Hi, I found this marbled part on in an unsorted lot and I have a few questions.

1. How would I got about listing this part?

2. What’s a good price for it?

Thanks

I am moving and I am looking for a buyer for my vintage lego set. Several sets
factory sealed. All sets are complete. Most sets were put together, and not
played with.

Hi all.

Just spent some time doing my least favourite task: Adding wheels and wheel assemblies
to inventory. Im wondering if it might be easier to separate all the wheels and
tyres and sell them that waY, as I find all the different combinations so difficult
to work with! What do other sellers do? Is there a better way that I have not
yet thought of?
Many thanks

I had someone reach out asking to ship to Lithuania. I don't have experience
shipping international. The value of the order is $75 plus shipping. My question
is if there are any duties or customs I would be responsible for or if taxes
and such is taken out through bricklink. My understanding is there is like a
4.4% tax.

... it was easily noted and rectified

Something odd while processing an order this morning: All items within the order
that were sold out, had the red zero active-link to stockroomed (zero) inventory
of that item. What you’d normally see when the “Retain items in store inventory
after items are sold out” is activated within store listings.

In all our years operating as a vendor here, we’ve used that feature on a handful
of specific listings only, rarely iow. But every listing within this morning’s
order with zero remaining, linked to a stockroom listing of said item. I knew
straight away what the issue was, that the feature had been activated over all
of our inventory. After processing the order, I simply went into our inventory
management page and reset it.

Really don’t know how the change occurred other than not by us. First off, I’m
hardly on that page anymore. Secondly, as said; we've never used that feature
in that manner before. Maybe last night’s update/maintenance or some other event,
who knows

This interrupts how we utilize the very useful Stockroom feature here on BrickLink.
So yeah, perhaps more salient an issue for us than maybe some other vendors.

Nonetheless, just a heads-up to check yours

Looking through some stores for some stuff when I came across the store known
as Squidwards-Brickstore by member jamesgregurich. As this store had some of
the stuff I was looking for, I made a cart, just in cases I did end up wanting
to get the stuff and left it alone for a few days.
Now comes the strange part.
I entered the cart today to find that there were "No shipping methods available"
for the things in my cart. I was mystified, as my cart had normal things easy
to ship. I tried emptying the cart and putting other things into it only to come
up with the same result.
I then happened to notice this store has been open for a month with a good quantity
and in demand pieces, yet has no feedback, probably because any carts made came
to the same screen as me.
Do some members simply take the shipping methods off their store instead of just
closing it when they want a break?
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here, LOL.

Good morning everyone. I have been an Italian seller for a few years.

But I've never figured out if the amounts I put on individual pieces can
be automatically updated every x time based on the average price.

Thanks to those who will be able to answer me!

I got so many orders that have shipped and delivered, where the customers have
not changed the order status to Received/Completed. Do you folks email them to
make sure they got their package, or just forget about it?

Hi,
I am reopening my store after a few years, and while I was listing inventory
again, I noticed that the listing process is a bit cumbersome. I have lots of
experience in software development now, and I am building a chrome extension
to make listing as fast as possible. Some features I will be including are:

You will navigate in the Bricklink catalog to an item. Click the "Add to
Inventory" link, which will open the extension's popup

The popup will have a single form that will list all the colors available for
the selected catalog item with 6 month average sales prices and an input for
quantity. This will allow you to add all colors of the part all at once.

Once submitted, the item will be added to store inventory in all colors with
a quantity above 0, at the 6 month average sales price.

Later I can add more customizability features.

Bricklink blocks requests from their own address with the CORS policy, so I will
have to build a Proxy api with a database to manage API keys.

Because the proxy makes things more complicated, I think I will use React.js
to build the interface in the popup. I would have a settings page where users
can add/update api keys. this page would be password protected with JWT.

Voice your inputs. I think this would be a welcome feature for sellers to increase
profitability, I am interested if other sellers think the same, or what features
they think would be bennificial.

Noob (and probably silly) question but if I buy a set new, then part it out and
sell it on BL is it ok that the parts won’t be in original packaging? It will
just be individually wrapped and in new condition (never used as it went straight
from the original packaging into a seperate bag).
Thanks!

I know that you can choose not to sell to members with no feedback. I do sell
to new members but I was wondering if anyone has set up a dollar limit on what
a new member can purchase. I have someone asking about a $900 set as a new member
and I feel reluctant to move forward with a purchase that large to someone with
no buyer feedback. What are your thoughts?

I have a Minecraft Llama Village that is unopened that I had intended on gifting
my son, but he recently communicated that he's no longer interested in Minecraft
sets. I would like to find a buyer at close to the original price ($150). I'm
open to offers, including trades. We like Star Wars UCS and City sets. We already
have a LOT of sets, so it'll be hard to find something we don't have,
but I'm open to discussion. I'm located in the US and willing to ship
to US and Canada.

Hi!

I didn't get a response from the help desk, so I'm asking here.

I noticed that I can part together some official sets using 100% new parts. Am
I allowed to list those sets as "new incomplete" if I mention in the
comments that I parted together the set myself using new parts and am missing
box/instructions/stickers? Or are you only allowed to list a set as "new
incomplete" if you only took items out of a NISB set?

If you are not allowed to list it as "new incomplete", could you list
it as "used incomplete" and say in the comments that you parted it together
using new parts and am missing box/instructions/stickers?

Given that:

"Custom sets or instructions may be listed, provided they do not infringe
on any intellectual property rights, including those of the LEGO Group."

I do not believe I could list it as a custom set instead?

Thanks for information and if possible would like clarification from an admin.

I have a question for the Lego community. Have you ever come across a signed
Lego minifigure? This means that he has been signed across the torso or back
by a famous actor or person related to star wars. If you have did you see any
value in collecting it or even buying it and then reselling it? Do you recommend
people to invest in it? I'm trying to see if there is a market for something
like this and there don't seem to be a lot available.

Thanks

Hey guys my older brother is ready to get rid of his legos. We have like every
harry potter set, star wars sets, ships, bionicals, everything and I have no
idea where to start. They are loose sets like 95% complete and we have bins full
of loose bricks that belong to said sets.

Right now someone is offering me $200 for it all and it just seems low. Im on
mobile so its kinda hard to post everything here.

But how should I start?

He went to straight to a PayPal dispute without even talking to me first. Aside
from the fact that I wouldn't even know where to find a fake or how to manufacture
one, why would I start selling fakes of medium-value figs (from the new Dune
set--figures about which no other buyers have complained!), after more than
10 years of selling here?

This is the first time anyone has ever accused me of something like this, so
I wasn't even sure how to respond. I was willing to give him the benefit
of the doubt. I first asked him what it would take to prove the figs were authentic:
no response. I then aksed if he'd be willing to present his case here in
the forum: again, no response. The only thing of substance he ever said was
that the limbs were loose and the quality was poor.

He wanted me to pay to ship the figs back, but I was advised by PayPal that he
should pay to ship them back (who even knows what I'd get back from someone
who is willing to make these kinds of claims). He didn't like this and escalated
the case.

Fortunately, I hadn't thrown out all of the set boxes after parting them
out, so I sent PayPal several high-res pictures of my LEGO store receipts (containing
set number and name), the boxes (to match the set number, name, and figs), a
note containing my name and the PayPal claim number, and a a screen shot of his
order.

Is there anything else I should consider doing? Is there anything else I can
do to protect myself?

He has just over 100 feedback with one negative from an NPB, but his stubbornness
and out-of-the-blue accusation is both galling and suspicious. Perhaps he has
done this with other sellers and no feedback was ever left by either party?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Guys,

I've sold on BL since 2010. I closed my store in early 2022 and just re-opened
last month.

What happened to Invoicing?

I've gotten four orders, all were immediately paid for.

The system auto-calculated shipping, gave me no opportunity for me to add my
handling fee, or any other Invoicing needed.

Is this a result of PayPal Marketplace?

Is this just how it is from now on?

I'd have to raise prices because I'm getting killed on too-low shipping
costs..

Help!

Hi All,

Given another terrible experience with Paypal does anyone use Stripe as the only

I appreciate neither is perfect. Trustpilot rates Paypal as 'bad' and

Sadly I don't really have the time to keep up with the part-out game any
more so I'm wondering if any other UK store (or I guess worldwide if you
want to pay the shipping on 39k parts) would be interested in taking the lot.

Current 6-mo average price is ~£2,750 according to BrickStock and an XE conversion,
and I'd be looking for £1,000 imcluding shipping which is about 64% off the
6-mo average. I also have 8 of your typical 4 x 10 small drawer storage units
that could go as well for a little bit extra.

I feel like normally when I see these posts people are always expecting to get
too much so I hope I'm not too far off base here. Please check out my store,
note that this is only the parts (and the few loose minifigures) and not the
few sets I have listed.

Cheers.

I'm hoping another seller that has faced this issue can point me in the right

So I'm stumped why this buyer is getting this message. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Looking to see if there is anyone potentially interested in working out a deal
for some of my TAB storage system. Take a look at the images and see if something
like this is for you. It is made up of upside down T post that allow bins on
both sides and L post that are for against a wall. I have about 6 L post and
8 or 9 T post with their respective number of bins. A pair of post has 7 rows
and 7 columns, so 49 bins per pair and then each additional post strung is 49.
So if you put all 9 T post in a row and all 6 L post, we are talking potentially
slightly over a 1000 bin system.

Each Bin is 11.5 inches deep, 5.75 inches across and 9 inches tall.

A set up T post pair is 84 inches tall, 44 inches long and 29 inches deep.

A set up L post pair is 84x44x16.5

What you see in the images is my actual store setup. I am selling my extra. I
find them to be useful for the way I use my store. The next step is a color coded
label printer for each bin, then I think my setup will amazing. Feel free to
pm me directly or post a response for any questions or serious inquires.

PS: This stuff is all steel, and EXTREMELY heavy. Probably over a Ton for all
of it, and 300-400 cubic feet, so the further you are from Downeast Maine, the
more of a logistical nightmare this becomes, so this goes out mostly for just
the Northeast USA and depending on the deal, I can help transport this.

Regards,
Henry

Hello fellow BL posters...

I posted an announcement for my February store sale on February 10, and then
again a few days later (to keep it on the first page of postings, where everybody
will see it).

I received a note from a moderator chastising me for the second post, mentioning
that I'd already posted once that month. Is there now a monthly limit to
your sales announcements?

Anyone else have this experience?

I have shipped an order and have checked the tracking number and it says it was
delivered but how do I know when my buyer has changed their status to Completed
and when do I change it to Completed?

I need to offer a 50% refund on one minifigure in an order, do I do that on Bricklink
or on a separate paypal?

Hi, someone (NEW in Bricklink with zero ratings) has buyed from my shop a expensive
Legoset. He send me a delivery adress from Singapur. I awared him that he has
to pay taxes for the package, after that he wrote me another adress from Switzerland.
I wrote him again that also for Switzerland he has to pay taxes, now hi gave
mi another new adress from Italy. It isn't strange? What I should do? Thanks

Just got an order and this is the buyers first purchase so I don’t expect them
to answer messages, but they ordered a part that will not go lettermail but they
chose it anyway. How do I add the extra shipping fee?

When will the March 1st sets be listed on here so we can sell parts of it? The
Star Wars Clone Battle Pack from Jan 1st took quite a few weeks to be listed
if I recall correctly, thanks.

Hello, I have a lego piece and it's from set #60154 and it's a black
door with the "Wheelchair and Green Horizontal Line Pattern Sticker"
but its not the right door its the left door. Whoever placed the sticker put
it on the wrong piece.

My question is, I currently have it listed under the correct part # but just
put in the comments/description that it's the wrong door (part/item #43967
instead of #42819).

Do I keep it the same and have the correct sticker but the wrong door side mentioned?
or do I list it as a plain black door with that sticker # on it?

Any help would be appreciative. I think having the correct sticker matters more,
but if someone isn't paying attention and needs a right instead of left door,
then it may cause and issue. but i'd make sure they know before I even packaged
or accepted the order. I did put a custom picture in my part listing.

I just had someone buy all of a particular part in my store. (It was 1000+ quantity.)
I still had hundreds that I had not put in my store yet. I thought that he
might want to buy more if I had them, so I asked, and he said yes.

I counted them out and added them to my store reserved for that member. I don't
add lots reserved for someone very often, but if memory serves me correctly,
reserving a lot for a member does 2 things:

1. It, of course, reserves the lot for just that one member so that no one else
can buy it. (I think it makes it so that other members can't even see the
lot when shopping my store. Is that right?)
2. It sends that member an email notification that the lot was added and reserved
for them.

After I added the reserved lot, on the My Bricklink page, the link that says
"1 Lot in my store inventory not yet notified" showed up. In theory
sending out a notification should only email the member who I reserved the lot
for, but also in theory he already received a notification when I added the lot
to my store.

Is the ability to send out a notification for a reserved lot sort of a function
that's effectively doubled in the system?

David
