Awesome to see! Super cool the box is still in good shape!
Also it happens that it should not be over here in Canada! (Look at item notes)

So I sold a set from my personal collection. Been sitting on a shelf for years
and I disassembled and inventoried it before listing.

I hear from the buyer a week after shipping about how the set is horribly damaged
and parts not even fitting together. They are terribly disappointed and want
their money back. I know that not to be the case, but I send a label for return
shipping and will refund once received. It's just a Creator set, so no minifigs
or rare parts to worry about being swapped.

I get the set back, and it's obvious it was never even opened. All parts
in the separate bags I used. I'm pretty sure the box was still sealed with
my packing tape.

I refunded the purchase anyway. Sucks I'm out $25 for the shipping both ways,
but you have this occasionally. Is rather they had just been honest about having
buyer's remorse.

You were not obliged to pay for return shipping. I wouldn't pay it.

I have seen quite the spike in "we did not get our package" things.

To where problems arrised, mainly?

How do you ship? Tracked? Insured? Bad shipper change shipper?

Do you prefer to lose 100% (not exporting) or lose part of it? Did you calculate
this?

Two right now (today). UK and Belgium.

Tracked, arrived but either refused or just lying. Cannot tell yet but I have
two angry contacts. One is saying "they are not stupid and they will not
pay VAT"

Was the order over 135 GBP or did BL collect the VAT (in this case, did you attach
the invoice so that the buyer won't need to pay VAT for the second time?)

the other I have no idea. He may have got it, may have not. He
is all over the place. Either way I am looking to cut off overseas for awhile
to see if that stops this. We are taking hit after hit after hit on the overseas.

One guy refused due to VAT
Another said he did not get his package when the track clearly says it was delivered.

No clue.

We have had around 10 of these in the past 3 months.

out of how many?

Maybe it is time to just go domestic?

Your thoughts?

My single oversea problem: The guy said the package (value $300) was lost, meaning
it was not in the post office indicated on the notice and tracking. He did not
communicate to me. The package got returned (destroyed) and I reply: Why didn't
you contact me on time so I contact the courier. Now there is nothing I can do
because the package is returned and will be destroyed. I cannot request refund
from the courier (a Canadian one) because the tracking says the package was not
collected by reciepant. His answer: no worries. This is not your fault. I just
wanted to inform you. I will request refund from our own post service and I did
not hear back from him as he did not want a refund anyway.

With what courier do you ship?

USPS. I did not count all of the overseas but I am going to guess that in that
time period we shipped around 80 packages overseas. So 10 out of 80. Domestic
200-300 and 0 lost packages.

Have you considered to ship with pirateships.com ? You may get a different result
(if they don't ship with USPS)
