedures and statuses.
The domestic VAT threshold can go from €0 to €90,800. AFAICT, Spain’s threshold
is €0. So every professional should get a VAT number in Spain.
Searching “EU VAT thresholds” leads to that page: https://www.vatcalc.com/eu/2023-eu-vat-registration-intrastat-thresholds/
Searching “VAT registration Spain” leads to that page: https://administracion.gob.es/pag_Home/en/Tu-espacio-europeo/derechos-obligaciones/empresas/impuestos/IVA/registro-pago.html
(Note that many EU countries have governmental pages in multiple languages… except
France 🤷♂️)
But as you’ll have been in Spain for many months before opening, you’ll have
time to ask a real local expert
|
Wow amazing!! Thanks a lot. It will be a good start for me. Getting an accountant
is also a very good idea. That’s probably what i will do. I’m so unfamiliar
with all this since i didn’t need to register here in Quebec as i didn’t reach
the threshold.
I’m really looking forward to moving. I spent 15 years in Quebec. It was great
but now it’s time for something else! I want to get back to my roots, probably
spend a bit of time in France while looking for a place to live in Spain. It’sa
good thing i still have my French passport. It will make things easier!
|
A few years ago the threshold to register was if you surpassed the annual minimum
salary amount, nowadays its 15.876€
Good luck on the move, see you under the same sun!
|
Thanks ! I'm so looking forward to moving to Spain. It will most probably
be on La Costa Blanca either Alicante or Valencia. Let me know if you know the
area. We could chat via email.
|
Indeed best places to go! Send me a message via Bricklink and we can chat from
there on.
|
I'm in the process of listing everything that must be done first. So many
things to think about it's almost overwhelming ! The administrative part
will be the most tricky (transferring Canadian and Quebec pension to Spain while
closing everything here and finding a place to live in Spain, etc.).

I notice you still have these item listed in your store with similar high quantities
but slightly different prices so I'm thinking it could be that Bricklink
doesn't like you duplicating such high quantity listings possibly for two
reasons:-
A) If you search for those items by highest quantity you would appear multiple
times at the very top thereby it could be deemed as listing manipulation and
at the detriment to other sellers who also have high quantities of these parts
but end up pushed further down the list
B) Just one of those listings has enough quantity in itself before anyone would
ever need to purchase from your other duplicate listings and therefore Bricklink
may be deeming this listing practice as unnecessary and clogging up the catalog
I have a feeling it may be different if you were listing duplicate times for
much smaller quantities with these varying prices as these will sell out within
a much more reasonable timeframe and have more purpose
I could be wrong but those are the reasons I take from it....
|
He just relisted them and priced using whatever formula they use.
I think what happened here is retaliation from another store in Spain that had
thousands of items like pins and plates 1x1 for 0.40€ each to grow their parts
count from 800.000 to 1.600.000
I know the owner of Brikomania and they sure have that inventory.

The need for a better organization remains as high as ever.

Easiest solution would be to ask the addition of Blue Ocean Co-Brand to all these
sets, all on the back have an imprint mentioning Blue Ocean Entertainment AG
so these appear here:

But on some magazines there were Polybags like in Ninjago and Technic.
Also these are available in Spanish too.

New left shell has part number 5830.
What was the point of introducing a new mold for a perfectly fine part?
|
|
As far as I know, the old version should be cheaper to produce. It has thinner
walls, with the "supports" being there to increase the thickness where
necessary in order to still make contact with studs.
I find it strange that they made a separate ID for this change though; although
they did introduce 3556, basically 3001 with thick walls and no middle supports...
which I guess is also identical to an older edition of 3001 :/ Different times,
different qualifiers for what's a new mold?
As a general trend, they also seem to have moved a lot of parts from 5-digit
IDs to 4-digit recently without any significant changes?
|
I think it is related to the new material they are using to produce the parts
recently.

The description for this part says that it can have either a blocked open stud
or a hollow stud. To me, having one entry for a part that appears to have two
versions is a problem. For sellers, there is no way to list the two variations
separately, and for buyers there is no way to know what version they will be
receiving in an order.
This can be a problem if a buyer needs one version, but receives the other. Please
create a second catalog entry so sellers can differentiate the two versions in
their store listings. I would recommend the following...
3688a - Slope 75 2 x 2 x 2 Quadruple Convex with Blocked Open Stud
3688b - Slope 75 2 x 2 x 2 Quadruple Convex with Hollow Stud
|
Hi there! Are you running a string through the stud? That is the only way the
variant could matter for what you are building
|
This is what I am using the slope for. It's the fighter plane MOC I mentioned
a few days ago. The slope forms the nose and I want to insert the following part
into the tipe to form nose probe of sorts.
* | | 58176 Bar with Light Bulb Cover (Bionicle Barraki Eye) Parts: Bar |
I don't know if the Bionicle Barraki Eye will properly fit in the tip of
the slope if it isn't a hollow stud.
|
Both versions of the part are a Hollow Stud, just that in one the bottom is a
bar from side to side and in the other the bottom is all uniformly plain.
