Hope someone can help. I had a customer place an order two weeks ago. I emailed
them back within 10 mins with an answer to their question and have sent numerous
mails asking if they plan on paying for their order. I've had no replay and
no payment. I am inclined to submit an NPB but I am worried about them leaving
me (unwarranted) bad feedback. I can already sense people saying that I shouldn't
care about the feedback, but I do. I've had nearly 650 orders and have 100%
praise. It's important to me . . . and I don't want someone to leave
me spiteful and unfair feedback when I send them an NPB and leave them bad feedback.
Thoughts?

If the NPB gets completed, the buyer cannot leave feedback, so you'll be
safe. However, if the buyer pays after you initiate the NPB, the NPB will be
removed and they can still leave feedback.

I just broke a piece off of a dark green 2x16 plate the other day when cleaning
and rebuilding my Sopwith Camel. Not fun since that's the only set with that
piece... Thankfully it was still usable and I was able to put it in a spot where
you can't see the damage.

With the recent addition of Commander Fox sw0202b, it has got many people in
the community questioning wether or not variant minifigs such as this should
be given an sw number on here?
Have the rules changed or been relaxed? Where will it end?
For the completionists it just makes collecting more challenging (& expensive)
& the worry will be it’ll put people off or they’ll give up altogether, as the
barrier to collect minifigs is already high with over 1300+ in the catalog.
For those wondering, I did own Fox, but sold it as it never had an sw number
& now I’m faced with a decision, do I fork out hundreds of pounds to get it (if
I can find one), or just sit with the knowledge of my collection never being
complete & quitting altogether?

I'm not a star wars minifigure collector, but if I was, I would not base
the completeness of my collection based on whether bricklink decides to give
the item number a "sw" or not. If you're basing it on a catalog,
then what catalog are you basing it on? Brickowl doesn't have separate variation
for this minifig; so by their criteria then your collection is fine.

I feel like you're making something out of nothing.

Pulling hundreds and thousands of lots daily can be challenging and when the
orders are coming in fast and furious, it can be easy to get backed up. However,
we are happy to announce that we have implemented a faster turnaround on orders.
We are lowering our fulfillment time from 2-5 business days to 1-3 business days.
You can still use our extra speedy service for a small fee as well to get guaranteed
fulfilment in 1 business day or less (same day is possible if order is placed
early enough).

Also, please take a look at our vast inventory with many pieces on sale up to
25% off. All orders in the USA over $75 ALWAYS get FREE SHIPPING and all orders
anywhere over $100 also get 5% OFF. We also offer reward coupons to repeat buyers
for even more savings (see Splash Page for details)

We're adding thousands of pieces daily, so it's a great time to find
the pieces you need and SAVE!

It doesn't update if the buyer pays and adds to the order at the same time.

So we're looking at trying to streamline of processing our used pieces. Currently,
we figured we handle each piece about 6 times from start to finish, and we'd
really like to cut that down a bit. Here's our current process.

1. Get a box of used pieces, break it down into about 40 or so broad categories
(brick modified, tiles, plate 2x, etc.).

2. When one of the boxes of those categories gets full, we'll break it down
to individual pieces.

3. We then take each individual piece and separate them into colors and putting
aside the decorated items.

4. We then take the colors, do the final deep lookover for fakes, defects, etc.
then count what we have.

5. We list each item, putting them into one of our several hundred organized
and labeled bins.

6. When ordered, we pull the piece from their bin and package it up, sending
it to the customer.

So how does everyone else go through the steps? As you can see, each piece is
handled quite a bit, but because of the quantities we deal with, we can't
figure out a way to combine any steps that will still be efficient.

good idea. I just send a message asking for photos. (the tracking number he provided

invoices in the package but my business card should be included along with the

Also give them your address and ask them to verify that the return address on

and it doesn't take long for the labels to lose their adhesive and fall off,
nor for the label to wear away from handling it so much.

Why are there so many sellers with so much product and driving up prices insanely?
I genuinely would like to know if there's any good reason for it.

Just look through some of the listings for various parts (ie: road plates, chain
links, string with studs, tiles) ordered from most quantity to least, there are
quite a few sellers with an obnoxious amount of parts, and charging far more
per piece than a sane person would dare pay; Especially knowing it'd be cheaper
to order freshly fabricated parts, and sometimes entire sets, directly from lego.
Keep in mind handling fees, taxes/tariffs, and shipping all add to that nonsense,
so it will be hard to justify paying exponentially more for something people
get no guarantees about.

I would say that those stores shouldn't even be allowed to post any listings,
but I'm not the website manager. So if scalping and price gouging/fixing
are going to be a thing on this site, everyone and everything having anything
to do with it, or even references this site, is entirely worthless to me,
and likely others. Everyone else can enjoy the satisfaction that they've
got less sense than dollars.

Not the feedback people were looking for, was it?

Prices have been going down as of late, not up.

Of course sellers with higher quantities are usually going to have higher prices.
Most people will pay a few cents per piece more to get everything at one place
than pay shipping for 5 different orders. Just normal business.

No, never ever restrict listings simply because they're priced too high or
too low. This is a free marketplace, and should stay one. Don't like the
prices, then don't buy the items.

I've seen it listed either way on here but want to do it right. I currently
have mine listed as new incomplete because they don't have the foil bag but
have all the pieces and paperwork.

pretty sure if you don't include the foil bag or the leaflet it has to be
listed as incomplete

Are you sure? I never list them with the foil bag and have never had an issue.
Can't you do the same with any other set. If you have all the piece, with
instructions, but no box, you can list it as complete, right? I don't usually
sell sets, so I could be wrong.

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=102

Thanks! They should seriously consider changing that, as I'm sure the majority
of used sets no longer have their instructions and even more so without their
box. It forces sellers with complete sets to mix their listings in with the incomplete
ones.

but there seem to be a lot of new members buying from my store. I don’t think
there’s any reason to worry but it’s also interesting that bricklink tells you

New buyers often order and never pay, but other than that i've had no scammers,
so I would let them order from you.

Thanks, Noah

I’ve had that happen before it’s annoying but not worth banning a whole group,
thanks

You can't ban them anyway.

Well, you therotically could by enabling the option requiring new users to use
IC then having no IC options. Horrible and terrible idea, but I have had that
option enabled before and had new users complain they couldn't check out
because they were trying to order something that didn't work with any of
my IC options.

Wouldn't it default to invoice only but still allow the order to be placed,
or are you suggesting removing that option (for all buyers) too?

Nope. If you have the option enabled that new users MUST use IC, it will never
give them the option for anything else. That's why I disabled that option;
I'd get new users wishing to purchase a newer item missing a weight, and
they couldn't go through IC because of it, but because of the enabled option,
they couldn't choose the Invoice Method either. So they'd get an error
along the lines of "this seller does not have any available shipping methods
for you.

And wouldn't it also stop established buyers using IC too and so possibly
put those buyers off.

Yep, that's one reason why it's a terrible idea.

Hello, all! Just looking for some input here. A little while back I built this
minifigure display case for myself using some scrap wood lying around. I shared
it around and people were quite impressed, so now I've been considering possibly
making professional looking ones and attempting to sell them. But I'm wondering
what those in the Lego community like when purchasing cases.

How many minifigures would you want a case to hold?

Mine has LED lights which work really well to light up the minifigures. Looking
online, I couldn't really find any cases that have lights. Is that something
you'd want/pay a little extra for?

I assume people prefer cases that can hang on the wall and have doors to protect
from dust.

So what are your favorite cases and why?

There's no wrong answers; like I said, just looking for some input before
I attempt something like this.

Happy building!

What I would really like is a way to promote new users coming to Bricklink and
my store. Something like a 5% coupon at my store when someone signs up.
I can't give them a coupon now until they sign up, but that brings in a lot
of work for people. They have to sign up and message me with their user name,
and wait for me to get back to them with the coupon. Not as fun as checking
out my store and placing an order right away.
.
The coupon should have some controls. Thinking fixed time, probably 120 days
from when I create it. That way I can keep it fresh. And I would like it one
time use per person. After they place an order I can give them discounts through
existing system.
.
New users are fundamental to Bricklink. This also helps everyone else because
after they are here they will find all the wonderful other stores out there (yours).

Mass couponing was disabled years ago.
You can send new members a coupon manually.

I can understand that to protect from coupon spamming, but I think coupon codes
would be a great replacement for it. It's a shame bricklink doesn't have
such a feature.

Part No: 19734 Name: Body Pixelated with Cube Feet, Minecraft Creeper

19734 Body Pixelated with Cube Feet, Minecraft Creeper
Parts: Minifigure, Body Part {Green}

It's only found on minifigures, so why isn't it a minifigure, body part.
I find it quite silly that if you have the whole creeper, it's a minifigure,
but if you just have the body, it's an animal...

The 17th was a Friday, so if something happened to unexpectedly go wrong, then
the next possible business day to ship wouldn't be until tomorrow (yes, Saturday
could've worked but no everyone works on Saturday). So I wouldn't get
too hasty, though they should have notified you of any delay. This is why when
we get asked when an order will be shipped, we respond with "it should
ship by x date", not "it will". Because inevitably, whenever I say
it will, something happens and it doesn't get shipped until the next day.

YES YES! The log from the other site is so helpful to narrow down discrepancies

Niek.

In all honesty, that meaning did not cross my mind at all when I wrote that.
It wasn't until contemplating what your comment meant for about 30 seconds

Out of 82 orders, you have 57 that left positive feedback. That's 71%, an
incredibly high rate (ours is at 58%). How about you focus on those who have
left feedback rather than those who haven't. Your main goal as a seller should
be to satisfy your customers, not see how high of a score you can get on the
feedback counter. You assume that if that other 29% left feedback, they'd
all be positive, but its quite possible that some of those customers would give
neutral or even negative, but didn't because they didn't want to risk
escalating anything. Sometimes no news is good news.

It happens to me more and more often that buyers do not release feedback.
This is unpleasant, especially for sales with low amounts that involve a lot
of work.
You can think of a kind of sanction: if you don't release feedback within
30 days, automatically, that buyer will have neutral feedback with the motivation
"he hasn't released feedback" (it's just an example).
Paolo

As a buyer I don't leave feedback until the seller does. Have you left feedback
for all of the orders you've received?

I don't agree with the "I don't leave feedback until the other party
does" mentality. If everyone acted that way, no feedback would ever be left.
As a seller, if the buyer pays and doesn't cause trouble, they get a feedback
from me. As a buyer, if the seller ships the order out in a reasonable time and
everything is accounted for, they get a feedback from me. Whether the other party
leaves any for me is entirely up to them and I don't apply that to the equation
at all.

Minifig Head, has 74 pages of minifigs to go through! A lot of these minifigs
are not sorted, and appear by default by date listed in the catalog or by number.

I therefore suggest that the category "Minifig, Head" be subdivided further
into categories, rough suggestion as follows:

Standard male minifig heads. If it properly identifies as a male minifig head,
it should go here.

Standard female minifig heads. Same as above, except if there are female features
included.

Standard minifig head, undetermined type. If it doesn't fit into either of
the above and is not a masked or theme specific head, it goes here.

Minifig heads with a mask on or designed to be worn with a helmet through which
printed features, such as eyes, show through

Minifig heads specific to a licensed theme, such as Star Wars.

These are just some broad categories to hopefully narrow down the number of pages
one has to go browsing through looking at random minifig heads. More may be needed,
anyone have suggestions or comments to the above?

There may be other categories that could benefit from subdivision or reorganization.

Cheers ...

Trust me, dividing categories by attributes like this would cause all sorts of
trouble.

There are advanced search tools to help you with this.

First, always start at the Color Guide and then choose the Minfigure, Head category.

Refine your search by Hollow Stud or Blocked Open Stud

Then work on the big, obvious characteristics: Dual Sided, Alien, Glasses

Don't forget you can use - to exclude items as well. -beard, -female etc.

Sort by Date especially if you have a sense of how old your part may be.

Good luck!
Jen

Yep, this. It's not that hard to find what you're looking for once you
get used to using key words to narrow down results.

Built this crude display case last week using some scrap wood we had. Can't
post a video, but it uses a Mindstorm EV3 with motor to rotate the pedestals.
If I make another, I'm going to compact the wiring and motor so it doesn't
need as big of a base, make the ceiling a little higher, put a little more distance
between the walls and end stands, and perhaps put some sort of sliding door to
keep dust out. But I'm pretty happy with this one for the moment.

Just happened over the last couple of days. A customer contacted us saying an
astronaut minifigure was missing from their order. We couldn't find it here.
Was about to refund them when a second customer contacted us saying they got
an astronaut in their order they didn't purchase. Somehow the fig decided
to stowaway in the wrong order. Both people were extremely helpful and patient.
The second customer was more than willing to send the figure directly to the
first, for which we paid for the shipping cost.

All in all, what rightfully could've been a messy and costly mistake on our
side was quickly resolved due to the great character and patience of both customers.

And then something that has happened several times over the years is the above-and-beyond
honesty of some customers. For every 50 quantity of a used lot that someone purchases,
we include an extra of that piece incase a damaged or f'lego gets by us.
So if someone orders 100 red studs, they'll get 102. And we'll get those
great customers that contact us saying they got an extra pin or two and wanting
to know how they can pay for them. Of course we tell them they're theirs
to keep, but it's always good to know that most customers out there still
have honesty.

This is not good, as I have painstakingly used this field to locate where sets

other sellers who do this. It is impossible to remember where everything is
put and at the moment I have a notebook for reference. But if the ‘My Remarks’
was carried through to the list of items sold, for the sellers information only,
my notebook could be dispensed with! How about it?

They do. Just make sure you enable remarks as visible as zorbanj pointed out.

In their terms that do state -- FREE SHIPPING available with minimum spending

Yes its only $10 more however to me auto shipping being turned on indicates that
the figure is the amount the seller will charge you.

Am I missing something? If they want to do this then have auto shipping turned
off. Any feedback would be appreciated.

IMO, he should eat the cost, though I don't know if he'll see it that
way. I can understand also his hesitancy to do so as it's a pretty high amount.
Any implemented IC methods should be final price.

back from.

I thought about contacting the buyer, but clearly someone with that kind of vengeful
attitude isn't going to be understanding in the slightest, especially after
I was so polite and helpful, even offering advice, during our exchange. The
buyer is new to BL so may not even be aware of how things work here. I'm
really not sure how to handle this situation but it is definitely frustrating.

I'd say ignore it and move on. Think from the buyer's perspective. They're
trying to get a set their son really wants, they find a store that sells it for
a good deal, places an order, then gets their order cancelled only because they're
new to the site. Gotta be quite frustrating and leaves a bad taste of bricklink
in their mouth.

Go to store settings management seller protection. If you check that box,
new users must use instant checkout to place an order. Since you have no IC methods
setup for your store, new users won't be able to place orders to begin with.

I strongly suggest that you enable that option as cancelling placed orders isn't
a good business practice.

Just asking.

Big companies do it to. We send the "order has shipped" message with
tracking number right when we print the label. We have the order up, tracking
number right there, may as well give the information now rather than waiting
until after we go to the post office and try to make sure we mark only the orders
that we did ship as shipped and send them the correct tracking numbers. It's
usually only an hour or so anyway between printing label and bringing package
to post office.

Feedback can only be left for transactions. Therefore you must have place at
least one order and hope the seller leaves you feedback (most do). It is probably
wise to place a couple purchases before selling anyway so you can get a feel
for the site.

I suppose the same could be said for a 1 lot order having to wait because a 400
lot order asked if you could ship asap.

But that wouldn't happen with our system. A one lot order takes 5 minutes
max to pull, package, and ship. It would still get done while not delaying the
400 lot asap order at all. You're jumping to worse-case scenario.

I mean if they all start coming in with "please ship asap" then what
has really changed?

Once again, jumping to worse-case scenario. This simply doesn't happen.

During anytime, but especially this busy holiday season, if you place an order
that needs to get shipped quicker than the store's stated shipping time,
leave a note with the order. If the seller is any good, they want to do their
best to get your order in time, and if simply told that it needs to ship quickly,
they will do their best to do so.

We are having an influx of orders needed by Christmas, as I assume everyone is.
That means those orders are getting a priority to be shipped, while the others
that remained silent are taking closer to our max of 5 business days to ship.
But I have been getting messages from orders 3-4 days old asking where it is;
they need it soon. This is slightly aggravating to us, as we want to get your
order to you in time and give you a pleasant experience at our store. But we
can't read minds, and if you don't tell us you need it by x day, or faster
than our max stated time, we assume you can wait that long if necessary. Of course
we try to ship them sooner if possible.

So please, do yourselves, and everyone, a favor. Let us know if you need the
order by Christmas or sooner. 99% of sellers will do their best to accommodate
your deadlines, if you will but let us know about them.

Merry Christmas everyone!

In truth the best way to operate in my view would be to always ship same day
or next business day as this should be achievable for the vast majority of orders
however if this cannot be achieved then just state your average shipping time
frames in your store front, that way you won't end up leaving buyers disappointed
or you could state any orders with higher than x amount of lots will take 2 days
longer to ship than normal

In my view every order should be treated with the same urgency and so I've
never really understood the need to prioritize one order over another because
in simple terms any order that I don't manage to ship the same day will just
get shipped the next day! Does this not sound achievable? If not it means your
store is taking on more business than it can realistically cope with which is
only ever going to lead to never ending backlogs and delays but if the buyers
aware of this then it wont be such a problem. However for me personally if it
was taking me 3-5 days to ship my orders I'd want to temporarily close my
store to catch up with the backlog so that I can return to shipping all my orders
same/next business day again as speedy service is important to me and I'm
sure appreciated by the customers too!

Everyone has there own way of doing it. If you can handle 1-2 business days then
great! But that is not feasible for us. We get many orders every day and it's
the weekend that makes it impossible to achieve such speedy service as yourself.
Also the fact that we are a huge store closing in on a million pieces with a
HUGE variety within that amount. Because of that, we often get large lot orders.
It only takes one days of 6+ orders of 70+ lots to make 2 business days unachievable.
We had over 600 lots come in on 7th.

To everyone: This post wasn't a rant or made in frustration. We are keeping
well up with orders, which people seemed to have misunderstood. I was merely
trying to advise customers to simply let us (and everyone) know if you need it
faster than the stated timeframe of a store. The purpose of this post was not
to debate whether 5 days is long or short, feasible or not. Since we started
this store over 5 years ago, this has been our timeframe and we have had very
very few issues with it.

As I told yorbrick, I am beginning to see an increasingly unsettling pattern
where the respones to a topic pick out something they disagree with, rather than
discuss the real point of the OP.

Unfair in the sense of they might have got their order sooner, even if they didn't
tell you they require it sooner (as they didn't know it was an option) and
even if it is within the advertised time scale.

A better approach might be to tell buyers in the checkout (rather than in the
forum) that if they want faster service then they should add a note and you will
prioritize their order over others. But of course if you do that then you might
get many people wanting a faster service, just so they don't slip down the
order list in case you are busy.

Oh, we tell them in our checkout as well. I didn't realize that such a simple
request would receive such backlash. But I've began noticing this trend in
the forum. Seems like the OP always gets backlash, regardless of what they say.

It's not as bad as you're thinking. Sometimes people need their orders
faster, and as such have to be done first or cancelled. We always keep shipment

wait several days longer.

But I have been getting messages from orders 3-4 days old asking where it is;
they need it soon.

Merry Christmas everyone!

just wanted to ask how many else have similar problems and any tips what to do
if it happens. I bought a quite expensive set here from brick link site and i
got in few days as promised.Nicely wrapped and all the intructions and box where
in good shape but it had unfortunately parts missing ( there were plenty of extra
parts but none of them helped). I was in touch with a seller first response was
from him that i have missed them and are somewhere in the box or bags. 7 out
of ten times that can happen but not in this case i went all parts thru separated
them in to bags and douple checked everything. In sellers add it was said it
is complete set. I been in touch with seller he responded to me compensating
me with 7€ and i can look the missing parts myself. Is it my job to look those
parts ..? Money plays no role here its just what are those sellers responsobilities
on these issues. Comments tips much appreciated

In situations where I miss pieces in orders, I will offer to replace them if
I have them or give a refund for them. I have never bought replacements myself
for a buyer, as I feel it is less complicated and overall better for the customer
if I refund them and they do it themselves.

Yes, shipping international is quite expensive. First, make sure your normal
shipping charges are set to domestic orders only, not international so you don't
keep coming across this problem.

I'd suggest not making any instant checkout methods for other countries and
start with Manual Invoice only until you get an idea of what the prices are.

I agree. If most were just given a warning like, "Hey, you have this on your

in x amount of days, your store will be suspended", I think close to 100% would
immediately fix what they were doing wrong and everyone would be happy.

Those are definitely all Lego. The gears you have are probably also Lego. Many
older pieces did not include the lego logo, some gears being some of them.

of lots and for some items in quantity...

The sorter could easely sorter 4000 parts overnight, but if you do that you'll
need to use box that have a the right size. If the problem is choosing a category
for every lots, i think i could add the option to use the basic bricklink categories.

Categories? It's worth nothing mixing all Minifig heads alltogether. The
sorting is only interesting if it differentiates every different lot.

Not necessarily. When sorting out our pieces, they are first broken down into
40 or so different categories. After that, we then break them down to individual
pieces then color and decoration. The first broad sorting is very monotonous
and it's hard to find employees who can handle doing it for more than a few
hours at a time before needing to go to something else.

A machine that could accurately organize into the 40 categories would be interestin.

Happily serving 0 feedback buyers since 2015. Send them my way please. I'll

And yes IC is the answer. Instant Checkout removed 100% of non paying buyers.

It's removed 99% for me. I'll still get the occasional one who buys something
missing a weight or dimensions and have to go through manual invoice and then
never pays. But for the most part, IC is amazing for both buyers and sellers.

So you want to exclude buyers without sufficient reviews from your store? Then
others should make sure that the potential buyer gets enough reviews to buy from
you as well.
I can only hope that these buyers mark your store as "least favorite".

Not really sure what has offended you but least favourite is a bit on the harsh
side isn't it?

Isn’t it exactly what you want:  That BL automatically least favourite the 0-feedback
buyers from your store?

We are running a business and when we see a drastic increase
in npb's we feel it is something that needs to be looked at by BL.

The choice wou;ld be the stores if that is what they want. There has to be a
better way to deal with this which is fair and equitable on all sides. - the
current situation is not . At least if they were not allowed to buy from your
store until they established themselves as a genuine buyer they would not be
least favorite but now they get a completed npb and negative feedback and are
stop listed.

So you don't want any new buyers at bricklink, unless other sellers deal
with them first until they are proven to be good enough to shop with you?

Maybe it is a good idea. Combined with fee changes. Sellers that allow new buyers
(necessary to keep the site alive in the long term) should get lower fees, offset
by higher fees for those that will only accept orders from established buyers.

Not sure I agree with that. Fees are not the issue. Non-serious buyers are. At
present you can choose the countries you sell to you,can set your terms and your
prices all fine but you cannot decide who to sell to within the countries that
you serve other than negative feeback. So expand that a bbd let stores/businesses
choose - but penalise them for making a sensible business decision - not sure
that would go down well at all.

I don't see how it's sensible. If it's sensible, then just about
everyone should do it. Yet if everyone blocked new buyers from buying until they're
established, how are they going to get established? Boom, no new buyers can do
anything and you've just killed bricklink.

Are you saying all 13% of those 0 feedback buyers don't pay? Because if not,
you're willing to lose the percent that does pay just to block the ones that
don't? Yes, it can be annoying. Before implementing IC, I had quite a few
non-paying buyers. But it's part of running a business. The good 0 feedback
buyers far outweigh the bad ones.

Is he sending them as emails or bricklink messages? If bricklink messages, just

Don't buy from him and move on. Honestly, that's a very poor business
practice aside from the dishonesty point of view. He states the reason he increased
prices is because they've been sitting in his inventory so long, but if they
haven't sold at that price, why does he think he can sell them at a higher
price?

USPS returned it to us 6 days later saying no such street. Any advice about how
to handle this one?

Contact the buyer to check the address.
Double check to see if the address on the package is correct. You may have transposed
a number.
Also, check Google maps to see yourself if it exists.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately the label was printed directly from PayPal
through their address verification. The buyer has received dozens of orders
this month to that address. Likely just a lazy postal employee is my guess.

If the address is 100% correct, then cover up the return stickers/writing and
ship the order out again. This happened to us once. The order got returned yet
the buyer verified the address was correct. Shipped it out again with the same
label and it was delivered without a problem.

And have noticed recent vaues of a few sets have gone way up eg-(76989) from
$280aud to $660 !
When trying to figure out why I noticed Brick Takeover has priced Aloy hfw001
at $1510aud, which makes the part out value way out of reality.

Brick Takeover also charges way too much for the Sand Green Plate, Round 1 x
1 ($48aud) in set (40521) also skewing the value massivley.

Is this accepted/normal?

Regardless of what other sellers are doing, I would use caution in parting out
any set with high amounts of sand green (or other uncommon colors).

The prices are often quite distorted, and will quickly crash as more sellers
add inventory.

Oh, thanks for the tip

Take sand green studs for example. Only made in one set in 2002 with a quantity
of two. I think the average was $5. Then the new disney haunted house came out
and it had over 50 in it. Looking at the part out price showed a crazy price
of over $300, yet people were already starting to list the studs for under $0.10.

That usually stops a lot of scammers as they don't want to give up their

I'm pretty new and did my first purchases here.
I was wondering: What is considered a acceptable shipping time here?

I noticed that the shipping (from germany to germany) takes very long. often
the order was marked as sent, but the package was sent a week later.

Is it normal that shippings here take up to 14 days, even for "small" orders?

I am just askin because i was wondering about that and i am a bit spoiled by
other marketplaces. Also I think its important to know this before i can make
accurate ratings for my purchases.

thanks for any help on this one.

I wouldn't say there is a specific timeframe, but it's more so reliant
on the shipping terms of the store. If it takes a store six days to ship my order
out but they guarantee in their terms 3 days or less, that would be unacceptable.
However, if that store that states they ship within 10 days gets my order out
in 6, that would be acceptable.

Feedback can only be left for orders. So you'll need to place an order with
someone if you ever want feedback.

Our inventory is in direct proportion to this little chart and has been for many
years. It will be differnt breakdowns by different regions, store specialisation
etc.

Our product families are our own internal 1 level up from Bricklink categories
e.g Bricks equals all the sub undeer bricks e.g modified, round etc.

Anybody else produce data like this? I am pretty sure qwertyboy does - right
Niek ?

To make sure I'm reading this right, this is based on "times sold", not "value"?
So if this is based off the sales of a 100 items, 8 of those would be minifigures?
I'd be curious to see how a value pie chart based off of the same sales would
differ from this one. My guess is the minifigure pie slice would be quite bigger.

  Hi
I have had two people contact me unable to purchase an item as my shipping size/weight
will not allow them to add the item to an order.

I have adjusted my shipping to larger size, but it has not made a difference.

The first item was the roller coaster, so a large and heavy box, but the next
time it is the haunted house, which is not as large or heavy.

Always have at least one invoice method shipping option. Otherwise, if anything
you have for sale is still missing either weight or dimensions data on bricklink,
it may not be able to be purchased.

I would have thought the item would be returned automatically to my store inventory.
Did we miss something?

I think it depends on what options you've selected as you've gone through
the cancel process. I've rarely done item removal requests, but I have done
several order cancels, but to return the items to my inventory there is a check
I have to specifically select.

  Thank you Dan

I did not realized that today was the day of his death. I came along in 2016,
but I am very thankful for his vision here. It's a sad week all around for
us. Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary that our dear friend Ethan Lakey
died at age 16. He worked for us in fulfilling orders for several months, and
rarely made any mistake.

You were the winner. The number generated was 196,689,917.

If anyone would like to see, here it is. I forgot to disable my audio so you

Congratulations Firestarter246!

Don’t forget to celebrate with pizza!

We had homemade pizza last night right before I saw the email that I was the
winner. So we celebrated early.

Ok, I just checked with an order that buyer already paid.
You accept only PayPal Onsite and There is no way you could have just given a
partial refund pf $5 AND cancelled the order.

You can cancel orders without refunding. All you have to do is change the status
from paid to ready or pending and you can cancel it, with or without a refund
or partial refund.

But yeah, your thought makes sense. Most likely the OP forgot to choose a reason
for refund. My guess is that the user has seen the paypal refund but for some
reason is not seeing the bricklink messages that the OP is sending. In which
case it will be hard to rectify this miscommunication.

The rules are simple. You guess, once per day, a number between one and one billion.
Next Friday at 17:00 UCT-5, I'll collect all the responses, and whoever chose
the number closest to the actual number will win a $50 (USD) LEGO gift card.
The winner will be DMed by me the card which I'll purchase electronically
through LEGO's website.

I'd prefer to only allow American users to participate since I'm not
sure I could buy a card in most other currencies, though I've given a card
to a Canadian friend via the Canadian LEGO site before. If it'll work for
you and you're not American, you can participate as well.

This site does not have ads...

While there are sellers that specialize in sets here, most specialize in individual
parts. I really don't think this is a site your looking for. Plus, people
are going to be very hesitant to interact with a user who creates an account
here simply to advertise rather than if you were a regular user of the site with
good feedback. We get scammers from time to time who create accounts simply to
create a scam post here, so a post like this immediately raises red flags, even
if that wasn't your intention.

0-feedbacks users, fresh new, make orders and then not only they do not pay,

I can understand the buyers' remorse, but the complete lack of politeness
is unexplicable to me.

I would suggest that if a buyer gets a NPB on their first order, probably they
are not good members of the community and their privileges should be revoked
without the need of waiting for three strikes.

Nope, don't like it. We shouldn't be making things too difficult and
risky for new users, as they are the reason bricklink stays alive. Already there
is the option to block negative feedback buyers, and I've sure most stores
have that enabled. That is basically in a way what you are suggesting, as a new
NPB buyer is most likely going to get himself a negative, blocking himself from
all those stores.
