Thank you. That's a huge list.

One little problem - part 30241b should be 60475b.

We had exactly the same issue once. I asked the buyer to compare them with a
fresh new LBG part, not old used one.

He came back acknowledged they are LG not LBG.

Good luck!

Oh, then it may be one of these changes in the ToS after the buyout.

Okay, *I*’m officially getting old: I read “2020.”

Definitely a problem if it’s 2000.

It may also be a glitch in the app: it may still have bits of an old e-mail that
was not correctly deleted and that it “found back” today.

2000 OR 2020, OP wasn't with BL until 2021?

It has been fixed.

Thank you Randy. I thought about Magenta hands 20 mins before your message
Just didn't expect 973pb4789c01 got wrong hands listed.

Got the following message regarding dark pink hands

"Hi! I think I got the wrong colored hands. I was looking for the dark pink
hands from crystalized and what I got was the pink that came from Sinestro. Its
a lighter color"

I think it's about these two parts

Part No: 973pb4789c01 Name: Torso Armor, Broken with Magenta Chest with Spikes, White Trim, Dragon Logo Pattern / Trans-Dark Pink Arms / Magenta Hands
*
973pb4789c01 (Inv) Torso Armor, Broken with Magenta Chest with Spikes, White Trim, Dragon Logo Pattern / Trans-Dark Pink Arms / Magenta Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor. {Pearl Dark Gray}

Part No: 973pb3737c01 Name: Torso Large Blue Scalloped Collar, Silver Belt Pattern / Black Arms with 3 Blue Stripes Pattern / Dark Pink Hands
*
973pb3737c01 (Inv) Torso Large Blue Scalloped Collar, Silver Belt Pattern / Black Arms with 3 Blue Stripes Pattern / Dark Pink Hands
Parts: Minifigure, Torso Assembly, Decor. {Black}

We have 973pb3737c01 in stock and they have regular dark pink hands. We don't
have 973pb4789c01, do you know if it has darker dark pink hands? Or if there
are darker dark pink hands ?)

Thank you.

There’s 3.9 €cents too many but then there may be a few digits we don’t know
about or there’s a conversion done both ways (tax calculated in $ and then shown
back in €?).

Sorry let's forgot all the calculations.

The Item Total is the cart total BEFORE tax. I think your conversion theory might
be on the money, somewhere in the Spaghetti code USD and EUR mixed up?

VA has 5.3% sales tax but if the buyer lives in a municipality with its own sales
tax then that might make the numbers add up.

Unfortunately it doesn't.

We got taxed 6% here in northern Virginia. So if 20.17 is the amount including
tax, the item total should be 19.03, $0.97 shy of 20

I might be the only one with this thought... but... there should be some kind
of protocol/system in place for new users and being able to use the NSS and Feedback
all willy nilly like. I don't think a lot of new buyers understand what NSS
or Neutral feedback does to a seller.. even an established one.

I just got my first NSS, but he received the order, just missing 1 item. I messaged
him, shipped the item AND refunded him and he still filed NSS... I don't
even fully know what to do next other then write my reply to the initial filing.
Suggestions?

But it's things like this that can mess a good seller up or get them off
their game.

Also.. NEUTRAL FEEDBACK! It shouldn't go against our positive, yet it does.
There should be a disclaimer as someone hits the send button on neutral that
says "are you sure? Hitting this button makes this person's positive
feedback lessen.. are you suuuuuuuureeeee?????"

Penny for your thoughts?

Relax, you are not the only one. Read our last neutral feedback

We don't offer money for feedback removal, so our percentage isn't as
high. I don't think it affects potential buyer. Unfair buyers got on our
stop list.

As for NSS, show help desk your tracking and they'll remove it.

Thank you, Donna.

We'd like to add a Note field in inventory similar to Remarks not visible
to buyers. You may call it Note, Remark2 or Marker like in BrickStore, or
whatever.

Most of us using Remark for item locations, it would be great to have a place
for other item notes.

I don’t know the ball but the “hat post” you’re talking about is called a “small
pin” in the catalogue.

AFAIK, it’s only on Friends accessories, with no other standard connector, or
on plumes & flames.

The smallest flame is

Part No: 37775 Name: Wave Rounded Straight Single with Small Pin End (Candle Flame)
*
37775 Wave Rounded Straight Single with Small Pin End (Candle Flame)
Parts: Energy Effect
and it can be held by a clip.

This is spot on

Or any small plume

Order didn't show in both Buyer and Seller's account

Just got this message from a buyer

"Hi, I just ordered from your store, but for some reason I do not see anything
under the "orders placed" tab. I was wondering if you received payment."

Checked our PayPal and Order received page. There is an extra payment with no
corresponding bricklink order.

We send the unredacted version to the help desk, hope they'll find what went
wrong.

Happy holidays!

This has probably been raised before, but is there anything that can be done
about these sellers who list figs from the 70s and 80s as new? It’s hard to
be 100% sure they’re lying (even with feedback claiming buyers were sent used
as new), but how much circumstantial evidence is enough? I saw a seller today
who had some very rare castle figs listed as new, so I checked his parts list
and, wouldn’t you know it, some of the exclusive parts from those sets are listed
in used condition with damage noted. Really?

I’ve also sold a used fig to someone before and saw them list it as new a week
after I shipped it.

Why bother having a condition if you can just lie and there are no consequences?

there should defiantly be action taken against that. I've also on multiple
occasions ordered Minifigure parts (cant remember if it also figures) and received
clearly used parts

Not always. We had twice got scratched minifig torsos from the vey top feedback
store. Since our purchases were in 200 to 500 pieces, it's not likely they
are USED. They should check their inventory more careful though.

trust me the ones I'm talking about were very used (cracks, bitemarks, "dirt",
etc) but yes there is a balance. new parts to some extent all have wear. usually
its very minor but most of us have seen a few parts we take out of a new set
that only belong in the garbage can

Agree. Sorry I just mean some sellers may not know their inventory was flawed.
When I got 500 torsos all with fine scratches, I didn't think they were used.
But if I bought just a few, I probably did.

We got our share from new lego sets, from broken to misprint. Just found a set
of alphabet. From the misprint, I'd say there are 2 M and 1 W. 😜

It is similar to buying M & M's. Around 50% of them are falsified as they
clearly show 'W'......

/Asger

You didn't get it 😆. When printed perfectly centered, M and W looks the
same. For that misprinted set, all letters shifted to top, you can tell 2 Ms
and 1 W 🙃🙂

Here you go.😵‍💫

there should defiantly be action taken against that. I've also on multiple

Not always. We had twice got scratched minifig torsos from the vey top feedback

are USED. They should check their inventory more careful though.

Indeed. It's a travesty. These sellers are nothing more than scammers, the
lowest of the low. I've been reporting the one with the tire brand in their
name repeatedly every few months, but nothing's ever done despite the fact
that it's patently obvious from literally over 100 feedback reports that
they regularly sell new figures as used. How much more evidence is needed? Get.
Them. Off. The. Site.

" the one with the tire brand in their name " LOL. Never deal with them but from
all the feedbacks they should be banned.

It's very bad practice, right after fake parts. Even with comments on the
part. We purchased some transparent parts with "has been in storage, may have
slight scratching." They turned out much worse and listed as USED in our store.
The store is on our least favorite list. You may get more money for one sale,
but your customers won't come back.

Thanks

We got a couple of those but the problem with them is that they just look way
to nice (and shinny) to use as a keychain.

I agree fully, when you mix plastic with metal (keys), the plastic won't
last too long. I'm keeping mine in its sealed bubble-wrap bag, and no plans
to let it get some fresh air

Free it from the chain and display as part of monofigure collection

My point is larger sellers may not be trying to deceive you, just have a longer
process.

Also, I never hear anyone complaining giant sellers like Amazon or LEGO S@H do
the exact same thing / have the exact same delays for tracking

Let me know if you need something specific and maybe I can add it.

Maybe you included tax as part of PayPal fee?

It listed as partner commission apart from PayPal fee.

This is plain wrong - here 1€ is still 1€ !

1€ is still 1€, but 1€ is $1.1 before only $0.97 now. When you calculated average
price using USD, there is a big difference 😳.

Sylvain was half-joking

“Half-” because when you buy and sell (mostly) in € and in EU or even in your
own country, the exchange value doesn’t matter (yet).

It does matter for the global price guide. If a single 1 euro item sold six months
ago and another sold now then the average price in USD has gone down.

That’s what bahpstore said, and/therefore I was just trying to explain the not-joking
other half of Sylvain’s comment.

Besides, Yellow.Brick said it’s the opposite that happened: the prices in € are
lower now.

Prices in a weakening currency go up, not down (if the price variation is only
due to the exchange rate).

Say the $ price didn’t change / the $ is stable.  Something that cost €10 6 months
ago was €10*1.1 = $11, it should cost $11/0.97 = €11.34 now.  So if the item’s
at €9 (old price in € minus 10%) now, like Yellow.Brick said, that’s 20% lower
in $ (9*0.97/11 = 79.4%).

Let's use a simplest example:

One part sold twice, one for €1.00 another for $1.12 when the exchange rate is
€1.00 = $1.12. At that moment US buyer would see the average price was $1.12,
EU buyers would see the average price was €1.00.

Fast forward to €1.00 = $0.97, the same US buyer will find the average price
is $1.045 (1*0.97 + 1.12)/2 and the EU buyer will see the average price is €1.077
(1.12/0.97 + 1)/2

The strong dollar drag down average price for US sellers, but pop up average
price for EU sellers.

Tried one called CountThings, it doesn't have a Lego part templet, doesn't
really work with any other templets.

Looks like "Count This" is a paid version, reviews also mentioned templet, I'll
pass.

me for a time of day (I'll let you convert into UTC) it would be at 3pm MST

I hope the seller who has the order with the ID number of 20,000,000 will chime

I have a bit of a conundrum. I agreed to be the sponsor for my local LUG at a

I would get a small booth out of it. Turns out it is 20ft x 30ft space. And
I'll BE THE ONLY VENDOR THERE. It's a week-long event that is expecting

We don't have any more in stock, so opened a QE set, it has 28657 on it.
Checked a few used in our MOC, they have a not through hole and a © with batch

The note said "This part has at least three variants with and without bottom

a through hole and no stamp, or they are off brand?

Thank you.

We have plenty. which are closed and open and with all colors. I guess it was
from the time were they considered it a chocking hazzard and left a hole in them.
Though it has been shown that they're easier to remove when the don't
have a hole. At least it was thw case for minifig heads.

Thank you so much for confirming this, Christian.

Off-brand got into inventory is the shop's worst nightmare. This is first
time we got such question and it's from a customer I trust.

I checked our purchasing history and found most of them came from a bulk purchase
last year from a 5k+ feedback shop. I'm about to put it on our least favorite
list and never purchase from them again, thought I'd better check if they
could be an old stock.

until another account is created, I suppose.

The account sent message to me is not even confirmed. So I made a suggestion
for not letting such account to send message

https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1356896

This will not stop them, at least let the spammers work harder

he said that he sent me a email on gmail. I told him that this wasn’t what I
saw on the invoice and now he changed the order from packed to requesting to
cancel his reason being buyer wants a lower price and doesn’t understands English.
Is he allowed to change the price when he wants after giving me an final offer?
Not sure if I can just refuse the price change and get my order for the original
price. I can send the invoice screenshot for proof if needed

If the seller sent invoice to you, it's seller's fault to cancel your
order.

You should also ask Bricklink to remove their feedback to since they call you
retarded, clearly against Bricklink rules.

This is a tech glitch, we had 4 and bricklink is aware of the issue.

Here is how to fix it

1. go to your PayPal account and void the pending transaction.

2. edit the order from paid to not yet paid

3. ask the buyer to try again.

Anyway, in those years I’ve developed what could be termed: category likes. Certain
categories within the catalog I tend to buy from when bored, simply because I
enjoy or appreciate the items. I would call it collecting, but it’s not really
that. I have collections, none Lego related.

No, I spend money on these Lego, rationalizing the expenditure with “I’ll sell
it someday in our normal course of doing business here." I guess the perceived
difference for me, is that simple fact; the intention to sell at some point

Well this morning, after several cups of jo, I started pondering those categories
I’ve come to enjoy, and asked myself why? That is, why do I appreciate them,
say over others?

Are there items of particular categories within the BL catalog, you tend to
enjoy more than others? If so, what are they and why the affinity?

I’d enjoy reading your thoughts on this, and have mischievously omitted a personally
salient bit for now: my categories. I will post them, but I would kinda like
to read some of your thoughts, first

My name is Zoe and I work for a tech company and we have created a lego kit of

part list are all finalized). I create all the kits by hand but we are growing
really fast as a company and I don't have the bandwidth for all the anniversaries
coming up. Ideally I am looking for a store that would be willing to source the
needed parts for us. OR if anyone has any information about automating the kit,
any suggestions, would be amazing. (I have reached out to Legos but it seems
they only reach out if they are interested and that was over a year ago.) I have
all the information you would need.

Any help or direction would be appreciated. I have only been brought to BrickLink
by work but every buyer I have dealt with has been so pleasant and kind so I'm
just throwing this out into the community and hoping for the best. Thank you

Yes once it has an image uploaded to it.

I have items in hand can update picture, weight, and dimension. Thank you.

You can upload an image but since it was someone else who submitted the item
you won't be able to edit this other info whilst it's pending.

So you can either wait for it to be approved and submit it then or just add the
info in the notes field when uploading the image and we will credit you for the
data.

Thanks
Paul.

Submitted the image. Thank you, Paul.

Is it possible that you send 2 packages using the same label?

We once got a message that we sent an extra package to a buyer. It's for
another order. He confirmed that we used exactly the same label. Several days
later we got charged by USPS. This is before ShipStation.

The email doesn't tell me anything, but I dug in and found a CSV that is
mainly gibberish, but under reason code it says DUPLICATE.

The charge they took from me was equal to the charge I originally paid for the
package. I don't know what duplicate means.

To be clear, I have already sent an email asking for my money back. They have
always given it, though it is sometimes nearly a year later.

Are you using any kind of software outside of Bricklink that interacts with the

If so, maybe that deducted one (or more) orders twice.

No, we didn't update that lot. In fact, we can't make any lot negative.
Bricklink won't allow it.

This or zeros.

It happens from time to time, and is probably related to Instant Checkout, when
a buyer places the order and doesn't (or cannot) finalize the payment, the
items are temporarily removed from stock...

In general everything's fixed the latest everyday for you I guess at midnight
by BrickLink's batch/cron maintenance.

I'd recommend you NOT to change this until you see it's here (or not)
tomorrow.

Otherwise, there's also a setting in your shop like "Remove my zero inventory",
don't remember, I'll find it if you can't.

I did set it up, to every day.

As such, I will periodically run sales/offers/donations, to physically move inventory

Because of the volume/weight involved, and what with shipping being what it is,
some transactions (whether monetary or not) will involve physical transfer to
the person(s) receiving. I.E. I’m not shipping, got it ?

The first in this sequence will be empty boxes. I probably have 20-50 empty boxes
from sets, all of these are 15-25 years old. When I find the time, I will compile
a list and post it against this message. They will be free, but you will be required

You are right again, Cory. Seller emailed the shipping label, they switched street
number and zip code. So this one is not on USPS. Hope they will find it.

On the other end, we had an APO order, no scan at all, but buyer marked order
completed. It's a Priority Mail Box, how it made to the destination without
a single scan is beyond me.

Over the past several months, we’ve seen a variety of Transparent and Glow-In-Dark

Of particular note are the Darth Vader minifigures, Batman, and other superheroes.

We will start removing these listings this week, both from the custom items section

please add these to the things you screen for.

Thank you,

Thank you for taking care of this.

What about all the odd colored SW Blasters? Are they allowed legitimate Lego

All of the three shared this general pattern:

We had X parts for sale.
Buyer purchased X parts.
Stock remaining was listed as -2X. (And put in stockroom).

I then checked another lot.

We previously had 82 parts for sale.
Buyer purchased 22 parts.
Lot showed 16 parts remaining.

It subtracted the triple the number of parts actually sold on all of these lots.
There are 6 more lots in the order that I have yet to check, but some of them
have remaining quantities in the thousands, so I am loathe to count them all
up.

Has anyone else had this problem?

What factors contribute if anything is known?

Thanks for any input.

Do you have 2 orders in progress? Sometimes when the payment didn't go through,
the parts could show unavailable for a while, 10 minutes.

  Hello everyone,

I´ve just got my first chargeback via Stripe. I am not sure but it seems that
a user has used a stolen credit card. He opened an account on bricklink with
this username: markapope
He tried to buy a product 4 times in my shop. But the payment didn´t work. So
it was cancelled. One day later, he opened another account on bricklink with
this new username: matthias45

Now the payment worked. I got an order, shipped it to the adress. Everthing seemed
to be good. One week later I was informed by Stripe that the Bank SANTANDER UK
PLC will book back the price of the order because of a potential fraud (4,37
EUR). On top of that, they charged me with a 15 EUR processing fee. So this fee
is about 3 times higher than the complete order.

I was really shocked about this. I have now sent a few documents which will be
studied by the bank SANTANDER. They will make a final decision. But only a decision
about the 4,37 EUR price. The fee is finally set.

So my questions are: Do you made similar experiences? Is it possible that I refuse
this chargeback? Is this fee really legal?

For me I made a decision: Never ever work again with Stripe. I would have guessed
that they protect me. But they did nothing and tell me that it´s all on the bank.

Stripe will refund the fee if the bank ruled in your favor.

We had one, a new buyer filed "product was deemed unacceptable" right after receiving
it. We contacted buyer asking which parts were unacceptable - He ordered a bunch
of them - No answer.

We filed response, gave as much information as possible. Order detail with communication,
his new user status, our good standing etc. Also store terms since it asked return
policy.

GOLDMAN SACHS BANK USA did the right thing. Good luck!

Correct, there are more castle sets listed on BL than I have collected. I do
not collect all those maxifigures, so the 211 number reflects the "classic" sets,
and accessory packs.

You may download them here

Import into brickstore and remove what you don't want then sync price. PM
me if you need more info.

I'm trying to calculate the approximate value of a specific (sub-)collection.
Other than looking up every single item and looking for price, is there another
method (or if anyone has calculated any of the below, I'll happily take that
info, may even send you something for the effort). Specifically interested to
know the approximate value of any of the following (in excellent but used condition):

1) all collectible minifigs (so series 1-21 as well as all others (Marvel, Simpsons,
Team BG, etc, collection is 1 copy of each unique figure).

2) all castle figures (1 copy of each castle figure, ~515 minifigs)

3) all SW figures (1 copy of each SW figure, ~1230 minifigs)

4) all train sets, including accessories and track, ~260 sets

5) all castle sets, ~211 sets

I'm not a database wizard, but some of you may know or have done such a calculation.

You can download them here, just need some xml editing for brickstore.

Any suggestions?

Your buyer marked it as paid on their side. You may edit it as unpaid and go
from there.

I'm not sure were the $850 number came from.

From Europe to the USA using harmonization code 95030090

there doesn't appear to any duty: https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/

I think the issue with your order is the harmonization code.

Thank you. My previous message thanking everyone is cancelled due to I copied
that UPS email address.

Just want to say thank you to everybody. I won't clog the forum by replying
every messages. I'm very grateful to everyone's help! THANK YOU!!!

Or if the package is coming from North Korea or Cuba - it does sound like a brokerage
fee, something for which UPS is (fairly or not) notorious. I've definitely
never paid a duty on any non-domestic order.

It's a first for us as well. It's from Netherlands, but I didn't
buy 32050 BLACK PLATE ,MODIFIED 1X2 WITH DOOR, whatever it is.

We got an invoice from UPS for import duty charged for a bricklink order, on
which we already paid sales tax. Anybody knows what the law says on this matter?
Thank you.

Just got another message about tracking # "Hi, you are located in VA and I'm
in FL. Can't you please verify the tracking number as this package has just
arrived in California.."

It jogged my memory about this exchange, just for a little laugh. Happy Friday
everyone!

Did you file a missing package search request through the usps website? It only
takes a minute to do. And usually gets the package found very quickly. Just some
advice if you have never done that before.

We did, and got an email "The US Postal Service® received the search request
you submitted and it's being processed. Your package has not yet been recovered,
but every effort is being made to locate your item(s)." before they found it

That is unusual - I got my order from Little Phoenix less than a week after I
placed it (and I did receive every single thing that I had ordered). Sometimes
you just never know when (or where) the post office will send packages. I've
had that problem with eBay a number of times, but so far, not with BrickLink,
and I hope it stays that way with any future BrickLink orders.

Thank you! And thank God this is only an extreme case, 99.9% of our package is
on time.

Trust to be reliable?

Maybe go with the sentiment behind that Russian proverb Reagan took a shine to
"Trust, but verify (Doveryai, no proveryai)"

Trust, but insure with USPS

* at least for high-value packages during holiday season

The problem is - no way to verify! And insurance on every package may not be
the best solution, maybe trust and pray
