| Hi guys,
Due to my Ltd company closing I am looking to sell all my inventory in one go.
I know the listed value is around £6000 and the going rate is around 1/3.
It would be supplied with all storage (12 organisers and some boxes) and brickstore
file so ready to go straight into someone else’s shop or collection.
If you are in Glasgow or somewhat local then happy to arrange viewings etc.
Looking for £1800 Ono for everything.
Please send me a message if interested.
Happy to discuss. Best regards, Calum.

| I have been going through my old LEGO BIONICLES and have found that some of them
have missing pieces and such. I was curious as to such if it would be worth while
donating or selling them locally (As I live in Australia) in stead of hunting
down the correct pieces to build a complete BIONICLE. I do want to recycle and
not waste these historic figures although made of plastic. I've had good
memories with them but I'd just prefer them to go to some use. I'm open
for other ideas as well.
TLDR; Is buying spare parts and then selling as whole worth the time?
Is it something to put time and effort into for such a task.

| Over the years we've had our share of let's say 'intriguing'
questions from prospective buyers.
Today's example "How much for all of the Luke’s?" that's it,
nothing further. For context, there are many Luke's listed on BrickLink,
we currently have 10 different Luke's. A brand new member (a few days old)
so they automatically receive an overabundance of understand.
How serious do you or should you, take such inquires though? It actually can
be fun trying pull meaning from the communication of some, to decipher without
asking for clarification, is sort of a challenge
Now curious, how do you sellers typically respond to such messages?

| It seems like there is an increase in sellers listings USED figs as being in
NEW condition, but they put some like “looks new” or “like new” in the comments.
When I’m buying figs for my own collection, I’ll take the time to read the comments
and it’s not a huge deal. As a seller, however, it drives me nuts. When someone
lists a used fig as new, they usually sell it for well under the 6 month average,
which obviously affects what buyers believe is the average cost for actual new
figures. I know what they’re doing goes against BrickLink’s policy, but they
either didn’t get the memo or they don’t care.
As sellers, does this drive you bananas or do you just shrug it off? Do you keep
your new figs listed at a price that maintains a reasonable profit margin, or
do you cut your losses to compete with current average prices?

| Hello,
All buyers must pay with Paypal and an additional 2.7% fee (Paypal Fee) will
apply.
Curiously, with free shipping, the Paypal fee is split and one part is shown
on the invoice as “Shipping” and the other part as “Additional Fees1”.
As soon as the customer has to pay the shipping costs, the PayPal fee is only
shown as “Additional fees1” on the invoice. Under “Shipping” only the transport
costs are included.
From my understanding, the PayPal fee should always show as “Additional Fees1”.
Do I need to change the settings in my store? And if so, which one?
Greetings,
Andre

I have reached out multiple times to Bricklink support but have yet to receive

I didn't realize it before now - I received the PayPal notification and off
it went).
I'm more than happy to pay tax, etc. Anyone have any advice? Things I've

- Cycling through all the statuses allowed and pressing submit after each one
- Separate order payment status from order status (shows as "None" for
the buyer)
Any other ideas?

| Hey guys, i am trying to write some code by myself for a custom application to
synchronize the inventories between brickowl and bricklink.
I am trying to implement it to work like i have my own database as main storage
and synchronize this database with the inventories to both platforms.
i wrote some code to use the xml file upload of bricklink and the inventory bulk
api of brickowl to upload the inventory
but i ran into some problems:
1. i always loose some items, in bricklink there are always missing some items
without throwing an error they were not inserted
2. it takes very long to finish this process because the bulk ednpoint of brickowl
just supports 50 requests per bulk request so this takes for about 26000 lots
about 520 bulk request with 50 requests each. The same for bricklink, the xml
file upload officialy supports about 1000 lots (it works with 2000 too but takes
very long) and the problem with the xml upload, i dont get a proper response
which lot got which id. I need the lot ids of both platforms because if i late
do some updates or deletes for some single lots i need the lot ids to manipulate
them on each platform
I just wonder if some of you know how this could be done in a proper way to work
better and maybe get this working for inserts/updates/deletes
PS: i dont want/can use other Softwares like Bricksync

| Hi guys,
I had 2 situations with the same domestic customer.
He have ordered 2 times from my store -
First time we have made agreement for the order, after packing he wanted to cancel
the order. He didn't pay then yet, but the parts were packed. So I needed
to return all parts to the inventory once again.
And second time he made the order again and said that he would like to add more
parts in that order and wanted from me to wait for him with the invoice. A day
later - same thing - he just told me that he needs to cancel order again...
So I have blocked this customer from my store.
My question is this:
I want to give him the negative feedback (just to make sure that other sellers
can see it)
but I am afraid to do that first time because I don't want his negative feedback.
What is the right step here for us sellers?
Happy Holidays!
Thank you!

| I am always amused by how many different kinds of people ask on the Forum: I
want to sell here, but I read the rules and would rather not do what they say,
so how can I get around them?
The rules are there to encourage new sellers to learn a bit about how the system
works first and so to protect our buyers here. It also discourages scam stores
from being able to set up quickly and easily.
So, Good Luck! new would-be sellers in setting up a shop, navigating the BrickLink
system, learning how to pack up orders and about the postal system. Placing an

I would love to use the money from a bunch of the other sets to pay for 1 big
one.
Any Help Appreciated!

| Than 1-3 business days? It’s been 3 weeks. Maybe 4. I’m going through a large
amount of bulk lego and placing together a lot of great sets from early 80’s
to mid 00’s and then I have a number of sets I got with their boxes still and
complete. Rather sell here than eBay. Also have random things like in about 2009
I ordered from Lego 10 capes of every color. Come to find out some are worth
$5 each or more. They are brand new. So would love to get my store going.
Although I think this website should allow pictures like eBay. To show just what
shape sets are in.

| Good day brick heads.
I have quite a few kilos of bulk used Lego's I've started to sort recently.
My initial plan was to open my own shop and sell that way. But after gathering
more information I decided it would be better to sell in bigger quantities, for
a lower price. Providing a restocking option to other seller's who already
have an established and recognizable shop.
So my question is this. At what price would you consider buying used, in good
condition, sorted and bagged Lego's ?
For example a piece cost's 1$, at what price would you consider buying it
to resell and make a profit, keeping in mind that you will receive the part's
already sorted, bagged and with a list for easy adding to your inventory. So
all you would have to do, is receive the package, restock your inventory and
update your BL shop.
Obviously this has to be beneficial to both parties, and I'm wondering what
the margins are and will this work ?
My second idea was to open a shop with price's lower than the six month's
average but put a minimum order of 50 euro, so I would get low volume of sale's,
but a higher price per order. Because time is limited, and I'm currently
not in a position to fill large amounts of small orders. Not to mention dedicating
and setting up a separate space with drawers and all of the necessities one would
need to run a shop.
Maybe both of those ideas will go hand in hand in the future. For now, I would
love to hear from the community, and the sellers themselves.
Thank you for replying !

I am fairly new to Bricklink and I am just setting up my store.
Easy enough to add in sets and to break them out for pieces but
Insanely tedious to try and upload all the spare pieces, 10's of thousands.
Takes a while just to find some pieces in the catalog
I'm interested in peoples methods for achieving this?
Thanks for any input.
Cheers
PS. I did a search threw existing forums and couldn't find anything to relevant

Total 109,776 items in 12,014 lots in 219 categories.
My store inventory total value (Original Price): EUR 12,904.86
My store inventory total value after sale (Category Average): EUR 8,563.31
We will sell it for 6000 EUR - negotiable.
In addition there is a plenty of bricks, that was'nt added to the shop because
of lack of time. Also we will give huge collection of minifigures from Star Wars
and Harry Potter, we also give one of the first sets with box and instruction
of Star Wars - complete, minifigs of course are part of the collection. (Set
with Obi Wan and Darth Maul)

Author: | MiniRoz | Posted: | Nov 29, 2023 17:15 | Subject: | Virtual Co-working for sellers | Viewed: | 248 times | Topic: | Selling | |
| Hi there fellow sellers! I know many sellers run their BL shops with partners
or family members, but for anyone like me who is running their business solo,
I wonder if anyone else has considered some sort of virtual co-working space?
There are several apps for this purpose - often advertised as a platform for
virtual coworkers, accountability partners, body doubles - which match strangers
who need to do tasks and want some company while they work and/or another person
to help them stay focused.
The apps I’ve looked into have the same basic setup: You schedule a time to login,
you greet your “body double” and share what your goals are for the session, mute
your mic but keep your video on, and reconvene after the allotted time (30,45,60
mins) to debrief and share if you accomplished your goals. Most users on these
apps are doing desk work such as returning emails or studying, or they are doing
housework or exercising. I don’t know how I feel about moving around, packing
orders, and organizing my store while the other person is lifting weights or
writing a thesis. I suppose it doesn’t matter, but I would prefer sharing the
screen with people who “get” what I’m doing.
Anyway, I run my store alone and, while I have no problem getting orders packed,
it does get a little lonely, and admittedly my ADHD steers me off course now
and then. I like the idea of the companionship and accountability the apps I
looked at provide, and I was wondering if anyone would consider trying something
like this out? I think it would be great to have something like the existing
platforms, but instead of having just two sellers, perhaps multiple sellers could
co-work, and there might be a way to type a question and, anyone who has a moment
to answer can join that person on a separate screen to chat without interrupting
sellers who are focused on completing their goals.
Does anyone else have any interest in trying this out?
