Thank you, since I'm not very tech savvy, I will go with the second option,
Gremlins.

a two page order from BrickLink.
The order had been filled, and completed 10 days ago.
The computer had been off and on, as had the printer several times since the
initial order.
How is it that something stays in memory for so long and then just presents itself
to the world, or at least my part of the world?

Printing jobs are sent into a queue (= saved somewhere on your disk) before being
sent to the printer.  If the printer doesn’t answer or is interrupted or if the
queue is interrupted or there’s a glitch and it doesn’t know the job was printed
or it forgot it was, it’ll try again later.
It may not try again immediately when the printer is available, something else
may trigger it.

When you add features like:
— multiple printers,
— multiple users / machines,
— pausing,
— auto-retry, etc.,
you also add potentialities for glitches.

Well, that, or it’s gremlins….

Lego are like socks in the washing machine,
they just disappear

Why is it that when a part hits the floor it disappears? It is amazing how many
pieces I have lost when a part hits the floor. Is there any science behind this?
Could I be the only one?

In the future for program questions you would go to https://forum.bricklink.com/
or click the link forum link in the splash page of the app.

This is not a glitch. You have hidden all panels and need to go under view and
click show all panels. If you want to just have that show up when you want a
part you can click tab and it will come up until you go back to the main window.

Hi and welcome

The dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/
(hover over the red Studio icon on every page, then click “Studio Forum”).

There, you should be able to upload a better image.

Here’s the direct link to post in the correct subforum: https://forum.bricklink.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=4

Please, also tell us what’s your operating system (Windows, macOS)?  Its version?
Your hardware?  The version of Studio you’re running?

Also, if that happens with a particular model, it would help if you could attach
it.

Can you also join Studio’s log file?  This file is called Prev_Player.log
and it can be found:
on Windows: C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Stud.io\
on macOS: /Users/{YOUR USERNAME}/.local/share/Stud.io

Notes:
— .local & AppData are hidden (Cmd + Shift + . (period) to see hidden files in
macOS Finder; on Windows, you can search for %localappdata% (with the percent
signs) to directly go to AppData\Local),
— the file is overwritten everytime you start Studio, so get it just after you
have had the problem.

To whom it may concern,

I wanted to check in and see if anyone was interested in a story about the ugly
side of LUGs and Lego communities that are RLUGs and receive perks from Lego.

I was a member of a Texas LUG until in 2022 I was physically attacked at their
convention by someone thinking I was in a place where I wasn't supposed to
be but was asked by another member to volunteer to retrieve something for them
as they had to stay at the location they were at.

Oh

That seems to require some claim filed at the Police, it's not "minor"
especially if you fear for yourself. The more they receive claims, the greater
the chances for them to start to investigate. Of course, I don't know how
it works in your Country, but here we're supposed to contact them.

Take great care of you.
