When sets go up for crowdfunding, what is the link to the website for it? Is
it kickstarter or indiegogo?

(If there's a better forum for these questions please let me know!)

Regarding the Ideas builds on ideas.lego.com - these are just builds by people
not working for LEGO, right? Are all the parts existing LEGO parts, or do
they somehow make new ones themselves? For instance, mini-figures for a new theme.
Do they just find existing heads and torsos that resemble what they are trying
to achieve? And how does this work with themes that include IP from some other
source not licensed by LEGO? For example, there's a Mr. Roger's Neighborhood
set. As far as I can tell, LEGO never made a Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood set.
So how does the designer and LEGO deal with the licensing issue (the likeness,
the TV set, the names, etc. ) to display it on their Ideas website before it's
an official set and before LEGO has licensed that IP?

Also, do the Ideas designers print custom stickers or do they only use existing
decorated peices? And if they print stickers that include another company's
IP that LEGO has not licensed, how are they able to display those?

Thanks!

Dear all
I have received an automated message that one piece is not from the «pick-a-brick-palette».
It is only a single tiny tile 1 by 1.

Unfortunately I can't find out what this color ID means:

Identifier: 3070b

Color: 2

Is it blue, yellow, green or light bluish green
Have not used other colors.

Hi there!
Just wondering how long approximately it might take for my brick link designer
program submission to be approved? I submitted it about a week ago and I haven’t
heard anything since.

I was just like a bit concerned it might not get approved in time for the deadline!

Thanks

I just submitted a model but realized after submission that I made a mistake,
I selected that I previously submitted the model in series 1 when I did not.
Is there any way to change that?

I hope this isn't addressed somewhere else and I just missed it. I was wondering
where larger animals are in the bdp palette? I was never able to find them but
they must be there, one of the winning sets uses horses, another uses a dog.
I feel like I've been through the part list several times and I can't
seem to find these extra animals, I know I might feel real dumb when I finally
figure it out but I need help.

I like all of those that were chosen, now, the waiting begins.

I don't know which I want more, but I have time to contemplate.

Any guesses on the price?

Mountain Fortress, 3986 pcs, 0 stickers, my guess $429.99 USD

Parisian Street, 3465 pcs, 16 stickers, my guess $399.99 USD

The Old Train Engine Shed, 2298 pcs, 10 stickers, my guess $279.99 USD

The Snack Shack, 548 pcs, 3 stickers, my guess $59.99 USD

General Store – Wild West, 1848 pcs, 4 stickers, my guess $199.99 USD

I won't claim to be a professional with Studio, I'm sure there's
much to learn. I noticed the palettes option for inserting parts and wondered
if there's a way to create a palette as you go along with a project, adding
the pieces that you frequently use, rather than searching or hunting through
the maze of various parts and bits off to the side of my build (as I'm doing
currently). Thoughts?

Hi,
Sorry if it's not the right section.
I just received the Observatory and the box is damaged and opened on both sides.
I'm frustrated off course, but I intend to keep it and build it.
Now, I don't want to be frustrated twice. I see many bags but I'd like
to make sure I'm not missing one before I start to build.
Could you help me please? I'd like a list of all bags in the box.
Thanks

Hi,
got a really random question, if it can't be helped its no big deal, just
thought I'd ask about it.

My submission was just approved, but there seems to be a glitch with the name
of my submission. I named it "Stables & Inn", but it now shows up as
"Stables & Inn". I am guessing the submission didn't properly
translate my "&", as the amp is likely short for ampersand, which is
the name for &, and as I definitely didn't type that. It appears normally
elsewhere, but would give a bad first impression for the crowd vote since the
title is the first thing they see.

If anyone has any ideas or can help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
I am trying to upload my design to the bricklink designer program. When I upload
my studio file, I get an error saying "0.30% invalid parts not available
in the BDP Series 1 Palette". However, in studio, there is no issue with
the parts. The color validator shows no issues, even with filters on. Anyone
else have this issue or have ideas on how to fix it?

Is there a reason that the pull-back motor is not on the BDP1 list? I have a
dragster design I would like to submit that uses it.

LEGO still makes designs with it... and they still sell it on their website.
I thought that was the criteria for bricks being included on the BDP1 list?

There are also thousands of them available on Bricklink...

It's part number

Part No: 12787c01 Name: Pullback Motor 6 x 5 x 3
*
12787c01 Pullback Motor 6 x 5 x 3
Parts: Motor, Non-Electric {Dark Bluish Gray}

I have a few designs that I want to submit to the designer program, but studio
is missing several bricks that I need. I had never used studio before. I have
always used LDD and LDRAW. But apparently all the submissions have to be a studio
file.

I downloaded the latest version of studio 2.23.1 (1) and imported a few LDD files
into it. It worked, but the design is missing a few very important pieces because
they are not available in Studio. Which is frustrating because they are available
in LDD and LDRAW

I left a post in the studio forum with the brick IDs 25380 and 24232 but I can't
imagine they will update the software before the submission deadline.

Can I still submit it without those pieces? I have pdf instructions, images,
everything I need to submit... but it will not look right in studio until those
bricks are added.

Help! What do I do?

LEGO Idea book 6000 had several builds that weren't made into sets. I recreated
the space crane (no official name in the book so I'm calling it that) that
was used to help fix the alien ship. No string is visible as it's not in
the program but there should be string from the yellow winch, through 2 black
plates with the hole to the hook.

Hi,

Is there any way to get the series 24 space baby into Studio? I see that you
can add custom decals to parts, but the hands on the standard baby are yellow,
and I don't know how to create or import the dual molded head piece. Does
anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Thank you for the warm reception to the continuation of the BrickLink Designer
Program! We hosted a webinar on Wednesday for interested fan designers. Tanja
and the team covered the Submission Guidelines and took questions. You can check
out the video here: https://bit.ly/BDPS1-Webinar-Recording

We've also updated the BDP Series 1 palette with some printed elements and
will be pushing another parts update soon.

Still have questions? Please ask them in the Studio Forum https://bit.ly/BDP-Forum
or email us at BDPsupport@bricklink.com.

Happy building!

I was just wondering about the rule "Don't use rare colors," one of these
colors was Trans-Clear. Does this mean that I cannot use the 1 x 4 x 6 Door Frame
with a Trans-Clear Window, or does this apply to other pieces.

In the 2023 designer program, is it required to post the design's instructions
along with the studio file? Or you can provide the Instructions in a later date
after the submission ?

I have no experience using any design programs so I'm looking for some help.
Is there anyone out there willing to provide their services and design me something?
Best design gets $25 worth of credit in my store. (I really have no idea how
big a task it is to design what I'm looking for, so I have no idea how to
assign a monetary value to it.)

What I need:
My son was gifted this non-lego Truman the Tiger set. kind of cool, but non-lego
(yuck!)
I would like to give him a real lego Truman the Tiger build. I'm thinking
12"-15" tall.
Picture 2 is a model of what I would like.

Thanks a bunch

Hi,

Total noob to Bricklink and really excites by the Designer Program sets. I know
the boat has totally sailed on some really cool sets, but is there a way to get
alerts for if/when new sets are going to be released and voted on etc??

Look forward to hearing more and one day hopefully getting my paws on one
or a few in the future. I know you can build them yourself but I like the convenience
of all the bits etc in 1 box!

Hey,

Does anyone have any info on the expected delivery dates for the designer program
sets in the US?

I've received an email from LEGO every week since July 4th telling me that
my Clockwork Aquarium is back ordered and to expect it to ship in about a month.
That's 7 different messages so far. The one I just got on Aug 19th says it
will ship by Sept 18th. It's getting kinda annoying.

I'm pretty new to Studio 2.0 and its been years since I used LDD, but as
an Engineering Student I've gotten very used to the PTZR (Pan Tilt Zoom Rotate)
system that normal CAD programs such as SOLIDWORKS use. I added a GIF of me moving
around a SOLIDWORKS assembly.

I think there are two main differences between Studio and SOLIDWORKS. In SOLIDWORKS
you can zoom to the cursor (like Google Maps). You can see me zoom on each triangle
in the GIF just by moving the cursor (then using the scroll wheel to zoom).

You can also rotate the viewpoint around an object instead of the point in space
by beginning your dragging on the point you want to use as your center. You can
see the second one in SOLIDWORKS in the GIF I attached where I am rotating around
the pink point (which is where I began my drag (SOLIDWORKS uses the scroll for
the rotate tool, but which button does what isn't a big deal).

This has made it problematic and extremely annoying to use the PTZR system that
Studio uses (and iirc the PTZR system that LDD used). I have only seen one other
post on this topic, I'm assuming because many people are used to LDD's
PTZR and don't encounter this issue.

Am I alone in hating the PTZR of Studio? Would the Studio devs be interested
in adding an optional PTZR system like SOLIDWORKS? PLEASE? I BEG IM GOING INSANE.
Alternatively if you're not a dev, any suggestions like a hotkey to swap
the center of rotation to a certain part (I think LDD had this).

Best,
Fred

I think I am getting an update about every week or so punting my shipping date
back further. Weird part is that I can see people apparently selling theirs already.
Can someone tell me what is going on? Lego said it was out of their hands and
up to Bricklink to put the kits together. So is this a struggle to just get everything

Every two weeks or so, for the past month+ now, I have been getting updates that
my order for the Old Fishing Boat will be shipped out in about two weeks. It
just keeps getting pushed back.

What was an early June ship out date is now for the first week of July.

I'm actually moving sometime during the second week of August. And that worries
me if the ship out date is pushed further out.

More delays to come?

Dear all,

Just a brief update to let you know that during BDP Round 3, a technical error
caused Mountain View Observatory to sell at a lower than intended price for some
customers and full price for others.

The initial amount charged was a temporary hold which will be returned. When
we are ready to ship in Spring 2023, all customers will be charged the lower
of the two prices displayed.

Hi,

I had choose a ADP design, but now I see they are all gone and I don't have
anything.
I had ordered (not payed, because that will be later) and never heard of it again.

This is what I see in my order page:

AFOL Designer Program Orders
You won't be charged for you order(s) until it's ready to be shipped.
Once we receive payment, your ADP order(s) will become BrickLink orders and manageable
in Orders Placed.

You ordered 1 designs
Go to your ADP orders

When I follow the link: Go to yuor ADP orders it will go to an error page.

Someone know more about this?
Probably I did something wrong.

Kind regards,

Tim

Can LEGO please correctly update our Order Details Pages with the following:

1) Correct SKU listed under item instead of empty field / NULL
2) Correct item name listed Name instead of SKU:random ID
3) Correctly linking to the product page at brick link product page, for example

https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/designer-sets-for-adult-fans-of-lego/215744/Modular-Construction-Site

4) Change "Backordered" or "In process" to the expected ship date "Ships March
2023"
5) Remove CANCELED orders from "My Orders" page. (LEGO canceled 8+ orders and
they clutter up the "My Orders" page. I thought we could order 5+ and didn't
read the notice
6) Make it not possible to create an invalid order. If a user can't order
more then 1 of an item, they should never be able to checkout. Canceling orders
after the fact just makes for disappointed customers.

The following is what I see in my orders

I estimate LEGO made ~16 million USD on these orders. So please hire a few interns

the start.

Does anyone know when the round 3 sets are set to ship? I thought it was originally
set to be Q3 of 2022 but have read some people saying Q4 2022 and some saying
Q1 2023. Does anyone know the official date, BL or LEGO S@H have never sent an
email updating buyers of this.

Thanks!

Hello All,

I hope that Lego increases the maximum amount of preorders per set. I made the
stupid decision of not ordering the Observatory and the train station for my
brother when I saw it around the 4000 unit mark at around 10:44 AM - I tried
calling my brother thrice on my cell to confirm, but he didn't picked up.
I figured thst it would still be available later today. I checked at around
noon AM, and it was sold out; the train station barely reached the maximum 10,000
units nark. With that said, I panicked and ordered it quickly. After calling
my other brother on the phone about missing out on the Observatory, I checked
Bricklink, and the train station just sold out.

Even though my brothers and I are adults, we share our Lego collection.

I have read months before that Lego increased the maximum order amount for round
1. I hope they do it again since all the sets in roind 3 seem to sell out within
the day - it took a few days for rpund 2 to sell out.

So I tried to get the steampunk lab set, but it didn't fund in time. I paid
lego for the set. What do I do now? Will the order just drop off? Do I need
to call lego and cancel?

Thanks in advance.

We’re really sorry, but your recent LEGO® Shop order T3909600xx has been cancelled
because it went above our purchase limits for the following items:
910008 Modular Construction Site

I ordered two..

Was one a limit?

Hi LEGO friends,

I am brand new to this community and I was wondering how the Designer program
works. When the 17th may is there is it just that the several sets come online
and you can order them? If it reach 3000 then it will be produced if not your
money would be shipped back?

Is this how it works? Or do I have to do something special?

greets!

I have a very simple question but can’t seem to find the answer. If I like a
designer program set (let’s say in the early stages) how do I make sure I am
not too late to pre-order it? Does it come with a notification (pre order alert)
or should I log on to bricklink on a daily basis 😬😬😬?
Kind regards J Prickaerts

...I can not tell which are which on Lego.com.

They are listed by Lego sku, which do not conform to Bricklink Item Number.

Can anyone tell me what these are?

SKU: 6401903 $64.99
SKU: 6398259 $179.99
SKU: 6393843 $54.99

Thanks in advance,
John

Just noticed that the prices for Round 3 of the Designer Program have been updated.
Of the 9 options, the cheapest set is $130, second cheapest is $200. 5 of the
9 sets are $300+. I know some of the sets are quite large, but I think having
no low priced options this wave may hurt the program.

I am not sure what the exact criteria is for sets brought into this program,
and maybe there aren't any small sets ready, but I wouldn't be surprised
5 sets aren't fully funded this round. Anyone else thinking along the same
lines?

-Pete
