Hello, I just purchased two copies of this set (both with sealed bags). I've been inventorying one of the copies as it sustained some dust intrusion, but I found that some of the inventory quantities don't match up with the catalog.
There appears to be 4 blue 2x4 plates in addition to only 18 red 1x4 bricks. I'm wondering for the latter if the two printed bricks might have been mistaken for non-printed versions.
I can verify in the set with still sealed bags that there are indeed 2x4 blue plates with a picture if necessary.

This set was redesigned to use a different hook base and hook, and it is verified by the instruction books for the two versions of the set. Also, the cars in the regular items section were only included in very early releases of the first version of the set. They were replaced by the cars in the alternate items section in later releases of the first version of the set and the second version of the set.

Instruction Book 1. Step 12. Stickers were not numbered by then. This one slipped through the cracks until you inventory your original set and find the extra white 2x2 tile with clear sticker unlike anything else in the catalog, then compare to original sticker sheet and go back through instructions to prove that you aren't crazy. The official piece count for this set is 44, and this part is included in the inventory from LEGO. However, it is not used in any configuration shown in the instructions.
The same is the case for Kopaka Nuva (8571) but not Onua Nuva (8566) - though the Kopaka set has bigger issues in need of investigation.
