But anyway, to bring the topic back to the current BrickLink catalog changes.

If you read my post carefully, you'll notice that I am referring to the diversity
of the BrickLink member base (there's no such thing as the "average
member"; we all come here for different reasons
), not the catalog itself.

The catalog is a mere reflection of the member base.

The current catalog structure, as well as many of the variants in question, date
back to the early days of the site (or at least before I joined), when BrickLink
was just a community of AFOLs.

But BrickLink is more of an ecommerce marketplace now; the majority of current
members have registered since the start of the pandemic:

grandkids Legos for college money.

How are you creating the Wanted List? Regarding the merge you would need to just
update the parts IDs.

Have you tried BrickStore?

So I wonder: what is 'soon' in the perception of Bricklink?

Russell told me they'd fix something "next week" and we're now
3 years and counting 3 years of browsing set inventories that have their parts
listed in totally random order within each category, rather than by the dimensions
of the parts.

BrickLink PLEASE, and only for what's apparent to users of course, have:

* a dated Log announcing what you'll do,

* a timestamped Log of any implemented change.

Please!!!

This is updated a few times a year at least:

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 75879 Name: Scuderia Ferrari SF16-H
*
75879-1 (Inv) Scuderia Ferrari SF16-H
179 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2017

* Change 2 Part Black 4865 Panel 1 x 2 x 1 {match ID 0 to 1}

Comments from Submitter:
I add as alternate but it might be that 4865 was not used in this set, the decorated parts with sticker show the rounded corner too.

Since it is technically a "wiped" piece, unfortunately no. We know it
exists though because of its element number (4161805).

Cheers,
Randy

Can't the image be accepted and stay just here:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp?itemType=P&itemNo=32505&v=2

Part No: 32505 Name: Bionicle Mask Hau
*
32505 Bionicle Mask Hau
Parts: BIONICLE, Kanohi Mask {Light Gray}

There are many unprinted parts in the catalog that are not linked to any set,
aka don't appear in known colors, but the photos stay as they exists.

In Catalog, NoGravitasHere writes:
Had this first image cross my path today, a supposedly non-glittery Avohkii.
It reminded me of a damaged one I had in my sad bin, which had a chunk of its
crest missing its trademark shininess. I had to mess with a bunch of other stripping
chemicals anyway (bonus pic of my shiny new dechromed Light Grey Hau) so I figured
I'd chuck this in some chems and see what happened.

Evapo-Rust was unreactive, unsurprisingly. I only used that because I knew it
could strip galvanisation off screws and I had the ex-chrome Hau to test (also
no reaction). Simple Green concentrate was similarly unreactive, but stripped
the Hau perfectly when used with the ultrasonic cleaner. I did manage to get
a positive reaction with IPA, and was able to get the glitter layer to go tacky.
I scraped off the majority of the central crest with my thumbnail as a proof
of concept sorta thing. I can confirm that it's just a layer over top. There's
a milky white transparent mask underneath. I feel cheated.

I've currently got it sitting overnight in a bath of acetone-based nail polish
remover (hardware store was closed, supermarket was not lmao) and will strip
the glitter 'varnish' off entirely. I'd love to know exactly what
this glitter layer is made of, if anyone has any insight? It might make removing
it a little easier.

The next question here is: what colour actually is this? I was under the impression
117 Glitter Trans-Clear was plastic with embedded glitter, not just a coating.
Would this just be 40 Trans-Clear + shiny varnish?

Cheers
James @ PSPS

Seems to me that all externally hosted splash pages stopped working after a recent

Seems related to the "Content-Security-Policy" header.

Can we expect a fix soon or should I forget about the external splash page and
start designing an in-site splash page?

Seems this is fixed now.

In Help, Ziegelmeister writes:
  In Help, 1001bricks writes:

  Nubs_Select talked about this.

It's a bug I see since the Refund page exists.

When you've input any amount in the "Refund amount Buyer will receive"
field, then using your mouse to scroll either up or down will increase or
decrease the value by increment of 1 (ex: 12.37 = 13.37, 14.37, etc)

Which can also lead to negative numbers.

But a few times I was to validate a refund which in the end was 1 or 3€ more
than what I typed because of this. Of course it's more difficult to notice
if you've a non trivial number like 12.37 which can become 13.37 without
you to notice.

In short, after clicking "Review refund" CAREFULLY double check the amount,
it may have changed since you typed it

Note it's the same in a Shop page, you may type 4, scoll down, and buy 2...

... But... When I tried to replicate this after Nubs mentioned it above, I
scrolled up, down, left, right, expanded, contracted... nothing changed.

To replicate the cursor needs to be in the box of the refunded amount. I just
tried and it changes.

But the larger question is still, did the buyer receive 5x the refund and/or
am I totally shafted on being reimbursed?

As it stands now, no more refunds for a few dollars to anyone regardless of the
reason if I can't be guaranteed I won't "accidentally" refund
25% of their order.

Perfect. Thank you.

Keep in mind the buyer has to approve this. I've never, not once had a buyer
figure out how to do that. Refunding or crediting the part is far less of a headache
for both parties IME.

Crystal

If it is a missing part from my store I try to get it from one of the sets that
I have on the shame pile, larger everyday...

If is the buyer that wants to remove something I explain them how to do the request
using that page, so they change or removed qty as they wish and then I am the
one that have to accept it, and so the parts can be returned to inv automatically.

The description field is missing. This seems to happen for new inventories I

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

I just created a single lot with description and get it after that, no problem,
any specific parameters I should try?

The lot in their store has no description, maybe before it returned the field

  Howdy, Friends at Bricklink!

Currently when I view my Wanted List within a store, it shows me ALL items in
the selected Wanted List, even if I no longer need the item. It would help if
I could filter the view to JUST items I "Need", not all the items and
Need and Have. This would save a whole lot of time and headaches. I have a Wanted
List with over 500 items that I am almost done fulfilling, and it would be easier
and faster to just see if the parts I need are in stock in the store, and not
everything I already have.

Thanks for considering my suggestion.

Bruce

I found the best way is once you found in which store you want to place the order
go to this page:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page

Select the WL you want to apply and filter the stores on the left to show and
select the one you wanted to place the order and it will automatically create
the cart with the correct quantities.

Is there a way to see how many different parts are in your stores inventory?

And to be precise...In this instance I count all colours as 1 part, e.g. if you

Free, open source...

Import your inventory, select all and left click on the color column, then change
all to the same and use the button to consolidate all parts. You can also change
all conditions to the same too if you list both.

  Hi everyone,

is it possible to have, for a wishlist (either on-site or exported) to have the
information about the weight of the various bricks to be added?

Thank you for your help

You can import your Wanted List in the software Brickstore and show the row for
item/total weight.

What BL is lacking is a system for the buyer to make a claim.

BL is the biggest Lego marketplace in the world. Millions and millions of orders.
Owned by Lego. It is beyond belief that they cannot manage this properly.

Biggest marketplace only selling Lego, but sure there are other marketplaces
that sell more Lego than all of us. Total Bricklink yearly orders are 2 to 3
million, for example Amazon ships approximately 1.6 million packages a day.

Ebay or Amazon wouldnt get away with this, never. There would be outrage on a
massive scale.

I've sent a couple of invoices this morning (AU time) and both are missing
'comments from seller', which means buyers aren't getting payment
information.

My first one affected was sent at 19.54 BrickLink time. Anyone else having the
same problem?

Judy

We believe we have fixed this issue. Please let us know if the problem persists.

Working well now, thanks.
