Thinking of seeking my 1979 Lego space sets. I have multiple headlines by 928
but also including 918, 894, 891, 305 and more. All have been opened and built,
have instructions for all and a box in good condition for 928. I’m just looking
for some advice about selling them. What’s the best place to do it and what sort
of a price could I expect?

Hi All!

I've found my collection of 2000's era starwars sets that I'm wanting
to sell. Some constructed but still with original boxes & a TON of mini figures.

Could someone give me positive feedback so I can start lighting.

I am in Australia and new to selling, trying to set up my store.
I can't tell if my Store Inventory is displaying USD or AUD as I check and
adjust prices.
I assume it is in USD, is that correct?
Thanks,

Hi guys,
Due to my Ltd company closing I am looking to sell all my inventory in one go.
I know the listed value is around £6000 and the going rate is around 1/3.
It would be supplied with all storage (12 organisers and some boxes) and brickstore
file so ready to go straight into someone else’s shop or collection.
If you are in Glasgow or somewhat local then happy to arrange viewings etc.
Looking for £1800 Ono for everything.
Please send me a message if interested.
Happy to discuss. Best regards, Calum.

I have been going through my old LEGO BIONICLES and have found that some of them
have missing pieces and such. I was curious as to such if it would be worth while
donating or selling them locally (As I live in Australia) in stead of hunting
down the correct pieces to build a complete BIONICLE. I do want to recycle and
not waste these historic figures although made of plastic. I've had good
memories with them but I'd just prefer them to go to some use. I'm open
for other ideas as well.

Set No: 8606 Name: Toa Nuju
*
8606-1 (Inv) Toa Nuju
48 Parts, 2004

TLDR; Is buying spare parts and then selling as whole worth the time?
Is it something to put time and effort into for such a task.

Hi all, a buyer ordered a set and Bricklink is showing the payment as paid but

order if I need to? How should I proceed with this?

Hello all,

I am moving into another occupation and am looking to dump my store inventory
for Castle of Bricks. my store inventory listed value is close to $27,500. There
is 229,856 items in 11,907 lots in 333 categories. Most of it was listed at average
sale price but has not been updated recently. I am looking for offers for the
whole inventory or a large portion of it.

I am located in Tennessee and am willing to deliver within a few hundred miles
if it will be cheaper then shipping it.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Regards,
Josiah

Okay, so I have to ship my first order to the EU since this prepaid VAT system
was put in place.

I have filled out the customs form on the USPS web site, but there doesn't
seem to be any way to provide the IOSS number. I know that it needs to transmitted
electronically.

Surely I can't be the first in the US to encounter this issue? Can any US
based sellers let me know how they provided this information?

TIA,

Over the years we've had our share of let's say 'intriguing'
questions from prospective buyers.

Today's example "How much for all of the Luke’s?" that's it,
nothing further. For context, there are many Luke's listed on BrickLink,
we currently have 10 different Luke's. A brand new member (a few days old)
so they automatically receive an overabundance of understand.

How serious do you or should you, take such inquires though? It actually can
be fun trying pull meaning from the communication of some, to decipher without
asking for clarification, is sort of a challenge

Now curious, how do you sellers typically respond to such messages?

-popsicle

(Full disclosure: I did ask for clarification, without getting a reply)

This set contains 3 sets, however when I parted out 66674, it listed all of the

Is there any way to include those in the inventory of 66674 so they don't
have to be added separately when parting out?

So someone just purchased a minifig and asked to ship "without invoice or
packing slip" which is against how I do business as I always include an invoice
inside the package in case of damage to package or whatnot and the post office/UPS
needs to find the address inside the package. This is the obvious sign of a
drop shipper purchasing off me to fulfill their order to someone else on a different
platform. What are you guys' thoughts on these kind of requests?

I half want to include a biz card with coupon code to entice their customer and
show how much cheaper they can purchase things on bricklink directly. lol.

I'm looking to sell the rest of my store to make room for some of my other
pastimes.
I have around 6k parts in 2700 unique lots. This includes over 100 minifigures.

Please have a look using the store passcode - Lego123
Can provide an xml file to your email if needed.

Looking for around $1,500 including shipping.
(1/2 of the average sales value for the last 6 mo.)

I am only shipping domestically(USA), and will do a sale through a custom BrickLink
post.

Thanks,
Please send any offers my way!

I am admittedly rather new to selling, still in my first year, and I’d like to
ask some of the more experienced sellers this question: I have a complete set
of the ninjago ninjas from Dragons Rising season 1 (I.E. Lloyd, Cole, Arin, Jay,
Nya, Sora, Wyldfyre, Zane, and Kai) all in excellent condition and I am wondering
if you think I would be more likely to sell the individually or as a super lot
or as a custom item with the complete set? And which option would yield the
best profit, if I’m allowed to ask this. In any case thanks very much for your
input.

It seems like there is an increase in sellers listings USED figs as being in
NEW condition, but they put some like “looks new” or “like new” in the comments.
When I’m buying figs for my own collection, I’ll take the time to read the comments
and it’s not a huge deal. As a seller, however, it drives me nuts. When someone
lists a used fig as new, they usually sell it for well under the 6 month average,
which obviously affects what buyers believe is the average cost for actual new
figures. I know what they’re doing goes against BrickLink’s policy, but they
either didn’t get the memo or they don’t care.
As sellers, does this drive you bananas or do you just shrug it off? Do you keep
your new figs listed at a price that maintains a reasonable profit margin, or
do you cut your losses to compete with current average prices?

Dear all, I own a whole bunch of sets dating back to mid 70's onwards. Collection
includes among other 2x 6075-2 Castle (Yellow Castle), 926 Command Center, 7760
Diesel Shunter Locomotive, 374 Fire Station, 924 Space Transporter and 7740 Inter-City
Passenger Train set. I was going to put some sets back together and sell them
separately, but due to the discoloration I'd be busy for weeks and weeks
to have them as acceptable as possible. Unwilling to simply giving it away due
to the content, what's your advise in terms of selling it all? You can see
my collection in Brickeconomy. Kind regards, David

Hello,

All buyers must pay with Paypal and an additional 2.7% fee (Paypal Fee) will
apply.

Curiously, with free shipping, the Paypal fee is split and one part is shown
on the invoice as “Shipping” and the other part as “Additional Fees1”.

As soon as the customer has to pay the shipping costs, the PayPal fee is only
shown as “Additional fees1” on the invoice. Under “Shipping” only the transport
costs are included.

From my understanding, the PayPal fee should always show as “Additional Fees1”.

Do I need to change the settings in my store? And if so, which one?

Greetings,
Andre

Hi there,

I have sent an order with both of us giving each other positive feedback. I have
not been able to mark it as completed (and neither can the buyer) and it's
driving us both bananas.

I have reached out multiple times to Bricklink support but have yet to receive
an answer. I do believe it's because the buyer didn't pay onsite (and
I didn't realize it before now - I received the PayPal notification and off
it went).

I'm more than happy to pay tax, etc. Anyone have any advice? Things I've
tried.

- Cycling through all the statuses allowed and pressing submit after each one
- Separate order payment status from order status (shows as "None" for
the buyer)

Any other ideas?

Thanks all!

Hey guys, i am trying to write some code by myself for a custom application to
synchronize the inventories between brickowl and bricklink.
I am trying to implement it to work like i have my own database as main storage
and synchronize this database with the inventories to both platforms.

i wrote some code to use the xml file upload of bricklink and the inventory bulk
api of brickowl to upload the inventory
but i ran into some problems:

1. i always loose some items, in bricklink there are always missing some items
without throwing an error they were not inserted
2. it takes very long to finish this process because the bulk ednpoint of brickowl
just supports 50 requests per bulk request so this takes for about 26000 lots
about 520 bulk request with 50 requests each. The same for bricklink, the xml
file upload officialy supports about 1000 lots (it works with 2000 too but takes
very long) and the problem with the xml upload, i dont get a proper response
which lot got which id. I need the lot ids of both platforms because if i late
do some updates or deletes for some single lots i need the lot ids to manipulate

Hello, I am curios if anyone sells friends minifigures and if they sell well.
I am thinking of buying a large friends figures lot of 60 figs for $60 and I
just don't know if there is a market for them. Thank you!

Hey fellow Bricklink sellers!

I was wondering if you guys have any tips & tricks for a better shop design.

I'm currently 7 months into this Bricklink adventure and I'm currently
looking to optimize my shop.

Do you guys have any suggestions? Things you learned from selling on here? Expert
tips?

Thanks in advance, I hope we can have a conversation about it!

Kind regards

Hi guys,
I had 2 situations with the same domestic customer.
He have ordered 2 times from my store -
First time we have made agreement for the order, after packing he wanted to cancel
the order. He didn't pay then yet, but the parts were packed. So I needed
to return all parts to the inventory once again.
And second time he made the order again and said that he would like to add more
parts in that order and wanted from me to wait for him with the invoice. A day
later - same thing - he just told me that he needs to cancel order again...

So I have blocked this customer from my store.
My question is this:

I want to give him the negative feedback (just to make sure that other sellers
can see it)
but I am afraid to do that first time because I don't want his negative feedback.

What is the right step here for us sellers?

Happy Holidays!

Thank you!

Dusan

Dear All,

first of all Happy New Year to everyone!

I would like to ask if it is possible to set for example 10% discount for anyone
shopping over 50€? So the price is automatically lowered by 10%. Or is there
any way to do it by hand even when the buyer chooses onsite payment?

Thank you very much,

I am always amused by how many different kinds of people ask on the Forum: I
want to sell here, but I read the rules and would rather not do what they say,
so how can I get around them?

The rules are there to encourage new sellers to learn a bit about how the system
works first and so to protect our buyers here. It also discourages scam stores
from being able to set up quickly and easily.

So, Good Luck! new would-be sellers in setting up a shop, navigating the BrickLink
system, learning how to pack up orders and about the postal system. Placing an
order for a feedback is the least big hoop to jump through I'd say!

I'm moving away to college next summer and trying to sell a good portion
of my Lego sets in order to minimize my collection, and I have no interest in
buying Another set, but Brick link requires me to receive positive feedback before
I do so, how can Avoid having to buy a set, or is there no way to avoid it. The
only sets I want to buy are the Star Wars UCS sets, and they are really expensive,
I would love to use the money from a bunch of the other sets to pay for 1 big
one.
Any Help Appreciated!

Thanks, JC.

Than 1-3 business days? It’s been 3 weeks. Maybe 4. I’m going through a large
amount of bulk lego and placing together a lot of great sets from early 80’s
to mid 00’s and then I have a number of sets I got with their boxes still and
complete. Rather sell here than eBay. Also have random things like in about 2009
I ordered from Lego 10 capes of every color. Come to find out some are worth
$5 each or more. They are brand new. So would love to get my store going.
Although I think this website should allow pictures like eBay. To show just what
shape sets are in.

Good day brick heads.

I have quite a few kilos of bulk used Lego's I've started to sort recently.
My initial plan was to open my own shop and sell that way. But after gathering
more information I decided it would be better to sell in bigger quantities, for
a lower price. Providing a restocking option to other seller's who already
have an established and recognizable shop.

So my question is this. At what price would you consider buying used, in good
condition, sorted and bagged Lego's ?

For example a piece cost's 1$, at what price would you consider buying it
to resell and make a profit, keeping in mind that you will receive the part's
already sorted, bagged and with a list for easy adding to your inventory. So
all you would have to do, is receive the package, restock your inventory and
update your BL shop.
Obviously this has to be beneficial to both parties, and I'm wondering what
the margins are and will this work ?

My second idea was to open a shop with price's lower than the six month's
average but put a minimum order of 50 euro, so I would get low volume of sale's,
but a higher price per order. Because time is limited, and I'm currently
not in a position to fill large amounts of small orders. Not to mention dedicating
and setting up a separate space with drawers and all of the necessities one would
need to run a shop.

Maybe both of those ideas will go hand in hand in the future. For now, I would
love to hear from the community, and the sellers themselves.

Thank you for replying !

Hello

I am fairly new to Bricklink and I am just setting up my store.
Easy enough to add in sets and to break them out for pieces but

Insanely tedious to try and upload all the spare pieces, 10's of thousands.
Takes a while just to find some pieces in the catalog

I'm interested in peoples methods for achieving this?

Thanks for any input.

Cheers

PS. I did a search threw existing forums and couldn't find anything to relevant
to this. Sorry for what is I'm sure a re-post and any direction to another
post where this is dealt with would be appreciated.

New seller here and i'm wondering how to fix the "TBD" announcement
when people want to check out. I already missed a sale from a customer that messaged
me that he wasn't able to pay.

So i've selected multiple shipping methods, and added a payment option and
still it shows "TBD" when trying to checkout? Anyone know what to do
so shipping costs are automatically calculated?

Second question: i just tried to put an order with myself and it seems that it's
not even possible to "proceed to check out" and my shop keeps showing
a red warning sign.

Hello,
we are moving to another place to live and we don't have a place to storage
our Lego shop, we are very sorry to do that, but it seems that we don't have
any other option.

HERE IS A VALUE AND NUMBER OF ITEMS IN OUR STORE:

Total 109,776 items in 12,014 lots in 219 categories.
My store inventory total value (Original Price): EUR 12,904.86
My store inventory total value after sale (Category Average): EUR 8,563.31

We will sell it for 6000 EUR - negotiable.

In addition there is a plenty of bricks, that was'nt added to the shop because
of lack of time. Also we will give huge collection of minifigures from Star Wars
and Harry Potter, we also give one of the first sets with box and instruction
of Star Wars - complete, minifigs of course are part of the collection. (Set
with Obi Wan and Darth Maul)

Please send me a message if you are interested.

Most of the lots in my store must be purchased in bulk of 10 pieces. I received
a message from a buyer stating that he cannot purchase any lot from my store
that contains less than 10 pieces because it mandates that he buys 10 pieces
but there's less than 10 in the lot.

I'm not sure what problem he is having or how to help him, because I receive
orders from buyers who have purchased bulk 10 lots with less than 10 total parts
in the lot without any problem.

Thanks,
Andrew

I have I was just wondering what your thoughts are about the following:

Last 2 days I got 3 orders for shipping relatively small sets to the US. And
the lowest is a set of €4,95 with a total shipping of €25,50 (I am located in
the Netherlands). The other sets were €45 and €25, but all very common sets widely
available in the US. All 3 buyers have 0 feedback and these seem to be the first
orders they have placed. I have already send the first order but it just feels
off. Al payed with Paypall. Can this be a sort of scam/fraud or am I just being
paranoid? 😂

Thanks in advance for the reply😁👍🏻

Is it allowed to upload a custom item, and sell it as a preorder? So customers
can make an order now and reserve a set, and then it will be shipped within a

Hi there fellow sellers! I know many sellers run their BL shops with partners
or family members, but for anyone like me who is running their business solo,
I wonder if anyone else has considered some sort of virtual co-working space?
There are several apps for this purpose - often advertised as a platform for
virtual coworkers, accountability partners, body doubles - which match strangers
who need to do tasks and want some company while they work and/or another person
to help them stay focused.
The apps I’ve looked into have the same basic setup: You schedule a time to login,
you greet your “body double” and share what your goals are for the session, mute
your mic but keep your video on, and reconvene after the allotted time (30,45,60
mins) to debrief and share if you accomplished your goals. Most users on these
apps are doing desk work such as returning emails or studying, or they are doing
housework or exercising. I don’t know how I feel about moving around, packing
orders, and organizing my store while the other person is lifting weights or
writing a thesis. I suppose it doesn’t matter, but I would prefer sharing the
screen with people who “get” what I’m doing.
Anyway, I run my store alone and, while I have no problem getting orders packed,
it does get a little lonely, and admittedly my ADHD steers me off course now
and then. I like the idea of the companionship and accountability the apps I
looked at provide, and I was wondering if anyone would consider trying something
like this out? I think it would be great to have something like the existing
platforms, but instead of having just two sellers, perhaps multiple sellers could
co-work, and there might be a way to type a question and, anyone who has a moment
to answer can join that person on a separate screen to chat without interrupting
sellers who are focused on completing their goals.

Does anyone else have any interest in trying this out?

i'm sure for many people bricklink is simply a hobby, as for me, but the
shops at the top can't be sinking thousands of hours and dollars into something
because it's fun right? i want to know where these colossal stores find their
profit. as a super tiny store, my investment in little ebay listing or lots is
minimal, and any profit tends to come from shipping costs. i'd love to expand,
but with no guarantee of orders, it's a little daunting to invest money into
items that might only be worth $10 more than i get it for. also i only care about
bionicle. lol.

I have a Queen Amidala that is genuine lego on the body but the head is different
than bricklink has listed. I have looked online and it appears the head is made
two different ways? Can I sell here with confidence? (The person I got it from
said it came from a set and stands by authenticity) See picture

I got my first order from China a few days ago and was thoroughly confused by
the address. I sent the buyer a message asking him to clarify and he did so but
sent what looks to me like four street names. I cannot enter them all into my
shipping label creator and I have no idea what to do. The names are arranged
as follows:

Blank No.10, blank, blank, blank district.

please help

I recently purchased some lego from a long time lego seller (local) and included
was a whole bunch of torsos with a variety of different colour arms and hands
(all in about 100ish torsos) mixed in were some

Part No: 973 Name: Torso Plain
*
973 Torso Plain
Parts: Minifigure, Torso {Flat Silver}
and

Part No: 973 Name: Torso Plain
*
973 Torso Plain
Parts: Minifigure, Torso {Olive Green}
which
don't exist in those colours as is. I cant be 100% certain but they don't
seem to have had a print wiped off. i remember a while ago there was a big thing
about some parts in unofficial things like this couldn't be sold as they
were stolen from lego but to the best of my knowledge these are from long before
that was a thing so i wasn't sure if I was allowed to list them on bricklink
or not as many of those listings were taken down and similar
19x Flat Silver torsos
15x Olive Green torsos

Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this question.

Basically I collect minifigures and as a consequence I buy Lego sets where I
do not want to keep the other bits of the set.

I have tried putting items on Ebay but to be honest I have so much to get rid
of and it is not always selling.

Are there Bricklink shops that look to buy bulk but varied Lego pieces?

Thanks for your help.

In the past and again just recently, I've had a buyer pay us through PayPal,
bypassing Bricklink, but I've been able to simply make a few clicks within
Bricklink and viola, the payment is shown to and goes through Bricklink, so that
Bricklink will receive their commission. Please help me with the correct sequence
of keystrokes to make this happen. I thought I read somewhere that the solution
is cancelling the order and then asking the buyer to pay using the Bricklink
invoice system. Thank you for your assistance in making this right by us, the
buyer and Bricklink.

Hi, I am new to bricklink and have just started selling on here. I have added
my inventory but not yet had any interest. I understand I probably need to be
patient but wondered if there was anything I could do to help improve sales?

I would really appreciate any suggestions you good folks have and look forward
to hearing from you.

Thanks
Adam

So I have over almost 1k bricks for now and I have boxes that have rows what
is the best way to store them I use ziplocks for some pieces and sets and minifigures
but not sure if that would be good for bricks taken apart.

Hi All,

Do you also experience a slowdown in your selling Lego. Last year I sold much
more Lego then this year. Can you tell me if you experience the same thing? Do
you know what is going on?

Greetings,

Erik

Dear all,

I recently sold a number of Jester Cap's:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=62537pb03&idColor=1#T=P&C=1

The buyer contacted me after receipt of the parts. Some of the caps have the
letter C printed and some have Lego and part number printed. He is afraid the
parts with the C are not genuine Lego parts.
I am positive these parts are the original thing, I know for sure I have noticed
this C (copyright?) printed in other parts too but how do I convince the buyer?

Any thoughts appreciated!

Peter

I have been running my BL store for many years and now have a huge collection.
Due to a change in my circumstances I need to downscale and I am looking for
someone who is interested in owning their own Bricklink Lego Store by buying
some or all of my collection.
I have around 1,000 sets, many rare and collectible, hundreds of minifigures
and thousands of minifig parts. Many more thousands of spare parts, of which
only about a third is currently listed in my store inventory. loads of instructions
and gear.
Please visit my store - dunksbricksandsets
And message me with any questions

Marvel Advent Calendar 2024 - minifigs hold value or will that taper off?

Looking at Marvel Super Hero 76267 LEGO Advent Calendar - the 7 minifigs have
a value of 42 euro. Would this value be consistent, or taper off next year? I
can get this set for 26 euro at the local toy store.

I checked the Marvel advent calendar for 2021 and the minfigs have a value of
25 euro today. I have never invested in Advent calendars, so I have no idea how
they move in the market.

Thanks
