PM? What brand is this?

Found in a lot of old lego, for sure not lego it says PM on the side (2nd image).
Curious if it is a brand or just some knock off cheap garbage supermarket collectable
toy

Thank you..

Thansk to all

This’s exactly how I do my laundry: I put all my clothes in a hermetic bag before
putting the bag in the machine.  The bag gets out really clean!
But I don’t get why people grimace when I’m upwind to them

IOW: if the peroxide is not in contact with the plastic, how can they react together?

My experience on (older) discolored items...

Although peroxide works on discolored white parts, it does not (properly) work
on discolored blue or grey parts.

However putting the items behind glass (e.g. HR+, HR++) in sunlight does work
on discolored white, blue and grey items. Maybe not all, maybe not perfectly
but I have had good results over the past years. Other colors I don't know.

Discoloring however may return after some time.

In feite illegaal gemaakte minifigs, onderdelen. Zie diverse forumposts van vrij
recente datum.
Geen prototypes, gemaakt door personeel in de baas z’n tijd met andere kleuren
dan de standaard kleuren.
Bedoeld om illegaal te verkopen en een extra zakcent te verdienen. Soort heling
dus.

In fact illegally made minifigs and parts. There are several quite recent forumposts
regarding this issue.
No prototypes, made by employees in workingtime in (for these parts or minifigs)
different colors.
Made to sell them illegally and earn some extra money.

Thx.

Someone is offering these by the 100s on local market place, claiming them to
be Lego.

Are these original LEGO star wars helmets? Or clones?

I've issued a partial refund through paypal, now on the Order page it shows
"Partial" and on the Manage Refund page it shows the amount as partial refund.

Is that all there is to it? Or should I do something more?

The Manage Refund page has a field to fill in the refund amount, should this
be done also?

3001old Brick 2 x 4 without Cross Supports
Parts: Brick
.
But what about the other vintage parts, like 6x10 plates that have no PN on the
back, just Lego on the studs? If you were really trying to recreate authentic
vintage sets, wouldn't you need to select from vintage PN?

A PN does not constitute a structural difference to the part, so the presence
or absence of a PN does not result in a seperate catalog entry. Nor does the
'pat pend' text printed on many old vintage parts. (We have tried but
it was not accepted, and that's for the better as well it would create a
chaos in the catalog.)

Besides that, I think that many if not (almost) all vintage parts like these
are already in the catalog. I myself and a few other collectors have done a great
job some 10 years ago the add many vintage parts.

BrickLink is owned by LEGO, so they most likely already have access to all data
available from BrickLink. The question is of course if they use it or not.

Admin,

Thank you for this message. I've reserved the name 'leggodtshop'
with my LEGO account and also changed (already) the nickname of my BrickLink
account accordingly. Both were accepted! Thank you!

However, my store is named Leggodt.nl and when I tried to change that to Leggodtshop.nl
it was rejected. The name was not allowed to contain an imitation of the word
lego....... with respect to that it already does so what's the problem? LEGO
has by no means reserved the word Leggodt in any way, so why doe sBrickLink not
allow this?

So it seems there is some discrepancy in what is allowed and what not. Since
LEGO accepted my nickname and BrickLink too, would it be possible for BrickLink
to accept it as storename too?

Many thanks!
Paul

In Administrative, Admin writes:
  Dear BrickLink member,

We’ll be making some changes to the LEGO® Account system in 2023 that’ll make
things a bit easier for you and other BrickLink® members. We’re introducing a
universal LEGO nickname that will work in all online LEGO experiences, including
BrickLink. This means that your username on BrickLink will be the same as your
LEGO Account nickname. That way, you’ll only have to keep track of one nickname,
and it’ll be easier for others to follow you and enjoy your LEGO content.

Right now, we’re giving our BrickLink and LEGO Ideas members a chance to create
and reserve their preferred nickname before we open the service to other LEGO
account holders. If you already have a LEGO Account, we’ll ask you to do a quick
setup on that account by following the link below. All you must do is submit
your BrickLink username as your new LEGO Account nickname. That’s how we’ll make
sure you get the nickname you prefer, on BrickLink, LEGO Ideas and everywhere
else!

If you do not have an account already, follow the link below to create an account
and to select your own nickname.

We understand how important it is to you that other BrickLink members recognize
you on our site, so we encourage you to complete the nickname setup as soon as
you can.

There’s one more thing, though. For trademark and copyright reasons, nicknames
can’t contain words like “LEGO” or “BrickLink” We appreciate all our BrickLink
members, and we understand that changing your nickname isn’t necessarily something
you’d like to do. It’s all part of our work to provide our BrickLink members
with the best possible way to connect with the LEGO brand and each other, and
we hope you’ll feel the benefits of this going forward.

If you find your nickname is rejected for this reason, we encourage you to use
other words related to the LEGO brand like “brick” or “build.” See what fun and
personal combinations you can make!

Anyway, here’s what you need to do:

• Follow this link to log in to your LEGO Account or to create a new LEGO account

https://identity.lego.com/en-US/profile?returnUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bricklink.com%2F&clientid=0fd7ca3b-3a33-48e3-a747-8ec6f09557c1&appContext=false&adultexperience=true&hideheader=true&hideclosebutton=false&hideexternallogin=false&childsignupexperience=

• Click the Edit icon next to your avatar
• Choose your preferred nickname in the field
• Click Submit and wait a few seconds for your nickname to be approved
• That’s it! You’re all set!

Please select your preferred nickname by the 16th of January 2023. If you’re
not able to change it by this time, we’ll give you an auto-generated nickname.

PLEASE CHECK THESE GUIDELINES BEFORE SUBMITTING A NEW NICKNAME

A nickname...

• can be created in the languages available within a LEGO experience, e.g., LEGO.com
or LEGO Life.
• must be between 4-25 characters in length
• can contain both upper- and lower-case letters
• can be a mix of characters and numbers
• can include a maximum of 4 numbers
• can only include the following special signs: ‘.’ and/or ‘-‘and/or ‘_’
• can include spaces, but not two or more consecutive spaces
• can’t contain the LEGO wordmark including any variations that make it look
as if the name indicates an individual representing the LEGO Group
• can’t contain a LEGO franchise that is a trademark owned by the LEGO Group
• can’t contain a name from another intellectual property not owned by the LEGO
Group (example: Star Wars)
• can’t contain an email address or other contact info
• can’t contain references to other social platforms
• must adhere to the standard LEGO moderation guidelines including but not limited
to political or religious topics, drugs and alcohol, weapon references, hate
speech, profanities, violence, or abusive language

Quite normal and required for shipping. In these cases I use a pre-paid seperate
number not used for anything else, to avoid using your private/personal number.

IMO that is taking a risk already. You won't be able to respond quickly to
orders giving buyers a reason upfront for complaining.

I have in my terms that I am not responsible for import tax and I am not lying
to customs.

Import tax is always for the buyer, but often not expected. Not much to do about
that, buyers just have to pay it.

I came back from vacation on August 12th and immediately started packing the
order (all customers knew very clearly before ordering that I was not there and
from when I was going to ship), his shipments were sent on the 14th and with
2.5 weeks arrived. Now the customer had to pay import tax and indicates that
it is my fault because it arrived at the same time, and that it takes a very
long time etc (package has been sent to Ukraine and because of the war it just
takes a long time (I can't do much about it))

Now the customer started blackmailing me that I had to pay him €46 because this
is my fault (customer also buys EX VAT from me so already has 21% tax advantage
(€65 so more than €46).

Where is the blackmail? You exchanged negative feedback and that's all there
is to it. Bad luck, move on...

This buyer also owns a shop on BL and I believe that these kinds of bad apples
should be removed.

This store has good feedback record. No bad apple at all.

Now I try to reach bricklink but get no response on form, feedback removal is
also rejected, while there are just demonstrable lies in it.

There is no reason to remove feedback.

Who can help me?

What do you want?

Now I try to reach bricklink but get no response on form, feedback removal is
also rejected, while there are just demonstrable lies in it.

There is no reason to remove feedback.

Who can help me?

What do you want?

Thanks, Hilary

Used.. New... Complete... it's been discussed for years and over and over
again...

Somewhere along the road someone stated a different approach which I quite like.

It is as follows.

Better to underpromise and overperform, than to overpromise and underperform.

Think about it. What will it do on the short term and long term? And what do
you like the most for your shop? Your customers? Their feedback for you? Now...
how would you describe your set in your shop?

Happy days!

I have a whole lot of images (of piece parts and minifigures) that are better

Should I gather the images and send them somewhere they can be replaced on the

Thanks, love the website!

Long time, since 2006, my shop specialized in pat pend lego parts. However the
sources have been drying up since a couple of years or way too expensive to buy.
There is not much to sell anymore.

I do have to disagree to some extent with that. if a brick has anything other

So.. and what is 'normal'

There is no objective classification possible for used items.

It's said it's possible that rubber part like the truck tyre degrade
or melt into paste, is
it really that bad? I am living where in the summer the temperature could reach
35 degree cel outdoor.

How about the remote control for train? Will it have any problem after long term
storage?

Probably I am talking about after 10-20 years before I may open it for the first
time

On a similar note, do lego bricks still discolor if kept in the dark? Or is the
discoloration due to ultraviolet light?

Darkness is the perfect condition for avoiding discoloration as far as I know.

I don't know about that... lego is meant to be in the light to play with,
so the materials are chosen to be colorproof in the light not in the dark

Older parts I know of have been faded in the dark, white-greyish, blue-greenish,
but when I put them in the sunlight (behind the windowglass) the color comes
back to original. Hence "proving" my point above

Ok, Russell. Thx.

We work hard last month and open Limited Liability Partnership in Kazakhstan.
This gave us a chance to continue working with our foreign customers. Now we

and an address to confirm the existence in this country.
Admin_Russell, I and all guys from Favorite Cubes kindly ask you to make the

This seems like a major change for your shop, are you moving all stock to the
new place in Kazakhstan? Are you also moving yourself to Kazakhstan and live
there?

It seems to me that you will need to go to PayPal or your Bank, since they do
not allow payments anymore. That is not caused by BrickLink, so BrickLink cannot
solve it either.

Are there any good resources for figuring out which bricks are genuine and which
are not?

I assume there's lots of sorting taking place and some people have more experience
telling stuff apart. The bulk of stuff is pretty obvious. Color sets certain
brands easily apart. Specific parts are unique to certain brands. Some Lego
has brand identification on it but not all. Or, may be there but too small to
actually see.

However, there still are near identical parts with near identical colors. Has
anyone found resources to help tell them apart?

This is of benefit to the community. This would help avoid the problem of an
inexperienced seller accidentally sending a non-Lego item improperly sorted from
a used lot.

Thanks
Andrew

  Hi all,

I am puzzled by the fact that I receive most orders on Monday and not on Saturday
or Sunday.

I understand that you use the weekend to spend on your hobby, but why do you
place the order on Monday, the day you should be at work? And not on Sunday evening?

Do you use Sunday night to 'sleep on it?' And if so, why?

Of course I understand that orders from the USA that are placed on Sunday evening
will only arrive on Monday evening. But I'm not talking about that.

It is the orders from Europe that always arrive on Mondays. And the rest of the
week you can just forget about: no orders. This, of course, only pertains to
my small shop.

Anyway, I have packed my weekly 3 orders placed on Monday (all from The Netherlands)
and ship them tomorrow.

Monday is not a busy day at work? So best spent (work) time for your hobby purchases

Going through my personal collection I came across a small parts container that
I used to store minifigure parts in. When I looked in it, I found the parts to
the minifigs from the Republic Gunship (7163)

Set No: 7163 Name: Republic Gunship
*
7163-1 (Inv) Republic Gunship
638 Parts, 8 Minifigures, 2002
Sets: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 2

The figures were never assembled/played with, but pulled from the bags and added
to the organizer. I put "Jedi Jimmy" together today for the first time and noticed
a minor flaw on his face. Do I need to list him has Used or can I list as New
with a comment about the flaw?

Thanks!

From a legal point of view, if you are an business and bought the items new from
another business (and have not played with it) you may resell it as new. However,
if you are a private person, or you bought the items from a private person, it
is used even if you have never played with it.

In this particular case... new but damaged? What's the point in selling it
as new? Do you think it will go for a higher price? It is damaged! Sigh...

  Hello,

AGAIN I received the customs for an order from EU to extra-EU for which I already
paid taxes in advance.

AGAIN I will have to start a fight with the seller who will try any way to avoid
refunding me, as it happened before.

AGAIN the seller attached the BL invoice that seems to be USELESS right now.

Now, let's face it, it was easier back then. You don't pay taxes in advance,
you pay them when you receive your goods and it's all.

What will happen? Either of:
1) People from outside EU will stop selling to EU sellers, losing a lot of money.
2) If the order is small, people will contact the seller, ask if they can buy
those 3 4 items and do it OUTSIDE bricklink. So they don't pay taxes, they
don't pay 3% of BL fees, and everyone is happy.

Has BL to collect taxes due to some laws? That is fine. I can cope with that.
But this doesn't mean any way that a buyer must pay two times taxes. This
is a theft. I'm not
exaggerating. It's purely a theft. I am asked to pay something that I already
paid for!

And... btw if BL is forced to do this, why isn't that happening with eBay
purchases? With eBay, everything is going well as usual. Shouldn't eBay be
forced to follow the same rules?
Sorry... but something is wrong here.

I see no solutions, and this is going to be very very bad for Bricklink.
It's somewhat downfall... and I was really afraid to witness it sooner or
later.

This happens because BL is not implementing it full service. They just do what
the must do only nothing more. However if BL is doing things as ebay they will
become the seller and you are no longer the seller, just a provider of goods.
Do you want that?

One difficulty is that PayPal might have the buyer ship the order back to the
seller to move a claim forward, hard to do if the buyer no longer has the order.

And another is one buyer not sending. If one posts what they incorrectly received
to someone else but don't get anything in return, they have given away something
that is not theirs to give away.

OMG you all see problems only good luck with that

So what do you prefer? Solve the issue amongst each other with some extra cost
and get it over with... or start claims, sending it back to the seller with extra
cost having no items at all but a lot of time and effort and frustration instead....
?

I would know.

BL should contact the store and if they do not respond, close their store until
they do. Why do we pay fees? This should be a help option for the people who
need help. Not just a place for BL to collect fees while others who trust BL
get treated poorly by bad stores under the BL name. Even Ebay and paypal help
you whether you are the buyer and pay no fees or seller who does pay fees.

BL is not ebay, but if you want to pay 12% fees as on ebay they might go for
it??

Another buyer and I with the same last name got our orders mixed up. I have his
order and he has mine. I understand the mix up, but the seller will not even
respond to either of us to fix this problem. I clicked on Report problem on the
order form, but it only says

Send message (done multple times) (the other buyer and I have made contact twice)
&

File a non-shipping alert.

Where is the non-responding seller?

The other buyer and I could mail each other their items but I would be out priority
mail cost to the 1st class shipping cost of my original package and both of us
have already paid shipping to the selling store HHH Brick Depot.

Can BL help with this or not?

I suggest you take your loss of the cost of shipping to each other, then at least
that problem is solved.

Of course start a NSS or NRS with the seller, but if that will resolve much
is uncertain. I don't think BL can do much or anything at all, what would
you like them to do?

If there is a fire you also will put it out first before investigate the cause.

I would file a claim with PayPal. If the seller doesn't reply to that and
you get your money back, then you can arrange shipping the correct packages to
the other buyer.
