I need to have a conversation with someone about this! There are a lot of details,
when presented together, paint a very clear picture of these figures being reprints!
This broken up forum discussion is clouding the issue!

I have presented this issue several times over the past 5 years, and it goes
nowhere. I am not going to drop it this time… This is my hill to die on!

Nate

the thing is that's slightly different as those are made for the sole purpose
of being smuggled out and sold rather then if they were made intended for sale
and got messed up during production and then given away rather then destroyed

Would it be possible to be able to have a conversation with someone about this?
Hashing this out in the forum isn’t the way to go. If these are in fact “super
fakes”, like I truly believe them to be, it will send a pretty big shockwave
through BrickLink, and Lego itself.

It has been brought up, several times, with pictures and explanation, never getting
any traction. The first time I brought it up was in 2018. It’s pretty obvious
when you look at how many Deadpool's have sold vs Wolverine/Magneto… there
is a difference in the print as well, it is very good, but it’s definitely different.
With how many of those figures have sold over the past five years, I would say
it’s easily 10s of thousands of dollars worth of sales.

Ah, I see. Has there been a discussion about the quality of the print itself
and the likelihood that it's not genuine?

Doesn't it seem like that this issue is fairly small if not contained to
just this minifig? Have there been any others found to indicate a widespread
problem? Do we know how new these figs are or if they have been sitting in a
box somewhere?

I haven't been following the issue closely so I may have missed some relevant
info about it.

Honestly, I just don't know what people expect buying a rare fig from someone
who seems to have a lot of them and at a huge discount? Do you really expect
to be getting the real thing?

I read it, what did I miss?

You've only got the beginning of the story. Keep reading.

I know most everyone doesn't seem to care much about this, but we have a
real problem because of this torso mold issue that came up a few months ago,
and again 2 days ago because of the Deadpool tie to that specific torso mold.

Russel himself implied that those torsos were never actually meant to make it
into sets, therefore Lego would have never printed on them. So how does a 10
year old figure, Deadpool, show up printed on that torso? It seems like this
could be the smoking gun to prove that those figures have been being re-printed
for a long time... Thoughts?
