The bottom one is part 30141, reddish brown.

They don't look real to me. However additional photos would be needed to
make a decision.

The trigger loop looks off, the sights are inconsistent, no circle mark underneath

I consider both you and the seller to be victims.
Both of you have been hurt with the negative feedback.

  Hello

I buy some minifigure torsos.
And there notice "crack under the arm" i understand 'arm crack'.

Seller reply : "Very clearly stated in description cracks UNDER arm, not
ON it."

Did I get it wrong?
Other sellers clearly enter the subject
Example : cracked torso (left, right,..) side

It's the first absurd thing I've ever experienced

What do you think about seller notice?

Thanks.

I generally write something similar to this when the torso is cracked, no one
has complained.

I think the that the data is in two parts, one with reference data and two embedded
txt files that are linked to the reference data.

I will try these steps, but this export of data appears to be complex and or
take several steps.

Thanks for the help!

Assuming you want the data in Excel, instead of looking for 'export'
you should look to access and use the data directly. For this you need a way
to connect Excel's query engine to SQLite files, which can be done through
the ODBC driver for SQLite files. There are several of these available on the
web. After having installed this driver, you can use all features of Excel's
Power Query functions, same like you would import the CSV or text files.

ChatGPT gives the following instruction outline:

Microsoft Excel does not have native support for connecting directly to SQLite
databases. However, you can use third-party tools or methods to achieve this
connection. Here's a general approach:

ODBC Driver for SQLite:
You can use an ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) driver to connect Excel
to SQLite. SQLite provides an ODBC driver that you can install and configure
on your system.

SQLite ODBC Driver Installation:
Download and install an SQLite ODBC driver compatible with your operating
system.
Configure the ODBC driver to connect to your SQLite database. This usually
involves specifying the database file path, authentication details, etc.

Excel Data Connection:
Open Excel and go to the "Data" tab.
Select "Get Data" or "Get External Data," depending on
your Excel version.
Choose "From Other Sources" and then select "ODBC."
In the ODBC dialog, choose the DSN (Data Source Name) configured for
your SQLite database.

Querying Data:
After establishing the connection, you can use Excel's Power Query
Editor to write SQL queries or load tables from the SQLite database.
Power Query can be accessed through the "Data" tab, and you can
use the "Advanced Editor" to write custom SQL queries if needed.

“Hello!

To export data from a SQLite file, you can use a tool like DB Browser for SQLite,
which offers a user-friendly interface. Here are the steps to export data:

1. Download and Install DB Browser for SQLite: You can download it from sqlitebrowser.org.
2. Open Your SQLite File:
• Open DB Browser for SQLite.
• Click on ‘Open Database’ and select your SQLite file.
3. Browse and View Data:
• Once the database is open, you can browse the tables and view the data to
ensure you’ve opened the right database.
4. Export Data:
• To export data, go to the ‘File’ menu and select ‘Export’.
• Choose ‘Table(s) as CSV file’.
• Select the tables you want to export and specify where to save the CSV file.
5. Customize Export (Optional):
• You can customize the export settings like field separator, encoding, and
whether to include column names in the first row.
6. Save the Exported File:
• Once you’ve set your preferences, click ‘OK’ to export.
• The data from your SQLite file will be saved in a CSV format, which you can
open with Excel or similar programs.

This process allows you to export your price guide data into a more accessible
format like CSV, which is easier to handle for price analysis.

I hope this helps!”

When I joined BrickLink I was very suspicious that this was a real site that
actually shipped LEGO, I made my first purchases carefully.

When I became a seller I was not sure if I wanted to sell on this site and it
took me a while to get started.

I am pretty cheap and hate unnecessary fees. I doubt I would have paid a dime
to become a seller on BrickLink.

I think you need to unlock it yourself.
You have a green square for buying and selling, this should mean all is ready
to go.
The lock means you need to unlock it on your own ‘my Bricklink’ or whatever it

"Hello, Thank you for the speedy reply. Are you able to price match ETOYS
MACAO? They are charging $23.91 USD plus tax."

Is this a thing? buyers asking for a 50% discount and want me to price match
some other store in a different country? and this is AFTER they clicked on "agree
to purchase" from my store. I also assume shipping from macao would costs
more than the set alone thats why they decided to buy from my store to begin
with since my shipping will be less than $10.

Does this just become a NPB situation then? How would other sellers handle this?

I would just politely respond saying "No, unfortunately we do not offer price
matching" and if they decide they want to cancel instead, I would just go
ahead and oblige the cancel request.

Canceling opens up the possibility of negative feedback.

Consider opening a NPB complaint instead.

How did you get $50,000?

In the last 6 months
87 new sold at $50 = $4,350
177 used sold at $33 = $5,800

At the last 6 month rate every Deadpool sold would have to have been fake for
the last 2.5 years.

A bit hard to tell 100 % but at least four of them have pretty clear LEGO marking.

Usually counterfeit parts do not have the word LEGO marked.

Ask them to preload their paypal account with enough funds and pay with paypal

Mustard is one of the earliest spices on record, appearing in Sanskrit manuscripts
around 3000 BC. It is thought to be one of the first crops to be domesticated,
and mustard was used throughout ancient Egypt, India, and China.

The history of mustard as a condiment dates back thousands of years to the early
Romans, who ground mustard seeds and mixed them with wine to create a paste,
which was probably not very different from the prepared mustard we know today.

Different types of mustard seeds can be—and often are—blended to combine their
different characteristics and make a kind of hybrid mustard.

Among the most popular types of mustard are Pommery (coarse), Dijon (containing
wine or grape juice), English (hot), Chinese (spicy), German (coarse and slightly
sweet), and American (bright yellow and slightly sweet).

My wife always picks relish, but I tend to root for ketchup. I think mustard
is the least popular in the hot dog races.

In this case I would like to point out the presence of the last item, as it has
a completely different code (not following the a-b-c variant sequence) but is,
in fact, almost-the-same reference for many uses.

I'm aware that it is very important to keep separated all the different mold

handy for many users that just want to build without worrying too much about

Thanks again for your attention

This is a little messy, but you can sort the results by item number.

  Hello,
I hope this is not a repetition of an already-posted proposal: in that case,
I'm sorry!

My idea came while searching for some pieces which have different mold variants
and that, correctly, are listed with a different code and page for each variant:
sometimes, however, some colours are available just for one or another mold,
or very rare for some of the different versions, while being the variants almost
indistinguishable, so it may happen that one user could be interested in all
mold variants AS IF they were of just one type, with the colour and quantity
availability grouped "as a whole".

While searching for pieces available in the stores, for example, there could
be a "MOLD VARIANTS" checkbox to allow the user, only if desired, to
look for all the pieces/colours inside that "group of mold variants".

A possible "group of mold variants" for "Bar 1L with Clip Mechanical
Claw" would include, for example:
- https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=48729a#T=P
- https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=48729b#T=P
I've included the "undetermined type" too, as it includes all the
entries NOT considered in the other pages.

Thank you very much for your consideration,
have a great day

I've used cereal boxes for years without issue.

I reuse many things but avoid anything used with food. You never know what food

My shipping method for these isn't pretty, but it is effective.

I ship them in a very large bubble mailer (usually two large ones taped together)
and cardboard folded up around the sides to create rigid box like structure.

I made a purchase from a seller for 240$ USD. He sends me a message saying PayPal
took 20 dollars as a small business fee and that another 20 dollars was taken
for some kind of insurance that he could not specify. Now the seller is asking
that I send 20 dollars to cover the shipping because PayPal took the money.

My question is shouldn’t that have been listed in additional fees on the order
page? OR shouldn’t his store be quote orders only so he can calculate how much
money he will need before accepting the order? Am I in the wrong here? I’m just
not comfortable sending over more money for something that was not previously
discussed prior to purchase. What can I do about this?

PayPal TOS states that a seller cannot charge the fees to the buyer.

BrickLink TOS states that all the fees must be stated upfront.

I wouldn't pay the fees and would consider reporting the buyer to both PayPal
and BrickLink if he seller continues the demands for additional money.

You can file a PayPal claim if necessary to recover your payment.

I want to give international buyers the ability to order from my store through
manual invoicing to handle the shipping. I also don't mind it if buyers don't
like the shipping cost and want to back out.

I would like, however, to be able to charge a small fee if they back out and
have a large order so that I'm not completely wasting my time packing hundreds
or thousands of lots of numerous small pieces.

If it's not acceptable or allowed, then I suppose I can handle the potential
loss in time and effort in exchange for the potential gain in sales. I thought
I'd ask anyway though.

Restocking fees are generally assessed at the time of the refund/return of items.
If the buyer never pays, you can't keep a restocking fee. It is unlikely
they will pay a restocking fee.

Shipping internationally from the USA is generally easy, as long as your packages
are not more than 1728 sq inches in total (or one cubic foot, 12x12x12). If
the package is under 1 cubic foot, the shipping cost is based on weight. You
should be able to reasonably determine the price of shipping based on the weight
of the items in the buyers cart.

When estimating the weight, be sure to add plenty of weight for the box and packaging
materials.

I'm not so worried about a buyer having bad feedback, your feedback response
explains your situation.

I'm am worried about the neutral you left for a different seller when the
seller according to your feedback fixed the situation. Sellers handle thousands
of tiny plastic parts, mistakes happen, if the seller corrects the mistake, don't
punish them with neutral feedback.

It had the correct weight and size. It weighed less than an ounce and was sent

Yes, had it happened to me a couple of times. Flat envelopes with tracking number
are required to be sent priority mail not first class/ground select.

To avoid this add wadded up paper or other bulky filler into the envelope to
make the envelope not flat.

there isn't a service called 'Ground Select' .. it's called Ground
Advatage, it replaced the post offices former Parcel Post service, and yes you
can mail flat envelopes out as Ground Advantage with tracking #'s. they will
not automatically get deemed Priority as long as they are under the new 16oz
weight requirement.
ask the post office

I went to USPS and used the postage calculator.

Selected these parameters:
Used zip codes 90210 and 12345
Calculate price based on shape and size
0 Pounds 1 OZ
Large Envelope
"None of the following" for large envelope properties (not rigid, rectangular,
no thickness variation)
The only options are Priority Mail, First Class Mail, Media Mail

If you change the envelope properties to have variations in thickness, USPS Ground
Advantage appears as an option.

For me, selling used parts requires that pieces to be individually bagged. It
is too difficult to figure out later which parts are great, good, light play

up in my shipping method. I had flat-rate shipping everywhere but shipping to
other countries becomes far more expensive when it weighs more than 8 oz so I
decided to set up a weight band. Here is what it looks like (see photo). What
I'm wondering is: what if someone in another country buys more than 20 oz?
And: would this make U.S. shipping still a flat-rate of $4.50?
Thanks for the help!

Weights above the weight band listed would default to manual invoice. Therefore
in this situation, any order larger than 20oz will cause a manual invoice.

Are you doing a package adjustment?
If no, suggestion, set the weight to 5oz instead of 8oz. If someone purchases
7.5oz of LEGO from you the shipping container will force the weight over 8oz
and you are paying the next tiered rate.

I should do about this. I am new to being a seller within the last 4 months and
strive to make sure every order is properly taken care of. I have 62 positive
reviews but one neutral today came in that doesn't make much sense to me.
They wrote, "Came in great, no communication though.". I sent this package
same day, changed the status to shipped immediately, and the buyer received it
fine within a few days of placing the order. I really want to keep reviews positive,
is there something I could have done differently, I never received any messages
or emails from the buyer, any advice would be appreciated, Thank you!

1. Respond to the feedback thanking them for the order
2. Start sending drive thru's to customers letting them know it shipped
3. Let the buyer know how it affects your feedback (peacefully)

However the need to register for packing recycling in Germany was the initial
reason I questioned European sales, a policy I expect the rest of the E.U. will
adopt eventually.

Last I checked this only applied to entities registered as a corporation. Does
this apply to individuals?

I believe the smaller instruction you have does match the catalog. The picture
in the catalog was cropped to take out the white border.

I agree, the smaller image seems to match, but based on the item number the larger
image was probably produced immediately after the smaller image and were released
at the same time.

Both versions have a map on the back of the instructions. The picture in the
catalog matches neither instruction. The larger version has an advertisement
box in the upper middle saying "www.LEGO.com" "Join the Fun"
box, and the smaller version has a white border. Neither version match the picture

The current catalog image was likely copied from the official digital version
of the instructions, which does not seem to be available anymore from LEGO.com,
but can still be seen here:
http://www.peeron.com/scans/6720-1/

If you can provide scans or good photographs (maybe with less light refections
than in your first image) of the physical instructions, please upload them here:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogImageAdd.page?itemType=I

We can add multiple instructions images, but please don't upload a second
image before the first image has been approved, otherwise the first image will
be overwritten.

I can use a copy machine to make good pictures. Which version is the offical
instructions (or are both). I need to know which version you want me to upload
for the catalog photo. I can do both versions, with the back if requested.

Javi

Seller should stop at shipped.

The buyer should mark at received or completed.

Did the seller state a weight for the LEGO being sold? If so compare the weight
of the postage versus the weight advertised. Generally the weight on the postage
will be accurate plus the box weight.

If the seller said 10 pounds of LEGO in the listing and the postage says 7 pounds,
you have your answer.

There doesn't appear to be a good category for single decorated cardboard

Heat will straighten them out. I used heat to straighten large plates 6-7 years
ago. I cannot remember the exact setting, but it was something as follows:

Set your oven to a low temp of 200
Place items in oven for a short time period, start with 1 minute.
Pull them out of the oven and test their temperature.
Continue to put into oven until they are warm enough.
Once they get warm enough the bends will fall out.

Over cooking will ruin the clutch on the studs so be careful.

65803 Technic, Brick 16 x 16 x 1 1/3 with Holes
Parts: Technic, Brick

For some time ...

I build a lot of Classic Space(stations) and since having moved away from baseplates
I use a combination of platelayer + bricklayer + platelayer to create my own
"baseplates" with Technic holes at the ends to make a modular setup

These 16x16 thingies, mostly used in mosaic sets, are pretty close to that so
I've bought some for testing

Since they're invisible (I will put a layer of tan plates on top so the colour
doesn't matter to me), I've bought five new ones in lavender (cheapest
colour)

But they're all very clearly warped!

All five in the same maner

Is this a known problem with this part?

Now, I haven't build anything with them yet so they may straighten out with
some weight on the top?

Cheers,

Ole

1) Yes contact seller, I didn't realize there was a difference. I would
want to know that difference.

2) The picture with the white and green brick are not clear which is which.
They should be labeled.

In General, pcthurman writes:
I recently made a purchase that was to include a

Part No: 4204 Name: Brick 8 x 16
*
4204 Brick 8 x 16
Parts: Brick
with an alternate number
44041. I had contacted the seller to find out if they could check if they had
that particular alternate numbered item.

Here is their reply.
"I took a look at the part, the one I have in inventory doe have the reinforcement
interconnecting the edges to the stud holes. It looks like 44041 and 4204 are
actually the same part, and Lego made a transition from 44041 to 4204 starting
around 2002, without really changing the piece itself. Hope this helps you."

It was nice of them to give me that information and at first it does sound like
they have the alternate. SO, in my excitement I placed a nice order including
the brick.

When the order arrived, the brick was indeed

Part No: 4204 Name: Brick 8 x 16
*
4204 Brick 8 x 16
Parts: Brick
and not the 44041 alternate.

I did contact the seller and let them know about the issue but told him that
the fault was on me because I did not contact him before ordering to make sure
that the verbiage being used was understood on both sides. I also told him I
did not want a refund as I will be able to use the brick later this year.

I also asked the seller to look at the 3rd picture for

Part No: 4204 Name: Brick 8 x 16
*
4204 Brick 8 x 16
Parts: Brick
and notice how
the white brick has the ribs reinforcing the bottom on the alternate part 44041
as opposed to the original part green brick 4204.

Sorry, that was a bit long winded. On to my question.

Do you think it is okay for a buyer to "educate" (for lack of a better
word) a seller on part variations or should a buyer just let it slide?

I am torn because some part variations really do not have any different functionality
like the above 8x16 brick while some parts like

Part No: 6005 Name: Arch 1 x 3 x 2 Curved Top
*
6005 Arch 1 x 3 x 2 Curved Top
Parts: Arch
and it's alternate
92903 have a slight curve difference and can make an aesthetic difference especially
if using both variations on the same model.

I would appreciate all opinions.

  Hello,

I've been working for a few days on creating sculptures with Stud.io by importing
3D files. In the settings for sculpture building, you can specify the size of
the sculpture, and from which bricks it should be built.

If I choose the combination 1x2, 1x3 and 2x4, Studio builds the sculpture only
from the 3 single-row part types (1x1 is added automatically) and thus uses an
infinite number of parts. The 2x4 bricks do not appear at all in the finished
model.
If I select all parts, namely 1x2 to 1x8 and 2x2 to 2x8, all parts are used,
even if it does not make sense.

I had also once exclusively 2x4 selected, but then the program calculates itself
dead and builds then nevertheless everything from small single-row stones.

Does anyone know advice? Have you ever had this problem?

Marion
