I added an image for Sabine based on the instructions (pg. 54). Hopefully, my
memory is correct for how minifigs are oriented when they have helmet/hair variations.

I think all the figures are now pending with images.

You used to have to be the item submitter to add images while it's pending.
Has this changed?

Maybe you would like to submit images to speed up the process?

Cheers,

It's a catalog credits game. Find a rumor/leak or whatever just to be the
first to add it to the catalog, then let it sit.

There's really no reason to add it at that point, such as these figures added
back in July.

They have been pending since July.

This is exactly why I don't bother with the catalog much anymore. People
start listing things the moment there is a rumor and then they sit. There have
been plenty of times where I have the actual item in hand (sometimes even early)
and would be willing to add it with weight and photos, but I won't engage
in these games.

You brought it to the forum intending to shame the seller. I wouldn't be
surprised if a ton of sellers refuse to sell to you.

Also, some sentence structure helps.

Yep, and they decided that collectors would love to have stickers for important
details. They could have just raised the price $25-50, but instead they refuse
to listen to their fans.

$650 is a premium product, not just some toy for kids.

sets of the last 10 years at least. This is the Star Wars Venator-Class Republic

is the ever expensive Captain Rex. Most important of all, however, the early
access begins on my birthday.

Please find custom lot in store. BL won't let me sell it the easy way with

Bummer. I was hoping it would allow me to purchase the instructions and source
the needed parts myself. I already have a decent-sized personal collection to
pull from.

Also, the system automatically seems to choose stores with the highest quantity
of parts to fulfill the MOC. This tends to be the highest priced stores on the
site.

Despite wanting a couple of the larger MOCs, I will have to pass.

That's better news!

Just a point of clarification - even though we have confirmation that these are
genuine elements from a real LEGO mold does not mean these elements ever officially
made it into production. From our community members' analysis on the external
side, they never found one example among hundreds of minifigures tested that
had come from official sets.

So as far as we know, these were never officially released, at least in the traditional
sense of the word.

I don't think this is good news at all. This means that Lego willingly produced
very shoddy minifigs that by all measures seem fake. Cheap translucent plastic,
loose joints (arms and hips/legs).

This is great news Russell. Hopefully those YouTubers aren't silly enough
to argue with the results of testing from an internal LEGO department (who would
know more about the subject than anyone.) Aw, who am I kidding? They're
going to refute the evidence no matter what. It's their drama-loving nature.

Yes, it was a bit frustrating. I found 10 different packet codes in a fresh
Marvel series 2 box, so I bought those. I ended up with 2 of Storm and 2 of
Goliath. I was hoping this method would yield 10 different figures out of 12.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a scale with me at the time and I was out of
town, so I have to wait until they stock the figures locally.

You can have your mail held while on vacation. I'm not sure how the USPS
would handle large packages.

I feel the package is more likely to be victim of a porch pirate in the US, I
don't think USPS cares if you're on vacation or not, they will just leave
it at the mailbox.

I will usually give someone 3 days to pay and then send the invoice a second
time, finally at 7 days I start the NPB process.

Also, section 18 in the TOS. BL can also refuse service just like CNH1974 alleges
happened to them by an unknown seller. Not that I expect this to occur before
a warning.

18. Breach; Termination of Account:
We reserve the right to suspend, or terminate your account, delete all of your
data and deny you access to any or all of your data stored at the Site if you
breach these Terms or if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information
you provide to us.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we also reserve the right to terminate
your account, delete all of your data and deny you access to any or all of the
Site's features at any time for any reason without prior notice.

Report them for what? What part of the TOS did they violate? BL cannot force
anyone to sell to anyone else.

If I was the buyer, I would ask this seller why they are treating a repeat customer
this way and then move on to another store.

Orders are supposed to be a binding contract. At a minimum the store should
be required to post terms that outline which orders will be refused. BL admins
could potentially enforce this.

(I'm not suggesting that the store should be banned from selling)

Did they specifically state this as their reason for canceling the order?

Also, is this mentioned anywhere in their terms? If not, I would report them
to BL admins. It should be required that they notify in advance that they do
not sell to other BL sellers.

I have placed an order today with a seller who I have used 5 times before and
they have refused my order simply because I also have a store. They are convinced
I will resell their pieces on BL at a higher price.
I do know sellers who buy low and sell high. This seems to labour intensive to
me.

But is this a thing, sellers vetting customers?
If a seller refuses an order simpley because the buyer happens to have a store
as well, that is going to rule out a good proportion of this community.

Thoughts anyone.....

German seller? Starts with a B?

No, UK Seller starting with a S.
I think they could get a lot of negative feedback from this.

It can be helpful to view the inventory on Rebrickable first. Sometimes it notes
items that do not exist in the part/color combination. This could impact your
ability to completely purchase all of the parts.

Also consider that most models on Rebrickable have not been built with actual
Lego. The model may be held together with what I call digital glue.

Here's an example of a model that is neat at first glance, but has a host
of issues making it completely awful to build (I'm still not finished after
5 months and many headaches):

https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-123471/legolot/black-falcons-grand-tower/#details

Use the Wanted Items tab on the left (clue (2) on the first pic here: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2445
).

Before the selection, you’ll see all the items.

Once a store (or more) is selected, the items disappear from the list (or the
quantity goes to 0, it depends on the checkboxes on top and I don’t remember
the defaults).
So the remaining ones (or those with qty greater than 0) are not in the “pre-carts.”

Beware, due to “bulk lots” the percentage may be totally wrong… even greater
than 100%!
A bulk lot is when the seller wants you to buy by a multiple of a quantity, say
10, and the lots will have a “x10” next to them.  So you want 5 but buying 10
is cheaper (or more convenient / one store less to buy from), so Auto-select
will buy 10… and count 10 fulfilled and not 5.

Don’t hesitate to play with the options, select/deselect items (you can do that
in Wanted Items!) and click here and there to see what happens.
Nothing is final before you check out.  Nothing is reserved before checkout (so
you won’t annoy the sellers or the other buyers).

Also take the time to read the sellers’ terms and the items’ descriptions (the
latter especially if you buy Used).

And come back here for any other question.

Happy bricklinking

It's been on my list for several years, but I haven't gotten to it.

I was thinking making a 12" tall base (maybe with a drawer for bulky items),
then using a heavy duty turntable and a mix of 1/2" (4 side panels) and 3/4"
(4 rear panels and other construction) birch plywood.

Each side would be offset to minimize its floor space (see diagram for frame
details). I think 12 drawer units would be fine per tower (maybe even 16).

Has anyone found or built a big tough lazy Susan that could mount 12 of them?
Space is at a premium for me. I see that Craftsman doesn't seem to have
any accessories for these. The thing would need to stand on carpet and move
smoothly and I'm just not sure that is all safely possible.

Good catch. My Magneto figure seems normal.

Still, the whole figure feels fake in terms of plastic (thin / semi-translucent).
Plus it has slight mold differences in the head and torso (like mentioned in
the video).

I have a Deadpool with full Lego logos that I am willing to bet is fake. It
seems extremely fake/cheap compared to my Storm figure that also would have come
in the same set. The comments made to distinguish a fake figure by that video
also correspond to my Deadpool.

I still believe that 99.99% of all Lego with logos are real.

In Help, UTLF writes:
Yeah, that rumour in particular seems to be pretty bold - it makes very little
sense for a company to spend huge money on a mold with a fake Lego logo on it,
only to custom print or sell blanks for dirt cheap when you can order genuine
blanks off of PAB and make a profit

There's a video that has gone around talking about it, but it's largely
fueled by fearmongering from what I've seen

No it isn't.

USPS to France.
11lbs (~5 kilos) worth $1000.

1) Shipped Priority mail express international (Max. length 60", max. length
plus girth combined 108".
3 - 5 business days to many major markets
= $113.80 (retail price)

2) Shipped Priority mail international (same dimensions).
6 - 10 business days
$93.35

Max insurance coverage for both options is $650 @ $26.35

99€ for shipping is ludicrous. I can ship for $3.59 with USPS.

I always suspected that my Deadpool figure might be fake (it just doesn't

I recommend searching for the 2-3 rarest parts in the build. It helps to become
familiar with the BL catalog. You can do the same if you have random sealed
bags and want to identify the set.

In this example, I immediately recognized it was Star Wars and noted the rare
5x5 dish. Only one set it could be.

In Catalog Identification, randyipp writes:

Hey Brian,

Just a heads up, you can use the appears in search to fairly easily find these
partial builds. It may take a bit of time to identify 3 parts and their color
but this search is amazing if you spend a couple minutes using it (for the future).
Sometimes, if you pick generic parts, you may have to do it twice then cross
reference the results

Also very helpful for evaluating lots you haven't purchased yet.

P.S. I will search for more figures to add this weekend. I'm still trying

FB doesn't reset after 6 months.

They could have experienced a medical emergency (or other family concern) that

May the 4th on Lego s@h used to be exciting. Lame promos and paltry discounts
make the whole event pointless. There's not even a new UCS or MBS set to
be excited for this time.

I ended up just buying the giant clam shell, because it at least looked colorful
and fun to build.

To the best of my knowledge:

Sales tax is paid by the purchaser. If BL did not have the onsite feature of
collecting sales tax, then I would need to pay the amount to the state (annual
state taxes).

In Michigan this is called Use Tax. I'm happy that I don't have to deal
with that anymore, as all the online shopping that I do has sales tax collection.

The exception pertains to physical & online entities that are involved in the
collection of sales tax. In which case they have to remit those funds to the
appropriate state.

My guess is that you are not part of either scenario, whether you sell on BL,
Ebay, etc.

this, compared to the star fighters that you can buy for the same, or similar
price is pretty lame.

And don't get me wrong, the rocky texture does look cool, but the fact that
it costs so much for so little, is pretty awful. You'll notice that a good
portion of the listings here on BL actually are missing the minifigures, because
the seller just wanted them.

It's understandably frustrating that the Neutral counts against your total
percentage.

  We all feel that.

I guess that I am the anomaly on this issue. I do not see a problem with it.
Trying to pretend to be perfect is just too stressful for me. 99% and above
is generally fine and relatively easy to maintain. In Krysten's case, I
suspect things will begin to balance out closer to 700-1,000 FB and then it won't
matter anymore. It's the learning curve to selling that can be difficult,
especially with used product and meeting buyer expectations.

However, I think it's reasonable for a buyer
to expect not to get any clone bricks in their order. You don't seem shocked
at this assertion, so I might guess that you think it could possibly have happened?
I would take it as a lesson learned that you need to check over your stock VERY
carefully if you aren't sure of clones.

You cannot expect people to pay a minimum of $5 shipping (*which is roughly the
going rate) without a decent inventory. It is just proportionally too much to
spend, especially on small orders.

For example, I used to make lots of lower value impulse buys back when shipping
was $2-3. It was much easier to justify placing a hundred or so orders annually
(on BL alone). Now I'm in the 30-40 range and have alternative sources for
parts/sets.

41418 Mia's Ski trip

By my measurement and it might be off slightly, the depth is about 17" due
to the boathouse. Even then you may still need room to find a fitting spot for
the boats and consider Hagrid's hut as another accessory that needs space.

Width (length) is about 29"
Height is about 23.5"

I measured my actual set on display.

when fully built?

I know it is roughly 27.5 inches in length and 21.5 inches in height but what
is the width?

I want to buy a smallish table with wheels to display this on and I want to make
sure I get the right size table.

It seems I wasn't the only one to be bummed to find out they shipped the
freebies first.

I expected my set to arrive on the 10th, but only the World House and Brickheadz
came in that shipment. The actual set arrived March 13th. I have a full time
job, but I have photographed all the minifigs and some of their parts. I just
saw that 5 of my submissions have been approved and I can do some work on it
from here at work to sort that out. There are a few more new parts I need to
comb out on another run through the bags, but as far as getting the set itself
inventoried, I am probably about halfway, then I'll finish up the minifigs.

Neither TLG nor any BL Admin has contacted me in any way concerning this set.

Most people on Brickset are not their intended audience (I'm not either).

I don't expect anything awesome from Lego Ideas anymore, nor do I spent much
time looking at mocs to vote on. I will just choose from what is released, if
at all.

Regardless of Lego Ideas, I anticipate that this will be my most expensive year
for Lego in quite a while. Rivendell, Technic crane & Ford GT, Gringotts (rumored),
Ninjago City (rumored), new Disney castle (rumored), Indiana Jones, and so much
more.

In LEGO products, BricksOfFaith writes:

Brickset isn’t too happy….

I think I may buy it at discount to turn it into a modular record store. That’s
the only reason I’d ever buy it. It’ll most likely go into discount faster than
the queer eye set. (And don’t tell me it didn’t.)

Anyway, what do y’all think? I’m extremely unhappy with Lego ideas right now,
so I am not even gonna say anything about this monstrosity…. 😂

In an effort to clear my inventory and raise extra funds for upcoming set releases,
here are some store promos:

Free shipping on orders of $49 or more
Extra 10% discount on orders of $99 (use manual invoice)

------------
Otherwise, I need somewhere between 38-50% of current price for a large sale
(~$400 in my pocket after discounts). USA offers will be considered.

I anticipate that this will be an expensive year for upcoming Lego sets (based
on rumors and prerelease info).
