Do you mean your store inventory? You can go to your store and browse by item
type and print those pages, or you can go to "my store" in the top bar,
and select inventory and show all, then print the resulting pages.
But why would you want a paper copy of it all? It would be expensive to print
and a waste of paper.
|
Sometimes a paper copy is the best way to organize things. Checking inventory,
making notes on paper and then afterwards update the inventory in one go.
FYI: Paper is not waste: the cellulose of paper can be recycled and in most developed
countries there are programs to do this.

There's no easy way to do this, especially if you want pictures.
You can download your inventory as an excel file https://www.bricklink.com/invExcel.asp
and work from there. But no pictures.

file to friends, or post your MOC on rebrickable and other places.
I guess they had this idea and then realized it's not worth developping it,
hence the "soon"?

I think you make a good point with this. I actually don't know why I would
want to share a wanted list, ha ha. Maybe only for sets that are not officially
available on BL, such as the sets from the Bricklink Designer Program.
Nevertheless, if you promise a feature, you should deliver on it or see it and
adjust the software accordingly.

it. I shipped the order and the customer recieved it quickly (even sent me an
email thanking me for shipping so quickly). Later I received an email that one
of the parts I sent (a 1x2 slope) was actually a MB brand. I try to make sure
all my used parts are LEGO but sometimes one may slip through. I replied to
them (through gmail) on Jan 29th and refunded them for the part. I thought everyting
was fine. Yesterday I received a neutral feedback stating I never replied or
did anything. You try your best to keep 100% praise then one customer kills it.

What I do in such a case is also offer the buyer the option that I buy the wrong
part for him elsewhere and then send it to him. Or I have it sent directly
to the customer by the store where I buy the part. I admit this is an expensive
option, but most customers like it because it means they don't have to worry
about it anymore.

3626cpb3290...
No mention whatsoever of 10-42.
Since it's not the first time I search for a part by it's LEGO number
without result, I wanted to know what is the right way to do it?
|
Mold numbers are not covered in Bricklink. But when it comes to minifigures this
is my way to go:
Type 3626* (do add he asterisk!) then a space and then try additional words like
grim/smile/ or a colour name. This would reduce the number of items in the search
result.
For all other minifig identification issues I suggest goatleg: http://www.goatleg.com/

| I very much agree with all your critical and, in my opinion, justified comments
about this change. Moreover, you are one of the active inventory contributors,
so your comments have a lot of weight for me.
I can only hope that everything goes well, but I honestly don't have much
confidence in it, given the often poor communication by BL in the past. This
is further aggravated by the well-known spaghetti code, which means BL cannot
achieve much when it comes to automation.
Meanwhile it's a definite thing so we can only keep our fingers crossed.
Personally, I cannot escape the impression that now that TLG is the owner of
Bricklink, this has been pushed through.

| Hello,
Regardless of my thoughts toward losing some valuable variants in our Catalog,
I have now read the message twice, and read most of the main Forum thread, and
I still have no idea how technically this is going to work.
You are going to take two active catalog items, 3747b and 3747a for example,
choose a main Image, choose one Image for each of the color thumbnails, choose
1 Price Guide (or does this merge also), and add a new Note explaining the 2
different versions. Is an experienced Catalog Expert going to do this or someone
else? Will the deleted info be archived in case of errors?
Then, you are going to merge the two items in the Catalog.
Seller shop inventory
Seller's shop items will be merged unless they paste a specific string of
text on the entry ahead of time. If not, they will not get to choose which price
is used or any of the other lot data. They will not be given a log of exactly
what was merged or changed.
It's not as if sellers are already prone to blaming BrickLink for errors
in their inventory. Now BrickLink will be actively changing their store listings.
We have no way of testing if this going to work and no way of flagging or logging
errors created.
Set Inventories
All Set Inventories that have these items will change to just one item. Any sets
that have the parts listed as Alternates will ?? Any Match ID's affected
will ?? Links to Change Requests discussing these items will ??
Everything else
All Wanted Lists that have these items listed will have the parts merged? What
if they are in separate projects? Isn't there an issue with Wanted Lists
already that involves problems with duplicate items?
All external links to one (or both) of the item variants will break or ??
All the people who write related software will have to adjust, rewrite, debug,
and ??
To sum up:
There is a reason it took so long to Mark Items for Deletion and then actually
delete them. It's to avoid all this trouble and uncertainty.
What happens 3 months from now when a seller who's been away reopens his
shop and doesn't understand what happened? You simply cannot count on every
single member receiving, reading, and understanding the email message sent out.
Will they receive any Action Items within BrickLink to understand the changes?
I wonder how much Catalog Credit will just vanish on Feb 15th. Credit for images,
items, inventories, ... all gone.
Thanks,
~Jen

I've read all comments so far.
Question remains: how can a rather new seller list 163 highly desirable sets?
Where do you buy such sets or has this seller accumulated those sets privately
for 10 years and suddenly decided to sell them? I still think this is fishy.

Is there a catalogue admin who knows the story? It must happened somewhere in
2021.
And can we fill up the gap somehow?
For instance with the next variant of the Iron Golem which now counts 4: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=iron%20golem#T=M
Another suggestion is to use min094 for a future variant of Steve (009) or
Alex (017), like when they appear with legs or helmets in a new colour.
|
My understanding is that Catalog numbers are not reusable. If a minifig or part
needed to be deleted for some reason, it is skipped permanently.
~Jen
|
That would be a nightmare for numberphiles like me! However, I always get happy
to receive a response from you since you are a Minecraft aficionado/catalogue
expert.
Nevertheless similar things happened before.
I think that in 2021 randyf decided that Iron Golems should be considered
a minifig and not a mob, so he added it to the catalogue in 2021 as min093. This
also meant that set 21128-1 from 2016 was updated with a new minifig. (I'm
assuming this rather than knowing because there are no detailed change
logs about set inventory changes.)
If you view the list of minecraft minifigs sorted by date you will see that min093
appears in 2016 while the numbering was still in the 040 range.
My question remains: where was 094 used for initially? If it only briefly entered
the catalogue but was sold never then it could be reused. Basically: if one would
be able to search the entire database of Bricklink - a question only the owner
of the database can answer - would it bring up a result for min094?

een tracking nummer. We kregen de laatste weken meerdere klachten van klanten
die mededeelde dat de zending volgens track&trace bezorgd was, hetgeen niet het
geval was.
