| I was wanting to do a WiC style collab group for my new theme ,Cyberspace, here
on Bricklink, without having to start that group on another platform such as
Flickr or Instagram. Maybe there could be a new feature on the gallery where
you could make groups with other designers to work on a common theme or interest.
The groups could have their own coordinators or mini-admin to accept designers
into the group and make sure all builds are of good quality. It would really
make the gallery more interesting, and could go on to be the roots of new community.

| Hello,
I'm not sure whether the product managers within Bricklink review these forums
for suggestions, or if I'm just speaking into to void, but a simple change
I would appreciate is the ability to change the default payment method.
In my country, and I believe this is true in other countries as well, PayPal
is about 1% more expensive than Stripe.
Giving sellers control over the default payment method would allow buyers with
a preference to continue using the payment method they prefer, while also allowing
sellers to use the lowest cost payment processor for buyers without a preference.
I believe the aggregate savings across the marketplace could be quite substantial.
Thanks

| I use bricklink to part out sets I buy and those found in bulk purchases. It
would be great if I could organize wanted lists together instead of having one
giant list.
Having sets bought together grouped together would be great and would make purchasing
the missing pieces from all of them at once easier. There could even be an easy
buy option for each entire folder so you can purchase all your missing pieces
from the multiple wanted lists in that folder.
I love the ease I can find what each of my sets is missing but as I have dozens
of active sets I'm restoring the entire wanted list is a cluttered mess.
Let me organize them and sort them into folders, please.

| As a new user, one thing that's somewhat confused me are the brick levels.
While more frequent users of the website may be able to easily remember what
color corresponds to what tier (as seen at https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=54),
new users will likely not.
My suggestion is to add an on hover to brick images which contains the numerical
tier of the brick, similar to what I did here: https://imgur.com/a/NJ0FCDg using
inspect element. Doing such wouldn't be difficult, as all it involves is
adding a `title="Number here"` to the img element that displays the brick.

| Hi,
when creating carts, there is the function to see what `wanted list` the items
are from on each cart.
Would it be possible to transfer this to the order list once the order has been
created.
I order for a few wanted list kits at a time, so what I`m having to do at the
moment, is print out the order, and then make notes against each item, which
wanted list its for.
It would be nice if the wanted list info was carried across from the `create
carts` creen, into the cart when created - and on the order too.

| I often search for parts for minifigures. Something I think would be extremely
beneficial and make searching a lot simpler and quicker would be the option to
exclude something.
For example, if I'm looking for a female head, but I know I don't want
lipstick, it would be cool if I could exclude all search results that include
"lipstick". Or when I'm looking for a male part (which often aren't
marked as such), being able to exclude "female" would reduce the amount
of search results I have to scroll past.

| Shipping is relatively expensive in my country and many of us prefer to buy and
sell locally, a majority offering local pickup. (Quicker and safer.) It would
be a big time saver if the state code (2-3 characters) could be added wherever
the country location name appears, especially in search results for parts. Or
just adjacent to every store name. (A toggleable setting perhaps?) Or just
a mouseover? At the moment I have to open every store name link to see whether
it's in my state or not.
A symbol denoting whether the store offers local pickup would be icing on the
cake.
Do I need to provide more use case details?

| Hi all
I just had yet another case, with a first time buyer, who did not understand
nor know how to to complete an order and file feedback.
Nor do they know that they have to do anything except receiving the item.
I also have some users which do not care.
Some complain, that as firs time buyers, they would like an email on the first
order, how to act, what to do and what to click. Some literally need illustrative
pictures
Even that once selected "completed", it is needed to click "save"
They state:
Quote: "A separate email about doing the status change straight from BrickLink
would be great. No one generally wants to read help pages or has time to learn
about something you usually don’t have to do when ordering things."
And
Quote: "Since we haven’t order from here before and the site isn’t exactly
user friendly we didn’t know the case had to be completed by us. The link you
sent only had instructions on giving feedback, not changing a status. It’s completed
now. Maybe you can include the info that the status has to be changed by the
receiver straight into the message if it’s compulsory and not optional."
I think that BL is user friendly, but not everyone sees it this way. Btw this
is a UX designer who sent this
In quite some cases I never get to know that buyers ever have received their
items.
Would it be possible, that on first order, that BL sends some information to
buyers what to do - in detail?

would be a useful feature for everyone.

| Gonna express this here under suggestions, for lack of a better topic to use.
But no need to vote or take too serious Just looking for candid feedback on
the idea of rebranding the sometimes divisive feature
As the Stop List is a unidirectionally action, I thought a more descriptive term
for the outdated and sometimes confusing phrase, could easily replace it. Some
other descriptor that would serve both buyer and seller better.
Decline Service List, Refuse Service List, Excluded from Service, Service
Exclusion List, or whatever you might come up with other than just “stop”
Just today’s over caffeinated thinking, and frankly not all that important. I
mean, ambiguous as stop sometimes comes across to the uninitiated here, the phrase
has been around a long time. There’s that to consider, but on the other hand
“don’t stop improving” is a good mantra and attitude to maintain.

| It would be awesome to filter the color palette by year to see what colors were

Would also really help in trying to collect particular eras of lego.

| The catalog has long had the feature to see the parts intrdocued each year. What
is not available, however, is viewing all the parts in the palette for a given
year. Currently most parts have the year they were introduced and retired, but
the latter half of that data is not viewable in a list format as far as I can
tell. Being able to view the "active" catalog for each year would be
a great feature to browse Lego history.
This could also be extended to the other broad categories in the catalog, but
not sure the year data is as robust on those to be easily done.
A more complex version of this suggestion is that the active catalog view for
a given year should only include those parts appearing in sets for sale. Right
now it seems like the year data only accounts for the first and last appearance
of a part and not when it was truly active. But sets right now only have an introduced
date and do not have a retired date so it may be hard to figure out what was
actively for sale in a given year.
It would also be great to get as granular as the mold variation available, but
that is probably rather difficult with all the slight variations contained in
the same listing.

This payment method is long been the favorite for the majority in the Netherlands.
Currently there seems to be a limitation in Stripe to add this payment method
to instant checkout.
I did search on other topics related to this : but beside one I placed in the
wrong section;
the other topics are quite old.
So please do consider this small change in the stripe platform , it will be of
great benefit for all Dutch sellers and buyers a like.
It's a very safe , trusted, and recognizable payment platform that I'm
positive will also help with onsite instant checkouts (tax collection).

| I was wondering if the implementation of a search for stores that are nearby
is on the work bench?
I often hear of people around my city that would buy Lego parts, but don't
want to order them via mail.
Bricklink can be overwhelming for a mom who shops to replace parts the vacuum
cleaner ate!
Sometimes it's a few parts, then they become regulars.
They can pick them up at my door. Pay in cash. Easy-peasy.
I've had people that ordered and dropped by on their weekend trip too. Combining
fun and fun!
I also receive regular messages asking where I'm located (even if it's
stated in my top banner and store policies...)
I guess that search by province/state is OK... but a more precise way would be
better.
It could be on a voluntary basis... I guess some sellers don't want people
showing up at their door and that's ok. Could be a checkbox thing in the
store setting page.

| I'm using a lot the functionnality of buying from wanted list and explore

But one information is missing along the process : when looking on what such
seller has among the items I want, I cannot see wether he puts any comment on
the condition of his items ! I'm totally blind ! So when browsing the results
with prices, I have no way to see if a part is cheap because really used or even
damaged...
The only way to see the comments is to systematically open another tab for each
seller, explore my wanted list through his store to see if there's any comments...
So totally manually...
As maybe not everyone would be interested by this information (especially if
buying New parts), that could be an option to tick, to display or not the comments
on the seller detail popup.

| Hello,
I hope this is not a repetition of an already-posted proposal: in that case,
I'm sorry!
My idea came while searching for some pieces which have different mold variants
and that, correctly, are listed with a different code and page for each variant:
sometimes, however, some colours are available just for one or another mold,
or very rare for some of the different versions, while being the variants almost
indistinguishable, so it may happen that one user could be interested in all
mold variants AS IF they were of just one type, with the colour and quantity
availability grouped "as a whole".
While searching for pieces available in the stores, for example, there could
be a "MOLD VARIANTS" checkbox to allow the user, only if desired, to
look for all the pieces/colours inside that "group of mold variants".
A possible "group of mold variants" for "Bar 1L with Clip Mechanical
Claw" would include, for example:
- https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=48729a#T=P
- https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=48729b#T=P
I've included the "undetermined type" too, as it includes all the
entries NOT considered in the other pages.
Thank you very much for your consideration,
have a great day
Giorgio

item the X must be clicked to close it, and is the only way to close it.
Could the items be closed by also using the Escape key to make it easier to look
at items quickly?
Thank you

| Formely I copy/pasted adresses, but for some years now I have to fill in an online
formular to ship abroad.
But addresses are unclear in some cases, especiallaly from South Korean and Chinese
customers.
So I often have to ask what-is-what, sometime building names, room numbers, steet
names and numbers come in one line - too long anyway to put in the formular and
in many cases impossible to untie.
This often gives a lot of extra communication and delays. The english language
or let me say my english language- is not allways understood.
It will also cause improper addressings.
So what I suggest is making a fixed format for addresses according to the standards
postal administrations use for their online fomulars.
So a line for street, a field for streetnumber, a line for building name, city,
provibce/region etc.
This would make it much easier to ship, avoid a lot of communication and delays.
regards
Erik

| A seller has the right to stoplist any buyer. It has a consequence to the autoselect
function when sekin to buy items on your want list as this function may suggest
this seller in your autoselect list. May I suggest a function for the buyer to
exclude individual sellers so that the autoselect does not consider such sellers

| This is a suggestion to add a new order status 'Mutable'.
Mutable would be a status immediately after the order is submitted, and would
exist for a period of time as defined by the seller. During that time, the items
have been reserved for the customer, may not be purchased by another customer,
and the IC payment has been authorized, but not captured.
When an order is in the Mutable status, the customer may add to the order, remove
items from the order, cancel the order, or confirm they are done. Once the order
transitions from Mutable, the authorized payment is captured (with an amount
reflecting the final order contents plus applicable shipping and taxes). If the
customer decides to cancel, then the payment authorization is canceled without
a capture.
This suggestion would formalize a solution, to a problem that has existed since
IC came into existence, where a customer realizes they need to add/remove/change
something within a short period of time after the order was submitted.

| It would be really awesome if there was some form of tax integration for Canadian
stores even if it is just a column for taxes and not just additional charges.
It could even be store managed and not automated by Bricklink like in the US.
Once we started collecting taxes a minimum order has to go away as the "additional
charges" spot used for a tiny order fee is occupied for charging taxes.
Thank you for reading

| I like to combine missing parts for my wanted lists into one. For example
I have multiple sets parted out into separate wanted lists, and I want to combine
all the missing parts into one list. Usually the default list. I like to do this
when going into a shop to get pieces. The way I do this is by selecting parts
and then copying them into another list. The problem is that it gives an error
when trying to add the same lot parts. For example two sets have technic pins
(a very common part) that I am missing. I can add the first sets pins to a new
list, but it will give me an error when trying to add the second sets pins because
the pins already exist in that list.
I think there should be a way to add instead of just copying. If I have
two sets with the same parts then I should be able to add the totals into a new
combined total.
There should also be folders for wanted lists. And also allow me to rearrange
the lists how I want instead of the 4 options given. Like if I want to move the
top list 4 spots down.
