My brick turned green! So happy! Thanks to everybody who ordered and left feedback,
you're my heroes! And we had a great streak, 2/3 of customers gave me feedback
in the last months, thanks once again!
Now everybody come shop with me, people, let's get to the red one!
I think pizza was the appropriate thing now, right?

The arches on the right look like light grey to me, not LBG (in the other pictures
the difference is not that visible), is it possible you had some old parts mixed
in?

In Colors, Kraampje43 writes:
  Hi!

I am having a small issue with a customer who claims te have recieved parts with
sun damage

He sent me pictures of what i believe are his own arches (or maybe other arches
out of the same order: i do not know) and the different "sun damaged"
parts picked out of the different lots/items

Since all parts have the same color on the inside and outside i suspect color
variations/inconsistencies from a parted out set (7094)

Trying to resolve the issue with the customer but i am wondering how yall are
handling this, also with the sand green, dark red, pearl gold and other color
inconsistencies, since it also seems to happen in modern new sets

Do you still opload the part?
Do you place a note on seperated lot?
Or ditch the parts in a bulk bin?

Thanks in advance!!!

Had this first image cross my path today, a supposedly non-glittery Avohkii.
It reminded me of a damaged one I had in my sad bin, which had a chunk of its
crest missing its trademark shininess. I had to mess with a bunch of other stripping
chemicals anyway (bonus pic of my shiny new dechromed Light Grey Hau) so I figured
I'd chuck this in some chems and see what happened.

Evapo-Rust was unreactive, unsurprisingly. I only used that because I knew it
could strip galvanisation off screws and I had the ex-chrome Hau to test (also
no reaction). Simple Green concentrate was similarly unreactive, but stripped
the Hau perfectly when used with the ultrasonic cleaner. I did manage to get
a positive reaction with IPA, and was able to get the glitter layer to go tacky.
I scraped off the majority of the central crest with my thumbnail as a proof
of concept sorta thing. I can confirm that it's just a layer over top. There's
a milky white transparent mask underneath. I feel cheated.

I've currently got it sitting overnight in a bath of acetone-based nail polish
remover (hardware store was closed, supermarket was not lmao) and will strip
the glitter 'varnish' off entirely. I'd love to know exactly what
this glitter layer is made of, if anyone has any insight? It might make removing
it a little easier.

The next question here is: what colour actually is this? I was under the impression
117 Glitter Trans-Clear was plastic with embedded glitter, not just a coating.
Would this just be 40 Trans-Clear + shiny varnish?

Cheers
James @ PSPS

Looking forward to reading about the effect of the nail polish remover - I tried
that once to remove stains from a minifig, and it dissolved the plastic altogether,
so I stopped using that...

The bottom one is part 30141, reddish brown.

If you've had them for that long, I'd rather vote for genuine - Lego
parts without logo were a thing in the 20th century, and the really well-made
fakes, barely distinguishable from the originals, seem to me a more recent problem.
But that's just my feeling, would need a more serious Lego historian to put
a verified date to that...

The catalog download page is here: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogDownload.asp

You can download a list of all parts, or you can download the inventory of a
single set, but there is no way to classify these parts as 'used in technic
sets' directly.

With BrickStore it should be possible to compile a list of all technic sets;
once you have that, you can part them all out with one click (ok, maybe two or
three). Haven't tried that though, it might be a strain on memory space to
work with that large a list.

Ideally i don't want to purchase items i already have.

Alternatively, there's a tick box on your store inventory page to search
for "Items on my Wanted List". That includes also the parts in stockrooms;
it doesn't tell you which list they are on though, so it might be useful
to use both options combined...

Thanks!

Dawn soap and water

This has never once worked for me, the only thing that has ever worked is letting
them air out, sometimes for years.

I got a stinky batch some time ago, and tried with dish soap and water, let it
soak over night, then brush with a toothbrush. I was surprised myself, but it
worked. I still have them in a separate box though, kind of waiting for the smell
to return, but so far it seems ok. No idea what exactly did it, or how thoroughly
they were becigaretted before I got them...

  Hello everyone,

I just recently decided to ship Lego internationally. And I wanted to add a cheap
letter mail option for minifigures. In the Netherlands, I can just ship these
minifigures in a bubble envelope and that won't cause any trouble. But I
read online that sending items in an envelope marked as letter mail internationally
is not allowed anymore. It needs to be marked as a small parcel which is significantly
more costly. But I see that some shops still offering letter mail internationally.
So I am confused as to what is possible. I would hate to use the letter mail
option just to get it sent back or held up at customs.

Thanks for reading and feedback in advance,
Dragonrisen

I'd say it depends on your carrier, and possibly your VAT status - I ship
with Austrian post, within the EU there's no problem with letters (though
the "Light package" option is cheaper here, so I use that as the standard
option). Outside of our Promised Continent I couldn't say, the horror stories
about US mail services are legion... ;p

have 3 tiles with these patterns in my possession, and I have no idea which one(s)

me. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for your response!

To me, it looks as if the white edge around the outside is thinner in the "large"
version. That would mean you have

Part No: 4150pb026 Name: Tile, Round 2 x 2 with Black Grid Small Pattern
*
4150pb026 Tile, Round 2 x 2 with Black Grid Small Pattern
Parts: Tile, Round, Decorated

But don't take my word for it, there are more specialized specialists out
there than me.

Also, question to those specialists: Is that really a difference that warrants
a separate catalogue entry?
Greetings,
Patrick

Me too - I really like the color though. And in most cases the discoloring is
really uniform all over the piece, not patchy like the white discoloring. I wonder
if there's a chance to list this as a separate color so they can be traded?
I've considered building something in brittle blue, as I said, I think it's

tec means what on Bricklink is also called 'brittle blue'. It is basically
normal Blue, but changed in color by a degradation process. This is not necessarily
related to UV influence but is similar to the yellowing of white bricks.

The assemblies in the catalogue all start with "BA", which is nowhere
in the rules, but the assembly constant, which is supposed to be "c",
is nowhere to be seen.

The “assemblies” the help page talks about are “composite” parts: like a torso
with arms & hands, where the decor is only on one (sub)part of the assembly,
not a build like a “BA” where the sticker spans over several parts.

And what base number do I use? 3001?

I guess that’s why it’s “BA” and not a part ID.

I think there was also a ban / moratorium on stickered assemblies for a while.
Maybe that’s why they are not in the help page… or a simple oversight?

  Cheers,
Patrick

Is there a good reason why the 1x3x3 doors are in the "Door, Decorated"

soon (hint hint ), when I stumbled over this article on variations of the
falcon knight chest print:

I can't find anything on these variants in the bricklink catalogue, are they
just missing, or has it been discussed and dismissed? I have both beak left and
